Cons: We loved everything except for Joe's breakfast. He served the same egg bake 2 days in a row except the first day included corn and the next day included zucchini. However, the third day JoAnn served a wonderful breakfast!
It is very conveniently located. It is a short walk to the beach and to restaurants and stores. Also, Beauclaires has its own parking area right next to the Inn.
Pros: This was our third stay in Beauclaires and has become our favorite. The innkeeper, Joe, is an excellent host and makes everyone feel welcome. The breakfasts are delicious, and the people you meet at the breakfast table add to the family atmosphere.
It was average but the location was the best thing
Pros: The location was great
Cons: The discription of the room and what we actually had was very different the room was very small and there were ants in the bathroom
When you stay at Beauclaires Bed & Breakfast Inn, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Cape May Lighthouse. Free perks include full breakfast, WiFi, and self parking.
Pros: Nice room, clean, comfortable bed, great shower. Quaint building, romantic for couples, really nice dining and bar room.
Cons: Everything was fine except for...
1. How long it took to get me checked into my room because the girl at the front desk baby-talked each of the two individual guests in front of me, one at a time, rather than take the expedient course by showing everyone all at once the little details all guests needed to know. We were all standing right there, so it seemed to me that wasting other people's time like that was unnecessary and could have been handled better.
2. They stuck me up on the 3rd floor for no apparent reason, and I say that because it's off-season in Cape May right now so there were very few guests and I'm quite certain plenty of available rooms on the first and second floors. There's also no elevator. This was a work trip, I had just worked a 12+ hour day, and other than my suitcase which the concierge was nice enough to drag up there for me, I still had two laptops and other things and therefore had to make two trips up three flights of stairs. I really didn't like that, at all. In my opinion, any hotel with multiple floors should have an elevator. Making guests walk up several flights of steps just to get to their rooms is unacceptable.
3. The breakfast options on the card they give you, are limited. Also the times at which they will deliver it. If I recall correctly, the earliest they will deliver breakfast to your room, or you can even get it, is 7:30am. If you're on a work trip like I was, and you don't have time to be waiting around until that late in the morning, then if you stay at this hotel you'll likely wind up checking out and going out for breakfast on your way to the office instead.

Pros: Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. Our trip was very brief, and we returned to the hotel around 11pm, following the event we had travelled to attend. My daughter had been fighting a cold and wanted some hot tea to soothe her throat. There are no microwaves or coffee makers in the room, and the Blue Pig was closed. However, a woman was doing the bookkeeping and we asked if was possible to get tea. She went to the back and made a cup for my daughter. I offered to pay or bill it to the room, and she said not to worry about it.
Also, the valet service is so convenient and sanity saving, even in the off season.
Cons: The fitness center is probably one of the least used amenities in any hotel, so the offerings aren't very robust. This holds true here as well. Two treadmills, an elliptical, a bike, and a bench with a rack of hand weights. My advice, pack a resistance band to beef up your options. It takes less space in your luggage than sock.
Pros: The whole Christmas atmosphere. The hotel looked awesome!
Cons: That was raining the next day!
Other than that it was a good stay!
Pros: Celebrated my 50th Birthday with wife & friends. Awesome!
Cons: The Bouler Room was closed Saturday Night :(

Cons: We had a pricy suit and the room was terribly managed and furnished for the money we paid. Cleaning service was horrible. No room service and the food disgusting. They stole my expensive bottle of wine from the room on the top of it! Never again to this hotel!!!

Pros: Host was charming. Breakfast awesome.
Cons: Distance for parking. I like to walk but being the only driver it was a bit inconvenient.
Above average but not the best. A little musty for my taste but lovely staff.
Pros: breakfast, tea time and location to the beach. One block walking distance from the beach.
Cons: the room we stayed in was small and cramped. Our bathroom was not in the room but down the hall. Not very conveient for the middle of the night
Excellent location, within walking distance to beach, shopping, dining and attractions. The room was comfy, clean and cozy. The best water pressure I've ever had at the shore (and we were on the 3rd floor of an old Victorian house!). Afternoon tea with home baked goodies and a lovely breakfast greeted us daily. We will be returning for many years to come.
Pros: This is our first B&B experience and it has ruined us for hotels on trips to come. Our suite (Maple Leaf) had a comfy bed, beautiful view of the ocean and was cozy. Afternoon tea and breakfast were delicious. Elan and Susan were wonderful.

Pros: The Star is a cozy inn close to the beach, town, and next to Congress Hall which has a restaurant, bar, and shops. It's nice and quiet and a great value. Pros: Great location across from the beach and in the middle of everything. Bike rental and bagel shop on the first floor.
Cons: Though an interesting building, picture Bates Motel in terms of rooms. Stark, threadbare sheets, mattress about 2 inches thick. When my husband and I sat on the bed - we just had to laugh. The rooms also had a strange rose smell (like your grandmother's house maybe). For almost $200/night - that was it. No breakfast, no coffee, no amenities (i.e. pool), room air conditioner - basic. Way too much $ for the room.
