Pros: The sight, the room, the atmosphere, the staff - everything is amazing at this place. Tge hotel does not have a restaurant, but that does not matter. The picnic options are just great. No matter if you like to eat warm or cold. The staff is just wonderful. They helped us with everything and took great care.

Pros: This was by far one of the best experiences we have had. Rui & Elizabeth were amazing hosts and their home was stunning. The setting on the Douro river, the delicious dinner and breakfast, the attention to detail everywhere was not lost on us! We would recommend doing the half board as Elizabeth is an excellent chef. Rui recommended a delicious wine with dinner that we won’t forget. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
Cons: It was a bit tricky to find if you aren’t familiar with the area but our GPS helped tremendously.
Pros: Dear Rui and Elizabete thank you for a perfect stay in your Quinta! Your recomandations Rui are great and Elizabete the dinners were fantastic! Hope to see you again :)
Pros: Everything was amazing! We truly enjoyed our stay and we wished we had stayed more than one night. Beds were very comfortable, great hospitality from the host and the food was beyond great!
Pros: Attentive and personal service, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent food and wine.
Cons: Signage on approach needs to be improved.
Pros: Homely great view. Facilities and food. Kind nice hosts....
Cons: Bit isolated but great venue. Homely.
Pros: A very personal stay with great facilities for all the family.
Pros: Comfy bed, nice location.
Cons: No hand wash liquid in the bathroom. The water in the shower and jacuzzi was just warm and not hot enough for the winter. By the time the jacuzzi was full the water was cold. Only one main dish option for dinner
Pros: All the criteria are excellent!
Pros: The owners. Rooi and Elisabeth.
Pros: Such a lovely authentic quinta only an hour or so from Porto. Elizabete was incredibly friendly and sweet even though we didn’t speak much Portuguese and she doesn’t speak too much English! We were starving by the time we got there in the afternoon and she called ahead to a local restaurant to make sure they could accomodate us. Definitely get the half board option with dinner included. She cooked us a delicious meal and suggested lovely local wines, finishing with a glass of port. The views were great, and our room was spotless. Really one of the most special places we have stayed.
Pros: The house is 400 years old manor, with in house chapel, stateroom where owners serve breakfast, beautiful grounds. It was kept in one family through all these years and it shows. They managed to renovate and add modern amenities keeping the charm and “patina” of the ages intact.
Pros: This old 17th century family run Manor was a little oasis in a beautiful landscape owed by the most friendly couple who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable it felt like home from home
Pros: An outstanding place to stay - you simply cannot find many comparable accomodations anywhere. This is a truly fantastic place with a lot of character, historic charm and an aura of nobility that breathes from every inch of the house. The hosts are very warm and pleasant people who go to great lengths to make your stay a fantastic one. Although our stay was a short one, we would certainly return to this one-of-a-kind venue. Highly recommended to anyone who wishes to add a touch of royalty to their holiday.
Pros: The owners
Cons: A little too quiet
Pros: Very relaxing atmosphere. The owners and staff were very polite.
Pros: Everything was amazing, my family and I really loved the stay. Fresh, tasty and wide selection breakfast. Lovely and helpful staff.
Pros: The house is charming and comfortable. The hosts were remarkable from our initial arrival and ensured that we had a pleasant stay in the home. Breakfast the following morning was a great to start our day. We would visit again, and would plan a route to stay at Outeiro Tuias again when in Portgual.
Pros: Jose Maria and Innes were lovely, friendly and welcoming hosts. Their home (Manor) is gorgeous and to think it has been in his family for over 400 years. Rooms are lovely and big. Furnishings so old but beautifully kept and well placed so home (and it is a home not just a house) is inviting, warm and brightly decorated unlike some old homes that are quite dark. Breakfast was lovely and fresh with plenty of pastries, breads, fresh made scrambled eggs on order, fresh cut fruits/berries, cereals and assorted meats and cheeses. Grounds are expansive complete with a swimming pool, deck chairs and hammock. Some Roman pieces have been found and the property and are displayed in the grounds. The Chapel and 1601 part of the Home with original furnishings was great to see. Helping yourself to communal tea/coffee and homemade biscuits was good. Hubby enjoyed the hospitality and taste of the white wine from the attached vineyard. The offered heater (early June)from Innes was most welcome since we come from warmer climes!
Cons: Wish we could e stayed longer.
Pros: Liked the authenticity of the villa
Cons: We really didn't like that our room balcony was connected to the corridor and another room - at 2 am at night we were waken up by very loud portuguese couple, who were having a ''loud'' discussion and didn't let us sleep, it felt as if they were just next to us - we were very mad. Also we couldn't leave the doors of balcony open, because they were connected to the corridor and there was no air conditioner. The photos of rooms are quite different from the reality. Our room was quite dark and really didn't look like in the photos. What is more, the external bathroom means a bathroom outside the room (tricky title) - didn't know that while booking the room and wouldn't have booked it at all.
Pros: Beautiful old house of considerable architectural interest, centred on a baroque chapel.
Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a shared kitchen and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi. Albufeira Hostel offers a terrace. Guimarães is 43 km from Albufeira Hostel, while Amarante is 25 km from the property. The nearest airport is Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, 56 km from the accommodation.
Pros: Good en clean place to stay but you need your own transport when you choose to stay there.
Cons: Took more than 30min waiting for check in because there was no one on the front desk. I was told that breakfast would be between 8h-10h but after waiting 40min I left without eating anything. While I was waiting I called to the propriety’s number but they rejected the call.
