Wi-fi signal was really poor, it should be improved.
location near center
Helpful staff, ideal location for Udine, room very comfortable. We hired a car and found this easier than using public transport and drove into Venice for the day which was only 1.5 hours away from Udine and spent Saturday at the Speedway Grand Prix in Terranzano which was a great night out.
Dinner and bathroom were very good. Breakfast was also very generous. Finally there was also a parking lot. Wireless network was sometime slow
Bad bathroom ventilation - there was mold in shower bath
We liked during our stay at hotel clean rooms and friendly hotel staff There is very narrow entry to underground car park and incoming road has big slope
Was a quiet place, no noises around and also the climate inside the room was good The room is too small for being 4 stars hotel
the free wireless internet room is small. Toilet is not good. Locations of hotel is far from the shops. you need to walk about 20 minutes to reach the center.
I found the Hotel Astoria to be staffed by very competent people who were friendly, knew the area and could direct us, and efficiently helped us resolve any issues or desires we had during our stay. The room exceded our expectation in terms of comfort and looks. I was also impressed by how quiet the hotel is and how good the breakfast was. When we had trouble connecting to the internet in our room, we were shown to a room well equipped for business with a desk, computer, printer, internet and water. When it turned out that we left something behind in our room after checking out, the hotel emailed me and offered to send the item of clothes to me (in another country). And its located centrally in the charming city of Udine. There is nothing I did not like.
Everything worked for us perfectly Nothigng
The cleanness of the room and that it is in the city centre No
I had a very good access for everything , my business points in the morning and night life in the same time. the hotel has a very good reputation in the city and I will choose it every time. perfect for me !
Nice, clean and quite. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Hotel staff very polite. Well located in the middle of the town, with easy access to the shopping area, restaurants, bars and Udine castle.
The hotel is in a fantastic location near the city centre. It is a skip to the shops. Great for shopping! We were upgraded to a nice suite slightly bigger than the room we have booked. The bathroom is huge! The rooms are clean. At the breakfast area, the only staff we took care of us was very prompt and kept the area really well. It is about 10 min cab ride from the train station. We are very happy with our stay overall. However, it will be nice to have a room with a view. The hot water in our room was inconsistent and there were no shower curtains in the shower area.
excelllent service, friendly staff, beautifull renoveted rooms
Upon arrival we were told that, though we boooked a standard room, we would be upgraded to a suite - excellent. Two big tv sets in the suite - albeit smal choice of channels !
The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was nice, clean and spacous. And it is really two steps of the historical center of Udine.
it simply OK No
Very elegant hotel, decorated with good test. Very clean and comfortable room.
convinient location and secure parking. Excellent breakfast terasse and very friendly breakfast staff. The room we stayed was not clean, i.e. dusty under the couch etc. The staff noticed (and has been informed upfront) that we will arrive with a 2 year old and no arrangement was made for an additional bed nor any help was offered upon arrival.
Attractive, comfortable hotel located within a 5 minute walk from the historic old city, which includes excellent restaurants and a castle. Nothing negative to comment on.
We stayed the 2nd time in this hotel so we are pretty satisfied with it. Unfortunately our view from the window was this time to a wall, but last time we had very nice view to the mountains. We stayed the 2nd time in this hotel so we are pretty satisfied with it, but what we did not like this time was: 1. view from the room was to a wall when last time we had beautiful view to the mountains, 2. new breakfast room, not cosy at all, they need some plants and paintings on the wall. Last time we had breakfast on the street side on the terrace with a view to the park in front of the hotel... I guess we had last time the nice side of the hotel and now the less nicer side...
The hotel and staff were excellent. Reception extremely helpful. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is walking distance to the old town and the railway station. Nice and varied breakfast supplied.
We've stayed only for one night as we were in the city for the Coldplay concert but we were very happy with the staff, cleanliness, locattion and breakfast. The hotel is located 500 meters away from the railway station and near a nice small park. The Wi-Fi didn't work during our stay but they fixed it pretty fast so... nothing much to really complain about.
Furniture is good designed, the service is friendly and professional, rooms are very comfortable. The location is central: 10 walking minutes from the historical landmarks of Udine, you do not need a car to reach them. Some good restaurants are nearby as well. If the breakfast room is good designed and inviting (like the rest of the hotel), the breakfast buffet is good, but unfortunately, more "italian" than international: poor choice of sausage/bacon, no eggs at all. It is ideal for people at diet.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, the room spacious and clean. Breakfast was rich and tasty. The location near to the city centre and railway station is excellent.
clean, comfortable room. There was one very nice man at the desk who recomended a fine restaurant not too far away at which we found great food and made friends. We arrived thirsty, but to get served at the bar was an ordeal befitting Fawlty Towers. The restaurant was pathetic, could not consider eating dinner there, breakfast was a matter of standing about waiting for one of the children (no adult staff in sight) to finally prepare a table for us to sit. Coffee was awful. The eggs were all gone an hour before breakfast concluded, though they said they would bring more it didnt happen in the 20 minutes we had time for. Mind you they charge 12 euro extra for this. Also the most expensive room we took in all of Europe, and nothing special.
Convenient for our purposes in visiting local area. Close enough to town centre and for exploring city.
The Reception staff were helpful and expressed genuine surprise and regret at the fact our bathroom had not been cleaned properly. We thought the hotel looked fun and funky with it's imaginative facade (looking somewhat African). In truth it is simply a new front on a rather tired hotel. The bedrooms are straight out of the 1970's and 80's!
Efficient staff, extremely comfortable, very clean. A bit far from the centre of town (ten rather than five minutes walk).
It is excellent in value for money No
Nice hotel, big bed in the single room
simple internet connection. Good size room.Very good breakfast service, good location close to the city center
Good location, easy to find, clean, exceptible prices, good hotel staff, free and ensured parking, wi-fi
used as a base for speedway grand prix at terenzano
We stopped at Hotel Friuli on the way from Italy to Slovenia. I knew the hotel because I had stayed several times there in my business trips.Nice and professional more for business travellers but also for those who want to see Udine, because the hotel is located near the center.Very good parking at the hotel. Breakfast is quite good.
The rooms were neat and the price was very reasonable
Good location.excellent overnight stop between Germany and Rome. Helpful staff. Wi Fi did not work.
A good choice if you are going by car and wish to visit the city center by foot thanks to big parking and 10 minutes walking distance to the centre. Efficient well functionong hotel with fully equipped business style rooms. The fastest check in and out I have ever experienced (and this after hundreds of hotel stays...). The hotel was refurbished 20 years ago which shows in lack of charm and in 80's colours and style. But everything is well maintained.
restorant sauna is not icluded in the room price.the price - 15 Euro is too expensice!!!!
Pool, bar was good, food was good
It's clean and very nice environment and the hotel postion close to some shopping area At sunday there is nobody helping you to carry your bags
The pool was used until well after midnight which made sleeping difficult to impossible.
Parking small w/o surveillance
Competent, helpful staff, very good location, excellent restaurant.
The bar has a cozy set up, the restaurant offer a great food it's that just it's closed for 2 weeks set up is cozy but too much of mosquitoes under my table :-(, not much of English TV channels except for CNN only
La Di Moret has the best breakfast services I know The reconstruction of the zard.
Location close to the place specific for individual purpose of my travel. Internet connection in a room is optional.
The staff were very helpful and the wi-fi worked really well. The underground car park was very convenient.
cleanliness, everyday service (clean towel, etc), great variety of food at breakfast The traffic outside was little bit noisy, at night was uncomfortable. So bad acoustic tamping.
I find the hotel Cristallo for this price level very good. I was happy about parkong-garage.
The hotel is centrally located, about 5 minutes from the railway station and 15 minutes from the historical center. We stayed 3 nights and were very satisfied. We got a spatious, nice and quiet double room facing a small yard/garden. The staff was extremely helpful. The hotel offers a very good value for money and we can fully recommend it. The breakfast was really very simple and we would expect better coffee in Italy. But the positive values of the hotel overbalance.
Only few minutes walk from city center, train and bus stations. Breakfast was good and with enough choice. English speaking, friendly staff. Hotel looks a bit old fashioned in its '70s style. It's cheaper than other hotels in town but still quite expensive for its level
We enjoyed the restaurant, bacause it had a good and economic menu. It was possible for us to walk to the city center, because it was not very far, but there was buses all the time to everywhere. The room's design is modern and cozy. The AC of the room was very noisy. The breakfast wasn't included in the base price. Our room didn't have a king size bed, just two single beds together and the blankets weren't for the size of that, so they couldn't cover our entire bodies. When we put the "do not disturb" sign, it was not respected.
welcome package at our arrival with fruit and water, good and cheap restaurant, large room and bathroom, city centre reachable in 15 minutes by feet. the room lacked of frigobar and safe-box.
Also the resturant was very good.
good stuff, pleasant atmosphere, very close to the city centre
The pictures on the website are misleading for the older "classic" part of the hotel. Carpet not laid flat and a trip hazard; walls of room needed maintenance; lights inadequate; shower tiny; door to wardrobe wouldn't stay shut; door to bathroom difficult to close; toilet seat broken.
The style of the hotel is unique. I liked the breakfast and the staff was nice too. I am not sure about the rooms. Even though the rooms are very modern and with style, the bathroom has little privacy and i imagined it as a mini showroom - rather than a "private room". If you're a couple, perhaps this is not an issue, however if your'e 4 adults in a room, you might wish to reconsider it.
Room was spacious, food good. Hotel is situated near centar, with private parking. Everythihg was O.K.
large, comfortable rooms, friendly and efficient staff limited dining options in the immediate neighborhood of the hotel. It is advisable to walk to the city centre (max. 20 min) rather than eating at the Casa Rossa (not bad, but unexciting).
Comfortable and not pretentious, close to the city centre, staff were friendly and helpful further from the train station than expected, but still only 15 minutes walk. Breakfast could have been better
Good location and friendly staff. Parking space included!
The Staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable and fairly big. The shower went cold on me but was fine some time later. I you get a front facing room the traffic from the main road in the morning can be a little load.
location of hotel. staff were excellent and very helpful
Easy to park The wifi connection was not good, poor breakfast
Parking Facility Not in the Center but nearby the Center so, good reachability Trainstation nearby Room Cleaning and towelservice Available Internet and Costfree!!
Very friendly staff None
Very friendly staff, speaking English. Location is very near to the road, so it's a bit noisy. Basic breakfast but good quality.
It was easy to find with the car-just in the inner circle of Udine. parking place of the Hotel. Excellent front desk staff. Very close to the city center. Perhaps the Aircondition could be a little more efficient.
The hotel was clean. Breakfast was good. Advertised as "internet access." Not true. Had to buy internet card for 10 euro. Also, hotel was not in the center of Udine. The hotel was not within walking distance of town. Had to take taxi or bus. Expensive.
Good location - just where we wanted to be - 10 minutes from Terenzano Speedway Stadium. Nearly all sky channels were unavailable unless one paid. This is unusual as sky news etc are free in most countries.
friendly staff, inexpensive internet use, good breakfast, convenient to station a bit of a walk to the center of town
charming helpful staff, great breakfast, good airconditioning in room no
Very good staff. helpful and friendly. The beds were excellent and the breakfast good.
We received an email asking the time of our expected arrival. The hotel then had an excellent English speaking person greet us and check us in.
Staff and room, Anyone over 12 stone would struggle to have a shower
Friendly, family run hotel
Friendly staff, great location Overpriced
Location was excellent. room was very comfortable and the staff on reception were kind and friendly -and good at their work.Breakfast was lovely and again staff did all that was possible to accomodate my coeliac friend. shower a little small but not a problem.
The ladies at the reception were very helpful
Very pleasant staff, location of hotel suitable for me, satisfactory hotel for solo traveller
This was a very good hotel, situated ten minutes walk from the centre of Udine. Clean, efficient, comfortable, no frills. Bar and breakfast facilities were good and rooms were cool, and quiet (effective air conditioning).
The breakfast is only possible until 10 am. Although this is very acceptable, the possibility to eat a little later would have been appreciated.
the receptionist made food by him self even at 01AM.
Friendly and helful staff both online prior to visit and once we were there
It was said that it was close to the Station but it was not.
Staff friendly and spoke good english. The breakfast was good.
Convenient for transport and the town. Excellent reception and breakfast staff Rather expensive for a 3*. Need an English speaking news channel on televsion ie CNN or BBC news 24.
I liked the overall air of the hotel, it is very cozy and I also enjoyed the value/price and poximity to the historical center the breakfast menu was very narrow, I would welcome fresh fruit or vegetables
The staff was quite helpful and most spoke English. The room was a good size by European standards. Breakfast was good.
our room was wonderful, spacious. The other guests were interesting; the owner - Mauro - was gracious, helpful. it also was very convenient to everything in this small town. A bargain. No.
Central location in the no-cars section of this small town. The manager/owner Mauro could not have been more helpful. Included breakfast was fine. This is basically a bed and breakfast on the second floor on a no-car street, so unloading baggage is a problem. Parking your car is somewhat near this pensione, but not easy to find.
