Walking distance to beach 5 minutes, walking to lots of great eateries. Pat and Gilly very hospitable.short visit, tried to do everything, beaches, snorkelling,
The location was fine and corresponded to the description.
The proprietor was unwelcoming, no breakfast or evening meals were offered. No tea and coffee in the room. Room and shower were cramped and grubby. Step from shower was unsafe.
I've stated the question re the property's restaurant was Not Applicable. This is only partially true - breakfast and evening meals are served as requested, typically in the garden or on the terrace. We were self-catering in the property's attached garden apartment, so only had dinner on the terrace on three occasions. That said, the standard of the food was very good, at very reasonable prices by local standards. It was also a pleasant, sociable environment in which to dine. Gillie (spelling ?) did all the cooking whilst we were there, to a very high standard. The property is about 10 minutes' walk uphill from the main road but its a pleasant walk, passing itinerant sheep, chickens and the occasional monkey along the way. At the bottom of the road is a good beach for swimming - even better if you walk a further 10 minutes along to the right. The property owner - Pat - was very welcoming and made us at home. She has plenty of good advice for places to visit, eat, etc and arranged pickups for us, both from the airport then onto our destination for the second week of our stay on Barbados.
Nothing really. The bed in the apartment sagged a bit. Also, if you happen to be in the garden apartment, be aware that the bathroom window opens onto the breakfast terrace in the garden. There is a curtain, though, and you can always close the window !
Nice gardens good area Gilly always willing to help
Decor dated in need of updating food good but couldn't justify paying the equivalent of 16 pounds each for full breakfast more than a couple of times
Very welcoming and friendly
could have lked a kettle and cups in my room & needed a car to get about, not keen on walking back after dark
