Monterey Hotels

Location was nice and secluded. Our room was not too close to freeway and overlooking the beautiful pool. Enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace during our stay. Visited the sports bar where the food and service was great.

I don't like paying resort fees. Could hear occupants next to us until midnight.

Staff was very nice.

Room did not have a bath tub. I felt price of stay was overpriced for the room we received. I did not like how I found out there was a resort fee upon checking in.

The location is perfect to shopping and restaurants within walking distance.

No public parking was available, only valet.

The location was as good as it gets if you are wanting to spend a few days on cannery row. There are tons of things to do that are within walking distance and the aquarium is literally a few steps away.

I was annoyed with the constant tipping each time I picked up my car from valet. I also was disappointed that I was told when I arrived and checked in that my room was 'almost ready' and four hours later it was finally available.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, including the reservations desk, the concierge's desk, and the maintenance and housekeeping staff.

The only negative (and a small one at that) is that the windows are fashioned with mini-shutters, which do not give you a complete sense of privacy when they are closed.

Very clean and nice facilities.

The lobby seemed to be understaffed with the receptionist having to juggle a lot of phone calls while talking to us.

The room was clean and felt quite spacious. The best thing was the location- walkable to downtown Monterey even with small children in tow. The room had a DVD player already, plus they provided me a crib and coffee maker at no additional charge.

The only slight negative was that the wifi was not strong enough to run Netflix on my AppleTV, but the office had DVDs they lent out for free, so it solved that problem. The breakfast was mediocre, but at this price point, you can't expect gourmet.

The water temperature changed from hot and cold throughout our showers. The location too far to walk to cannery row.

For a 4 -5 star hotel, I find it shameful that the people (women mainly) are wearing uniforms that are of poor quality. The woman's blazer was torn at the pocket and the lapel was not pressed properly. Not a good first impression.

The hotel is very cute and the room was gorgeous. The location was great and within walking distance to the aquarium and Cannery.

When I arrived at the room to even had a Christmas card and Christmas cookies waiting for me and since I was having a second guessed and I asked for my Christmas cookies and they were out of them they gave me a couple little boxes of chocolates wrapped. T

There was one girl that wasn't really trained very well at the front desk that was rather annoying because everyone else was very accommodating but she didn't say we could have breakfast Christmas morning because we were a little late

The location was ideal for a nice weekend stay in Monterey! The hotel was walking distance to fishermans wharf and very short drive time to cannery row for day time activities. Also walking distance to the nightlife that is downtown monterey.

The hotel needs more parking for the guests staying there. Space is limited, so I understand to a certain extent.

Room was not ready and front desk person did not even apologize just wanted my phone number to call when ready. It was already 4 pm when we got there and check in time was 3.

I loved the staff, and the manager Justin Kenny took care of us when Priceline didn't. Our check in date date was wrong and when I called Priceline customer service ? I was pretty much shut down.

Hotel was beautiful and I will be returning in march with my wife. But not through Priceline.com
