Pros:Jimmy is a great host. He brings back the much more familiar and personal touch that can now rarely be seen in all but the past or today's luxurious hotels of the world. There is, however not much luxury to be expected at his hotel, it is modest, but comfortable. The location of Zacharo rooms is what is key about it. Seen as either a blessing in the familiar solitude it provides, or as a challenge in it's remote location that makes us have to polish our Greek and learn to rely on the locals. The landscape is stunning, the crowds are gone, Therassia is the 'anti-tourist' destination of Santorini.
Cons:The island can be difficult to get to, although with careful planning this should not be a problem.
