Location wise it’s very central to Tokyo metro and JR lines, no more than half an hour to most major tourist sites. Also close to convenience stores, malls and everything Japanese that a tourist would want to see. In the property, staff are kind and spoke more English than I speak Japanese, thank you so much. It was really clean and generally the hospitality was up there with good hotel standards.
I myself don’t usually mind about the comfort of a bed but I feel the mattress could do with a little more cushion however still rested well.
The lobby was fantastic. You can even cook in their kitchen, play the guitar in the lobby and store food in the fridge. The best lobby in Japan for me so far. There are friendly staffs too.
The bed space was not too spacious. The ladder going to the upper bed is also too long. It exceeds the needed length to get on the upper bed. It makes it a little difficult to get on the bed as it blocks the way.
I went to Japan to come to Fuji Rock Festival. the location of the hostel is close to the Ueno Station where I depart using the Shinkansen to go to Naeba. the hostel is very clean, towels are provided every day. when leaving the suitcase at bagage storage is also very safe. across the road there's seven-eleven so it's very easy to find food or other needs. you can rent a bicycle to go around the city.
Well situated in Akihabara, with subway and train within walking distance (Ginza line, Hibiya line, JR lines...), staff is always there (I arrived at 7am and there was someone to take my luggage).
Would be better if there was something to put your stuff in the shower cabins (there's only a basket in one of the showers) so you don't have to leave your clothes and all on the floor.
No elevator. No hook for hanging clothes in the bathroom, need to leave stuff on floor.
With a stay at Hiromas Hostel in Akihabara in Tokyo (Chiyoda), you'll be a 5-minute walk from Ameya-Yokochō and 7 minutes by foot from Ueno Park. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
