The hotel staff is fantastic, great, the best and the hotel is wonderful in all respects
We really liked the localization and the confort . Everything was perfect.
Location close to city wall
Being inside the walled city. Wish the hotel had washclothes instead of sponges.
In the midst of it all
Fantastic location in the heart of a beautiful town with a very professional and welcoming front desk. Room was clean, decent sized and wonderful to have breakfast in the morning Church bells ringing woke us up and no air conditioning however can understand the difficulties in such a historical building
Modern facilities Limited dining in Nordlingen (not the hotel's fault)
We requested a non-smoking room but were given a smoking room which was very smoky.
The hotel was a little bit disapointing, the room was not clean.
Expensive breakfast that was not included in hotel price was not markedly better than many other hotels where breakfast was included.
very nice sized room and bathroom. helpful staff
restaurant is too small for number of rooms and guests, lack of place and staff there, failed to get both dinner and breakfast
Really enjoyed staying a historical building. It is amazing such an old one is still alive "in service". Only if there would be a lift, however, we understand why there wasn's.
Simply fantastic Old Hotel :) We will come back there for sure!
the hotel is beautiful and is very centrally located, making it a wonderful place to stay for a visit to Dinkelsbuhl the staff was not very friendly
Excellent location, beautiful, noteworthy historic building with updated rooms, gracious dining room where an ample breakfast is served. Guests should know that parking is off-site and at an extra cost.
The room was much bigger than we expected - more like a suite with an entry hall, full size shower room and a sitting area with couch. The hotel is quite quaintly decorated which we found to be a unique touch. You really get a feel for the history of the hotel from staying there. Location was great being on the main square of the town. There is a daily night-watchman tour that departs from just across the road and during the day, there is a horse and carriage tour that departs from the building next door. As there is limited parking in the town, we reserved a car park and the staff kindly offered to park the car in the garage themselves and retrieve it the next day for us. For light sleepers, be aware that the main church is directly opposite the hotel and the church bells can be quite loud and go on for some time. This did not bother us as the location and views of the town more than made up for this.
The location was good and the rooms very spacious. There was no one to help with our bags so we had to carry them ourselves two flights of steps. It was 92 degrees outside and our room temperature was 105 degrees with no air or ventilation. By far the worst night on the whole trip. We had paid for valet parking and found our car on the street parked illegally and unlocked late at night.
Located in the town, close to restaurants & shops. Friendly helpful staff. Plenty of space in the apartment to relax. Very quiet - couldn't hear other guests. It's a minor point, but cushions on the leather sofa would be nice to make it more comfortable.
Very modern and trendy, but still in an historic setting. It's a thing, but we dislike German hotel beds (too hard) and pillows (too soft and flat) but this was common to all German hotels.
Quality and comfort of the hotel. Excellent breakfirst. Coffee machine is great. Very quiet No restaurant available during my 3 days stay.
I had a short but pleasant stay at the hotel.
Comfort of the room and quality of the breakfirst
very modern rooms, very practical and well set out. limited dinner menu.
helpful staff, spacious and comfortable room, nice breakfast, good location in town
the best hotel we have stayed in for many years
we enjoyed it very much. Everything was just superb! Exellent value for the money. we will recommend it wormly. Sophie & Ygal. Israel --
This was our second visit to this hotel and everything was just perfect.Very friendly staff who are also very welcoming to children, excellent breakfast, very stylish & clean & well equipped, comfortable beds.Good value for money and definitely worth a visit! Nothing.
Felt more like staying in a unit than a hotel. Big room with modern appliances. Breakfast was excellent with a lot to choose from and the staff were only to happy to help.
Personal attention of owner to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Excellent selection at breakfast including several homemade delights.
Owners were very hospitable. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. No
The room was large, comfortable, bright, and clean. The owner was very friendly and cheerful. The breakfast was excellent. It was an excellent value for the money.
Cleanest room we ever stayed in.
It was like at home. none
The staff cold not have been more welcoming, helpful, or friendly. Our room was very large, bright and modern. Excellent breakfast and useful suggestions for dinner. Free internet and plenty of parking.
This hotel is ideally situated in the heart of this historic smaller town allowing a traveller to park the car and wander through the shops, experience a great meal and explore the past - in which the hotel is a good start. The open sherry flask is not a good idea - providing a 'nightcap' was a thoughtful touch but I only drink something that I open myself or in a restaurant.
The rooms are more than OK. Excelent restaurant. Top quality.People where very friendly. Wireless work very well.
I liked the 400 year old buildings, the excellent location in this town, the rooms that were tastefully furnished and the hospitality of the staff. No, everything was fine.
The staff was responsive and nice, the spa/pool area is beautiful and the food was superb! The only thing I did not like was the 20 Euro fee to put a crib into the room.
Nice place, superb dinner, Not really helpful in assistance and help, when I asked to print some pages from a travel guide, which the Hotel is even associated with.
Pool & spa were excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly Located on a busy town street so a little noisy. Our bedroom was a little small
Staff was delightful and friendly, spoke English, and the restaurant was divine. We would have eaten there twice save that they were closed on Sundays and Mondays when we were there. Their suggestions however were great for restaurants close by. Rooms were pristine, bath extremely comfortable, beds good. We were in room 26 which appeared charming and spacious (which it was) but a busy road ran between the buildings (which wasn't obvious at first) and was very noisy (like train running through noisy). Also, because the room was stuffy, we needed the windows open which made it worse. I would have liked to have been informed about this and given a choice. The room itself was beautiful and roomy and very comfortable.
Excellent reception at the desk and convenient to all interesting sights. Easy street parking for 2 euros every 24 hours, and good breakfast in dining room.
friendliness of everyone - very clean - excellent food -
The location of the hotel and its great tasting food are excellent. Nice place to stay and enjoy the area. Staff seemed a bit rushed and uncaring.
We arrived in Dinkelsbuhl on a rainy evening early in the week. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment. Our kids loved having a room overlooking the street. Dinner was outstanding...possibly the best meal ever, for sure our best meal while traveling around Germany. Loved it! There was no coffee for the in-room coffee maker, but that was not really a big deal because they brew a pot of fresh coffee for you at breakfast upon request.
My wife and I went to Germany for our honeymoon. We stayed in Dinkelsbuhl for the last few nights of our trip. It was nothing less than fantastic! The owners were more than accomodating. The breakfasts were great, the decor was very unique and the art studio displayed many of the owner's pieces. We even bought a few I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend anyone else to do the same!
very nice artist host, great location
friendly family run hotel in pretty little and fairly unspoilt town. No evening meal but owner is pleased to recommend restaurants.
Helpful owners, location of the hotel, free parking Cannot be helped for the old and somewhat historical building such as this, but there is no lift so putting up and down heavy suitcases is troublesome.
everything was just pleasant and relaxed
We enjoyed our suite, it was spacious with beautiful paintings and antique cabinets. We had good contact with the owners of the hotel, and fond memories of our two days stay. A word of advice, if available, book the suite, it is well worth the extra few dollars. Not the hotel, but the italian restaurant next door was poor, salty soup, pasty pizza, poor service. There are better places in town to eat.
The artist owners created something extraordinary to this very old building. We will certainly return to this lovely hotel (and the city) again some day.
Amazing room decor!
Very friendly owners. Good combination of art & hotel business. Good location. Clean rooms. We would come back.
The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The room was tastefully decorated and very clean. The bathroom was modern and larger than many in other hotels where we stayed. The location is quiet, but it is also convenient for day trips to other sites of interest in the area.
Very clean and comfortable, the free wi-fi in the reception area worked well. The breakfast included a great selection, but..... The woman preparing the breakfast had a cold and was coughing and sneezing on everything. Yuck! Laundry facilities would have been nice,
Good price and friendly helpful staff. Didn't realize when we booked that it is a hotel aimed at young people and families. We were possibly their oldest guests but that didn't affect our stay.
Spacious, clean and comfortable room, large bathroom, separate toilet, very good breakfast. Situated at the edge of the medieaval town walls. No soap or shower gel. Reception closed (area locked) after 11pm. Unusable (very weak) wireless internet access in the room; available only in the reception area. Limited parking facilities.
Nice hotel close to the the town. Hotel staf is very friendly.
good accommodation just next to the town. the room was excellent and it was good value for the price. Breakfast was good if you picked the right time as it is a bit "youth hostelish" .but don't be distracted by that. an excellent place to stay if you have kids with you.
Proximity to the centre, seperate room for large parties staying at the hotel to eat No evening meal option
Childrens play areas (inside & outside). Great breakfasts
This hotel was different to what we had expected but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Very much a family hotel with a holiday camp with many children attending while we were there but they were well behaved and didn't disturb us at all. Loved walking "the wall" (many times), close to the bus station and the weather was great. Breakfast was fun and plentiful.
Very comfortable, spacious room. Amazing that you get a discount when you have children! The breakfast buffet could have been better. In every way.
The room was very clean. The free parking was a plus. The hotel was hard for us to find, we missed it several times. It sounds like a small thing but the pillows were terrible. Bring your own pillows if you plan on staying here! My neck hurt for days after our stay. There was also a lot of noise. There were a good number of teenagers staying there and they were up late/running around.
The Hotel is traditional in character with modern standards , good local food with English menus available and friendly staff
The hotel staff were great, the services were top quality, the amenities were clean and convinient. Booked my next stay already because I was impressed. No.
The hotel staff was very friendly and customer oriented. The food in the restaurant was excellent.
Internet "out of service", unfriendly hotel staff
location good, in the rural area with big rooms; very quiet and on the country side. no, everything was perfect.
Very good matrass. Big room. Nice people. The kitchen smell was noticable in the upper region of the hotel,so the kitchen need a new venting system imho.
The family room was big enough for four of us, and bath room has a large and deep bath tub. Also, the dinner was very delicious and the price was reasonable as wel. Everything was perfect, and we want to stay there again.
The rooms were niced size as were the bathrooms. Free parking and even tho there was no lift, you could drive around back and bring luggage in on 2nd floor from the parking area. breakfast was good, although the woman tending to it didn't seem too friendly toward us. It is located on a side street so there is no view other than the other buildings across the street. It is in a small town so everything is close. tho, Wi fi is 8 euro for 60 minutes. Seemed like lots of "stuff" around
The staff were extremely polite and helpfull. Room was lovely and clean. Didn't want to leave
Central location in old town. Garage for motorcycle. Tiny shower, room not as requested.
Really nice hotel full of character with friendly staff. Good garage for safe cycle storage. Great breakfast (again!) Everything was good.
The location of the hotel is excellent for walking around Dinkelsbuhl old town. The hotel and rooms were very quaint and the restaurant was excellent. The breakfast provided was also excellent.
Right in the heart of Dinkelsbuml which is a walled-in mid-evil small city - all cobblestone roads, colorful buildings, real neat place to visit.
very lovely room at the heart of the town
Nice hotel. Excellent location. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Excellent value for the money.
Rooms were large and comfortable. Lots of knick knacks around so it seemed like we were staying in someones house. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Free parking a plus. Wi fil charge excessive...8 euro for 60 minutes. Heat was turned off at night but luckily it wasn't freezing yet outside.
