10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, clean new rooms, overall such a great affordable hotel
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Two queen room had plenty of space for our family of four. Beds were on the better side, pool was good. The breakfast was very good-best we've seen for a complimentary breakfast.
7.7 Good
Cons: There were large outside lights that projected significant light into the room during the night, and there were numerous ambient lights in the room that could not be turned off. This made it extremely difficult to sleep well even when the outside lights were supposedly blocked by the window blinds. Suggest to other guests and/or supply eye shades.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: I don’t expect to give 5 stars to this level of hotel really but, the chaise was very very comfy. The bed was just short of perfect. Everything was very clean and either brand new or very lovingly maintained. The breakfast was much better than I would have expected. The free water and wine tasting were a very nice touch, as were the selections of food and drink in the market. I could tell that this location was actively looking to do everything they could to be of total service and to attend to their customers every need. That is five star service. And all in a very good location and at a great price! Did I mention the check in/our staff was helpful friendly and attentive? I’ve stayed at many Hampton Inns and many of their competitors and I haven’t seen better anywhere in the US.
Cons: Nothing. You guys did a really really good job.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, professional staff, comfortable rooms, tasty breakfast, convenient to Solstice Pizza at the Port.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Great accessibility in a special room for the Deaf travelers

8.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing heated pool but wish the outdoor spa had been open. Nice gym and indoor spa! Liked the shower and towels.
Cons: Executive room should be bigger for the price. Right by the highway trucks sometimes woke me up. Bed was also a little to hard.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was great but a little expensive.
Cons: Food and service wasn't great and overpriced. $14 for 3, 1.5" meatballs.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location plus beautiful river view. Staff was very warm and friendly and room was large.
Cons: Air conditioning didn't work great. Food was mediocre.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed here many times, and finally splurged on a king suite with a fireplace overlooking the river. It had a little balcony and two-stories of glass to let in the sun. The food was excellent. The service above average for a resort area.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, great staff.
Cons: Too many dogs. I feel like the facility wasn't as clean because of this. Room was nice, but not the "executive" room it was referred as.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There was such a good variety of breakfast items to choose from and the view from the restaurant is incredible. Front desk staff was very helpful and always makes you feel welcomed. This hotel and view is the best in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: When we checked in they upgraded our room to a view, loved being right on the river. Also having a voucher for a sit down breakfast was a plus!!
Cons: We had already paid online, but they charged my card anyway. They took care of it right away and were very nice about it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: The shower head in room 102

Columbia Gorge Hotel & Spa - Hood River - Building

8.9 Excellent (345 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When looking at a place to stay where you can get away from it all and enjoy yourself in the peace of nature, there are few places that can do the job better than the Pacific Northwest. Between the Cascade Mountain Range and the beautiful gorges and canyons, there is much to see and do in this area where you can get away from the every day stresses. The starting point on a great vacation is booking a room at the Columbia Gorge Hotel and Spa. The Columbia Gorge Hotel and Spa is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Pacific Northwest – the Columbia Gorge. With views of nature that seem out of this world just outside your window, you will immediately feel relaxed. Take it a step further though – head into the spa and enjoy the vast array of spa services. After a day in the spa, you’ll feel centered again and ready to take on the world. When you’re not hiking or enjoying the spa services, you can enjoy great meals. The Pacific Northwest has a thriving culinary scene. Simon’s Cliffhouse and the Valentino Bar are in-house options offering exquisite dishes of gourmet standards. However, if you are looking for something a little more casual, there are plenty of dining options that are just a short drive from the hotel. When you want to get away from it all, few places can check all the boxes as luxuriously as the Columbia Gorge Hotel and Spa.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds and building were beautiful. I especially loved the feel of all of the history and quaintness of a nearly 100 year old hotel. It was quiet, restful and beautifully furnished. I stayed in a corner room with windows on both sides where I could catch a glimpse of the waterfalls and see the river. I felt pampered and really wished that I could have stayed longer. The staff was wonderful and helpful. I stay in the Portland and Hood River areas often and this is one of my favorite places to go. It’s a yearly treat for me.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Service in the bar......
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the small town of hood river. Staff was super friendly and the spa was to die for! We got 90 minute massages! Best ever!
Cons: Happy hour wasn't really happy. $12 for fish tacos doesn't really seem like a deal. The only drinks for happy hour pricing was wine and not a great selection at that. We had breakfast there twice. The first time was delicious, but the eggs Benedict was less than great. We give it a 6. Eggs were under cooked, the sauce lacked flavor. We filled out our ticket for breakfast to be served to our room but it was never picked up so we had to call. They were pretty prompt though when delivering it.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location on a bluff overlooking Columbia River is fantastic. The patio extends onto the natural rock outcroppings and a 200 foot waterfall is along side. The breeze never let up and you felt like you were on top of the world. The beautiful grounds and gardens were also an added treat.
Cons: Secluded from town by a couple of miles but we didn't see that as a negative at all although some may.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great food at the restraunt, clean rooms and beautiful setting.

Overview Reviews
When you a stay at Hood River Hotel in Hood River, you'll be near the beach, just steps from Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area and Mount Hood Railroad. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: If Hood River was a hot spot for the 1920's jetsetters, the Hood River Hotel was their place. The hotel does a good job of evoking that. Love the attached Scandinavian café. But really this hotel is about décor and location.
Cons: I would rate their price about 15-20% too high. But then again, Hood River has become the next big thing in Oregon, so their rates are taking advantage of that, and are still cheaper than most Portland spots.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beekman soaps were a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable. WiFi worked well each time I used it.
Cons: No A/C in my room, though a fan was provided. No plugins near the window for the fan.
6.2 Good
Pros: It is an old historic hotel
Cons: Small room with too much light let in through transom window.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean Nice hot breakfast with lots of options Recently renovated
Cons: We paid for a queen suite room and it looked the same as a standard queen room (we had that room last year). A "suite" should be more than just a regular room with a couch in it.

Pros: Availability, indoor pool, nice, clean room. The included breakfast, although maybe they could up the quality just a hair, but it was solid for being complimentary. Staff was nice and helpful.

Pros: The location was central
Cons: The staff locked us out of our room because our children, who were staying at the Hood River Hotel, came to visit in the evening.
