Pros: The personnel was friendly and helpful and the food was very good. The view from the restaurant and from the room was very nice.
Cons: The rooms were small and the standard pretty low. You have to bring the room key with you due to the reception open hours.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location Close to beach Pool Terrace facing the sea Excellent restaurant Cool dogs
Cons: Our Terrace was shared with restaurant guests because it was on the ground floor but still it was somewhat separated and had nice views

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant was good - food and service very good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The bedrooms need some work to bring up to a better standard.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Parking, my car was damaged because of the parking place.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice room service, room has nice furniture and other little details and i apreciate climatization. On the room was safe, warm kettle and little fridge which is not marked here on
Cons: Doors to bathroom could not close properly. Privacy could be better between bathroom and living room. Nearest shop is about 4km far. Not to much space in room for three people. I think two is max.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and comfortable appartement with amazing view! Friendly stuff. Good location, but not near the sea. Clean and with all necessary equipment.
Cons: Thin walls - we could heard neighborhood
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Our room had sea view which was great and the stuff was very kind and helpful. It is a great place for families.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We got an apartment with the sea view and it was a beautiful view. The balcony was large and very comfortable. The apartment was spacious. The staff was extremely nice and we watched a great evening show at the theater which was inclusive of the price. They offer great activities every day.
Cons: There were no small pillows by the very hard sofa and the sofa was so small. The seating in the living area could have been improved for comfort. The is an early expected check-out time and a late check-in time.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: No air conditioning so it was so hot that it was impossible to sleep, no mosquito net so impossible to open the windows at night without being eaten by mosquitos. We asked for a fan and they gave us 1 for 2 rooms
7.5 Good
Pros: Very good location, very nice beach quite close to the appartments, also nice hills (Massif de l'Esterel) very close to the appartments. Very good reception service, spoke English and were really nice.
Cons: Quite old appartment furnishing and fittings, one of the rooms a bit smelly, our children finally moved to the other room. Short opening hours at the pool, strange strict rules for entering the pool - my husband with shorts type of swimming suite was not allowed to enter the area of the pool.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Manage to leave ...
Cons: They promise clean up services, for extra fee, but it is not avaible. They collect 50 Eur from everyone as a deposit, but in the end they keep the money, because - they say- it would go back to the guest Just in case of they would clean up the room before leaving. Disguasting and dirty place. Only french is spoken there, só animation for english speaking children is impossible. If you wear Bermuda swimming dress, you mustn't use the swimming pool (strange rule, isn'it?) . Playground is closed all the time.
5.0 Okay
Pros: the town Agay and St. Raphael are close to the accomodation. Resort is great for family with kids. Apartments had sea view although far from sea. Resort has beach club which is 1 KM away with private beach but It was accessbile for every one (not really private). Nice place for Kids.
Cons: The rooms are not very well equipped. There was no AC and Fan in the apartment and it was unbearably hot. There was no washing machine or dish washer in the apartment. We had to clean apartment during check out including removal of bed sheets.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to the seaside, away from traffic and in a picturesque surroundings. There are places to eat close by.
Cons: It is not really a hotel, you will have to clean the house on departure or pay 50€ cleaning fee. Restaurant is not open the whole day and you have to reserve in advance (typical in France).
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful, facilities grab although the pool wasnt open when we stayed - weather was good enough and it looked very inviting!
Cons: No ironing board or iron in the room. Shop sold large packages of washing liquid, etc, rather than more reasonable travel size ones for few days use. The walls were very thin which meant there was a lot of disturbance early mornings or nights. This affected the kids bedroom more as it was a connecting door. There was also an awful smell every morning from the boiler. The WC was an individual room with no wash basin! The bathroom was separate with sink, shower. A small sink could have been fitted - it was so inconvenient. Found overall in France the loo facilities shocking - no soap, no toilet paper and no water for hand washing!! Gross!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was nice stay. There is a nice playground in the village and a pool (also with a part for kids - 70cm).
Cons: It is located on the hill and you need to walk couple of minutes to the beach.

8.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Facilities - especially for families - are excellent. Wee train takes you down to le Dramont beach and station, and to Agay (except in August!). Restaurants on site were all more than acceptable.
Cons: Not especially easy to reach without a car.... Taxi to StRaphael station was €30...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean comfortable quiet room
Cons: For 1 night - nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: The view.
Cons: It was full of young children. I did not realise it was a family holiday destination.
7.1 Good
Pros: It’s a very nice resort with tons of activities great for families with kids. The staff are great. Everyone takes part in the shows and concerts! they are very talented and the kids loved it all! Make sure you don’t miss the night performances and shows. The hotel is part of a time-sharing bunch of apartments with larger rooms and little kitchenettes but no air conditioning so I am glad we chose the hotel. We had friends in a nearby apartment (not part of hotel de l’Esterel but same resort they had no A/C). Also the hotel (unlike the apartments) is very well located in the middle of the resort near pools, restaurants, and shops, and this was a big plus! The pools are very nice although a bit overcrowded but it’s a huge resort so that’s understandable. There is a pool with waves, jacuzzis, and best of all for kids there is a nice water slide! Moreover there is another pool much less crowded next to the spa. Pool beds or deck chairs (transat) are not all free! Some are free next to the waves pool but good luck getting them. hotel rooms are not cheap so one would expect free deck chairs for hotel guests at least.
Cons: The rooms are not cleaned very well and they don’t replenish amenities unless you ask for it. No complementary water bottles and no tissues next to the beds. On the second night I left a tip for the cleaning staff so they took care of us but then a few days later we had to leave a tip again next to a written message asking for a small effort in cleaning and for shower gel, a trash bag, toilet paper, etc. The great thing is that there is a supermarket nearby so you can buy things but I mean for the price we paid for the room you’d expect more... Another thing is the hotel owns two restaurants (no free breakfast by the way) the one inside the hotel is a bit overpriced I thought and maybe they could at least give discounts to hotel guests? I mean €7 for a coffee and a croissant? The other restaurant « le grand bleu » next to the spa and zen pool we never got to try. One time they told us they ran out of food.. and another time it was closed! On a Sunday! At lunchtime! In the middle of August. Huh? The good thing is that there are other « private » restaurants nearby in the resort: The CocoLoco (Mexican food) was not bad. But come on guys, open the restaurants or plan to have more food during your peak summer season! Make more money this way instead of charging guests for pool chairs :)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff, room comfort and cleanliness, location.
Cons: Really needs a lift to the pools
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Sometimes noisy because of parties on the main square
4.2 Okay
Pros: The location was nice in the bay with the view of the sea, the two pools, although cold, were clean.
Cons: We booked this as we have been to Center Parcs in the UK many times, and expected a similar experience. Cap Esterel must have been quite nice when it first opened. We paid over £1000 for 4 nights in a double room with an extra bed for a child, not including breakfast (which was an additional 34 Euros). In advance, I requested a quiet room away from noise, and advised I'm gluten free vegetarian. On arrival we were shown the strangest hotel room ever: a funny little space with a tiny wooden staircaise to a double bed where we could hardly stand up, an old bathroom and a separate toilet, and a single bed down the stairs next to the hotel fridge area. I refused to take this room, noting that it was nothing like the rooms advertised on We were given two double interjoined rooms reluctantly (I had to insist as it was 9pm at night) however these were directly facing the main 'Square' (ie. the area where you can hear the noise from the pools, 4 main restaurants, live music, theatre and nightclub.) In the rooms there are kettles, yet unlike Center Parcs in the UK where you have kitchens etc this hotel did not even provide real mugs or cups to drink from, just tiny paper cups. For over £250 per night. It was so loud and noisy at night we couldn't sleep until at least 11pm (and the disco music finishes at 1am on Thursday and Friday: be warned.) With children this seems such a weird place. They seemed to want everyone to party all night and sleep all day. Breakfast on the first day had flies all over the food, a few pieces of old cheese, some unfresh bread (amazing in France) and for me as a gluten free vegan: a rice cake. It was such a bad breakfast we ate granola in our room from the paper cups for the other mornings, In fact, in the end this place was such a disappointment we changed our flights and flew home early. I explained all this to the manager and she did not offer a refund and really did not care less. An expensive shock of a holiday.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Pool was fantastic, especially for kids. Entertainment was good. It was very clean, and I’m fussy. Location of site was lovely and location of apartment had good view. Train was nice around site. Short drive to Cannes and Monaco.
Cons: It would of been helpful to have cooking facilities of some kind in apartment as was incredibly expensive even for drinks. Only a tiny mini fridge was available. A larger option would of been good especially with children. Some staff in the restaurant area weren’t friendly. Didn’t expect to pay for the facilities on site like mini golf and the course was a bit run down.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous view high on the cliff above the Mediterranean. Also, the restaurants for dinner and breakfast were great. The room was fine.
Cons: The hotel is situated within a large vacation complex that includes restaurants, two pools, and entertainment. We hadn't expected that and so were not prepared for the loud music from the band in the evening and the general vacation-destination atmosphere. But for those who like all-inclusive vacations in beautiful locations, the Esterel is great. Staff were friendly and the location is superb. The food in the restaurants was great and it was nice to have shops easily accessible.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast in the hotel itsel (11,- euro p.p.) had a lot of choices. For a cheaper and simpler breakfast there were enough choices to go to on the site itself, the same for lunch and dinner. Room was great with an amazing view and a nice balcony. Bathroom was clean. Pools were clean. Staff were friendly. Matrasses were comfortable. Area was nice and quiet (low season).
Cons: Double bed had the tendency to slide out so there would be a big gap between the two beds. Not so comfortable to sleep if you like to use the whole bed.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely and had a pretty view of the med.
Cons: Bit of an ant issue. But didn't affect the stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is good value in pleasant surroundings; much better than going out to find one somewhere else locally. The location is very close to the sandy beach, which has an excellent though busy restaurant. The accommodation was very simple but good value for the area.
Cons: Located between Agay and Saint Raphael, there are limited places to eat and no real choice of beach within easy walking distance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is large enough for two persons, with a wonderful view on the garden. Room and the garden is clean, the owner and the staff is very kind. Breakfast is served in the room or behind the hotel in a shiny small place. The closest beach is about 100m... what else? :)
Cons: -
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel de la Plage is located on the Riviera, right by the beach. Next to it is a campground and a beach. The place is suitable for stays of one night as well as for longer stays, as it is easy to make excursions frome there to the rest of the Riviera. The staff is nice and the place good and clean in every way. Breakfast was served outside, which was a nice solution on a warm August morning. Suitable for singles, couples and families.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All good
Cons: No Smoking
6.3 Good
Pros: Neon sign outside - fabulous!
Cons: Not very close to the beach!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were super: very welcoming and friendly and helpful. Location is perfect. Breakfast and the intimate little terrace is fantastic. Little pool ideal. Great Air conditioning that ACTUALLY works and responds!!!
Cons: Wall support for the showerhead missing so showering one handed. Car parking and access very tight and tricky.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The gentleman at the desk was very welcoming , the room was great with a nice little balcony over the pool at the back so it was very quiet from the traffic. We loved the position as we were meeting friends very close by.
