Overview

Off the coast of Astoria sits the Cannery Pier Hotel and its luxurious accommodations and views of the Columbia River. Once the site of the Union Fisherman’s Cooperative Packing Company, the 100-year-old pilings of the pier now support the lavished getaway. From the late 1800s to the 1940s, Astoria’s largest cannery occupied where the hotel stands today.

The Cannery Pier Hotel features three separate guests rooms, including the pet-friendly Deluxe Room, One-Bedroom Suites, and the private Pilot House. All room types come standard with a gas fireplace, personal wet bar, mini-fridge, microwave, and complimentary high-speed internet.

The Deluxe Room is a cozy space with a clawfoot tub while the One-Bedroom Suite features an additional private bedroom and living area plus a wrap-around balcony and jetted tub with river views. The Pilot House is a private oasis on the fifth floor of the hotel with an additional guest bedroom, full kitchen, and all of the amenities of the One-Bedroom.

When not enamored by the river views, guests can explore historic Astoria and the local culture that unravels through events and attractions. Within a mile of the hotel, visitors can take the Astoria Riverfront Trolley, visit the Astor Street Opry Company, and visit the Oregon Film Museum and Flavel House Museum. Local dining is only steps away at the 19th-century building housing the Bridgewater Bistro, the nearby El Tapatio Astoria, and the Pig ‘n Pancake.

A small wedding by the river is possible with the Union Fish Meeting Room, which seats 70 people, and seated banquet facilities for up to 60 people. Corporate meeting space is available in the Chinook Boardroom.

Astoria’s Cannery Pier Hotel is a unique space with direct access to the coastal town’s history, views of the Columbia River, and quaint accommodations.
