Each room has binoculars to watch the ships from your balcony. Free wine and hors d'oeuvres at cocktail time - very nice. Free breakfast is more than decent. Free parking. Staff is very nice and helpful. Menus from Astoria restaurants available from front desk. More things to do in Astoria than we thought - Astoria Column, Lewis and Clark campsite and short drive to Oregon coast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room, the view, the setting
Cons: Could not believe that in this well designed, well cared for space that You did not have decent pillows. Mine smelled dirty and sour and was without any support.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Locations is great- central of downtown and walkable to all restaurants and sights of Astoria. The room and bathroom are fine. Bed is comfortable. The windows open to the street to let a breeze in. Receptionist is helpful and friendly.
Cons: We booked a room with a en-suite bathroom. Most rooms at this hotel have to share bathrooms. There is NO parking for this hotel. You need to find street parking. We arrives in late afternoon on Sat and it was not an issue. Street parking has a 2hr limit except after 6pm and on Sundays.
7.1 Good
Pros: location, friendly staff, clean, dog friendly, price
Cons: noisy outside with window open - noisy with delivery trucks all night, too warm to have window closed. Needed a fan and it would be better. Advertised shared kitchen but didn't have that. Didn't have fridge (except a small one behind the front desk and only open at 8am) or place to put ice packs (freezer).
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was very clean and had almost everything that we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The location was good in terms of being close to dining options. We watched the brewery assembly line for entertainment!
Cons: It was not the fault of the hotel, but street noises were very loud and the bright light outside the window made it seem like daylight despite the window shade. All rooms were on the second floor and there was no elevator. There was no hairdryer.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location and the place was renovated in a trendy style. Feels like home. The bathrooms and showers ( to share) we very clean and spacious. A positive surprise.
Cons: There is a lot of noise downtown early in the morning. The windows do not block a lot of noise and we forgot to turn on the fan. The property foresees earplugs though! Very thoughtful!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful space with a European feel, this hotel was a pleasure, especially for the cost!
Cons: No improvements needed! Great place!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Front desk was friendly and helpful. Building was in very good condition, rooms were spare, but had some nice hi tech features.
Cons: It was really hot with no fan or way to adjust the temperature. Also, a nightlight for the bathroom would be great.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Pet friendly with no extra charge.
Cons: No refrigerator
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The grocery store nearby recieves delivery before 6am. Pretty noisy!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Historic area, We liked being so close to the center of town !! A beautiful hotel !!
Cons: No Air conditioning is expected as it's cool at night and you can raise the windows, ( extremely easy ), but they need a fan in each room to move some air !! Great Hotel !!
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location to city center, trolly, and piers. Definitely glad we got our own bathroom/shower.
Cons: No air conditioning and street noise was distracting (note: explains why the hotel provided ear plugs in the room).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were super clean, super comfortable. I was impressed with the quality of the mattress and bedding. We got a room with a shared bathroom but those were very clean, too. Room had a sink, and bathrobes for wandering to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Super friendly staff, and a very cool building. I know some people might think sharing facilities is a little weird - I’m a total germaphobe and it wasn’t even an issue. It was honestly such a fantastic value. Reminded me of the old houses I lived in in San francisco. Right in the heart of downtown Astoria.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room comfy and well appointed w minimalist design
Cons: noisy room, by street.

5.4 Okay
Pros: The View from our window
Cons: Poor Housekeeping ruined the trip for us. Sheets were not fresh when we checked in. We did NOT leave a sign the bed saying we did not want our sheets changed, because WE WANTED OUR SHEETS CHANGED. They were NOT changed and the crumbs and debris from the night before were left all over the carpet as I guess vacuuming is right up there with changing sheets. No new cups were put out for our second night. You can tell the bathroom is hardly clean. Hugely disappointed.
6.7 Good
Pros: The location on the water
Cons: Wasn’t able to check in until 4:30 despite published time of 3:00. Zero charm front desk person. Drapes that don’t close combined with bright exterior light. Even teens thought breakfast buffet was yucky.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location. Breakfast. Comfortable beds.
Cons: Adjoining room with a stranger. Noisy!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Waterfront walking trail and trolley connect to local restaurants and waterfront breweries. Nice view of river traffic and historic bridge. Rooms are large and fireplaces are a nice touch. Staff was very helpful and breakfast was very adequate.
Cons: There was a slight odor when entering the room which I discussed with front desk. They were appreciative and I am sure will resolve. For the price, this should be paramount. No other issues at all. A good hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool was great
Cons: I didn’t like that there was not a whole lot of fresh fruit for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was just large enough. Breakfast came with the room. It’s location was perfect to our wandering. Movies local to the area were provided free.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great view to the waterfront. Parking close to the entrance. Great breakfeast room. Indoor pool. Nicely located in Walking distance to town center. Trolley station right in front of the hotel.
7.1 Good
Cons: Didn’t match price on booking.com without having to go through paperwork after the fact
7.5 Good
Pros: The location was AWESOME!!!!
Cons: A little bit more customer service
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Liked the location
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The river view was great of the huge ships coming in. Could see the river captain climb the ladder on board to guide the ships on the Columbia.
Cons: Cost was very high compared to similar places. Not enoegh parking. Hard to reach the toilet paper roll.
Clementine'S Bed & Breakfast - Astoria - Bedroom
5
9.2 Excellent (121 reviews)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful, personable hosts. Just 2 blocks from the main downtown/pier area. Lovely rooms and an excellent breakfast - what more could you want?
Cons: Nothing, really. We were there mid-week so they weren't full but if you go when the place is fully booked you may have to park a block away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was phenomenal. Bruno (the resident feline) is an absolute delight. Bed was comfy. Coffee was good. Truly haven't a complaint. Would absolutely return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Yvonne and Stephen were very gracious hosts, concerned and attending to our every need. We arrived after dinner, and they had kept out appetizers and wine, just in case we were still hungry. Of course, we enjoyed the treats! Breakfast was way above our expectations, with home made cranberry scones and a lovely egg dish on china plates. Their second evening of appetizers included ceviche and guacamole! Saturday breakfast was a lovely baked french toast that I'd love to replicate! Both of our hosts were wonderful to get to know, and Stephen played awesome piano music for about an hour each evening. Our bedroom was nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was private, with entry from the bedroom. They had lovely gardens to walk around in, just behind their 1888 home.
Cons: My only concern would be for someone who had allergies to their wonderful Maine Coon cat. The home was quite clean, but it's hard to keep dander out of the living room. For those guests, there is one upper room that the cat never enters.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts , created a lovely atmosphere between guests- we had two fun breakfast ( delicious food too) beautifully laid out & special touches such as chocolate covered strawberries.
Cons: Wish they’d told us about the side entrance before we arrived as it made getting bags in & out so much easier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience was faultless.
Cons: Clementines is well located within an easy walk to many dining options and places of interest. Bruno the house cat was a real bonus.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The whole place was charming. Gardens were getting a good trimming up, and the furnishings were comfortable and fitting for the space. Reminded me of my beloved Aunt's home. Fresh flowers on the baby grand piano. Hot coffee and tea, visiting in the afternoon, and Bruno the very large cat.
Cons: The mattress was comfortable but the old iron bed was squeaky. Made me giggle repeatedly. Had to share common space, which I didn't mind but my hubby didn't care for. Main house was hot and humid, which made waiting for breakfast uncomfortable. Parking was free, but the streets and steps are steep!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. Our room was very clean and provided everything to feel comfortable. Astoria is a lovely town. The location of the B&B was perfect, everything on walking distance. The breakfast was great! Would definitely come back again!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hosts and helper
Cons: City Sidewalk was uneven by curbside parking and my wife tripped
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was awesome!
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing! The place feels more like staying at someone's home, rather than a hotel. Judith makes sure everyone is taken care of and different schedules can be accommodated.
Cons: Well, if you look closely at anything it could all use a good scrub down. Once I figured out how to open the front door that was fine, but the lock on my room was pretty tough. I had to set all my stuff on the floor and use both hands to unlock it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The mangers Steve and Yvonne are wonderful. They treated us like royalty. Piano concert nightly, wine and cheese nightly, excellent, excellent breakfast. Crab quiche, french toast like you never had before, best breakfast ever. A cat named Bruno that you will want to take home with you, beautiful flowers in their garden and around the house. They are really, really nice people with a 6th sense to anticipate what you need. Love, Love this place.
Cons: I honestly could not find a thing wrong with this b and b. Maybe they are just to kind.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Location was ideal for exploring Astoria Roof top patio
Cons: Room was quite small with Queen bed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff were amazing. Rooms were nicely decorated, very comfortable, and renovated with respect to the time it was built.
Cons: Not a thing!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, the temp was fine with the kinda loud air conditioning unit. (We are fine with that ... we use that brand of air conditioner at home). The space felt very quiet, relaxing and serene. Really liked the roof top deck. Would be nice to have some umbrellas (sun protection) ... but I don't know if that would work with wind.
Cons: Our room (205) was a little small. Perhaps there are other rooms that would work better for us. We like to read in comfortable chairs with good lighting (a lamp.) This room had one semi comfortable desk chair. The only reading lighting were the little lights at the sides of the bed. Thought about relaxing on the main floor in comfy chairs - but there was loud music blaring most of the time (unnecessary I think). Breakfast was so so. I would rather have a selection of breakfast pastries from local bakeries, some cereal and bagel options. The eggs, french toast and fruit compote were a little weird tasting. After the first day - we just went to the wonderful, WONDERFUL! Blue Scorcher.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Art Deco building from 1920’s. Great roof terrace.
Cons: Nor applicable
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good. Location was great. Ingrid was amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was perfect, staff was excellent. Great location, you can easily walk everywhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was terrific and it was a very fun, unique hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Despite being in the center of town this is an old hotel which means it has small rooms. Not much that can be changed. A bit expensive but a nice experience being centrally locates.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is quiet and cozy, staff is great and I love the old building. The room itself is very nice, big bathroom which I love and comfortable bed.
Cons: The Sunday market outside my window is a bit loud but I'm an early riser anyway.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Bar in hotel where you can buy drinks and go up to roof with great views of ships and river. Jetted bathtub. Breakfast included. Location fantastic; 2 short blocks to river and restaurants, shopping, etc. all around hotel.
Cons: Had to think a little bit about parking, but not a problem. Sometimes there was an odd odor in lobby...not bad odor but odd.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great. Enough to get you going for the day and save some cash for other things. On our visit they had fresh cinnamon rolls, sausage, eggs benedict (single sided English muffin, fully cooked egg and hollandaise sauce), various bread options for toasting, yogurt, orange and apple juice as well as coffee. Everything was made fresh in-house.
Cons: From a life safety perspective, some rooms do not have AC and you will need to open the window to get some fresh air. The windows are large enough that anyone can fit through them. Be warned if you have kids.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Atmosphere is delightful and terrific location. Would definitely come again. Really liked the rooftop at sunset.
Cons: Can’t think of anything negative.
Commodore Hotel - Astoria - Building

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Commodore Hotel in Astoria, you'll be a 4-minute walk from Heritage Museum and 5 minutes by foot from Columbia River Maritime Museum. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and an elevator (lift).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great, small, affordable hostel-style hotel. Shared bathrooms were beautiful and well-kept. Would absolutely recommend.
4.2 Okay
Pros: I liked the location of the Hotel and that I was on the 3rd floor
Cons: Return to medieval times when in Europe the rooms had no bathroom: it is true the room had no bathroom only sink. Do not have AC rooms, small TV and it is supposed to be 4 Stars I REPEAT DO NOT DRINK AND NO WC IS THE SHARED BATHROOM : ((
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best location, staff, and amenities. One of my absolute favorite places to stay
9.4 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is so unique. Well worth your time. The décor is chic, the staff are friendly, the location is convenient, and the experience will be enjoyable. You may have a pencil sharpener in your room which is useful for sharpening the pencils they leave in your room. You can also check out vinyl records and movies.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This eclectic space is a definite for any traveler looking for something different and unique. The front desk staff are well versed on local shops and places to eat. You can even borrow your own turntable and vinyl to play in your room! A quirky step back in time that people are sure to love with its modern touches.
Cons: The only fault would be the lack of A/C, but open the windows and turn on the fan and it was perfect! Yes this is actually a hotel where the windows still open!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. The place is old and lovely. I needed a fridge for some medication and it was no bother for staff to assist. Cafe downstairs is really good quality.Although the room was small it was all we needed for a few nights sleep.
Cons: A fridge in a room is always handy for fruit, medication, drinks but not having one was ok for us.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location is Central, clean place + helpful staff
Cons: Incredibly uncomfortable bed + stiff pillows...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Once we got past the shock of having shared showers and bathrooms, it’s a beautiful, historic, well renovated hotel. Slept like a log! Great staff and clean rooms!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff Cool building and atmosphere Nice additional touches, e.g. beer tasting and record library Excellent shower (shared)
Cons: Room was warm, even with fan on and window open. Room was small.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good, refurbished old hotel. Rooms were very small. Keep in mind that there are shared restrooms and showers on each floor. Wasn't a problem for us. In fact the showers were great. This is not a long-term stay hotel. A few nights is ok. More than that might get rough. Cool lobby with LP's and Turntable to listen to with headphones. Lots of places to eat, have coffee, drink within walking distance. We basically got there, went to bed at 10PM and left at 5:30AM to go fishing. So for that, it was great.
Cons: Rooms are not air-conditioned. You can open the window, but the window area outside had not been cleaned it seems for awhile and there was a lot of funky stuff like feathers, dust, general crud. So I didn't want to leave the window open while I slept. A good breeze would just send that stuff into your face, as the window is right next to the bed (on 2nd Floor). Higher floors probably are OK. Creaky wood floor and if there are restless guests, it is NOISY.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the centre of town. Reasonable price for parking on top of room rate. Great basic facilities, and the staff were great. Adjoining cafe makes the best flat white I’ve had in the U.S. Astoria is a great place. Highly recommend.
Cons: Not much
10.0 Excellent
Pros: records and dvd access.
Cons: Could hear some other tenants' music through the window. The room was on the warm side.

Pros: Only 3 blocks from the waterfront, just 2 blcoks from downtown. Great Location. Also fabulous breakfast served with a smile. Eggs, sausage, pancakes, fresh fruit, coffe, tea...WOW! So much more than expected! Private restroom and shower. Lovely antique setting. Excellent value. Becky is super nice!
Cons: We did not have a view, but I think if we had paid more there were probably view rooms available.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The attic room was very specious, plenty of amenities, charming and the group breakfast was yummy and homemade. Great views and perfect location.

5.4 Okay
Pros: The hotel is new and nice, however there are other comparable properties nearby.
Cons: When we checked in, we were told that the manager had increased the price on our second day by $30. The stated reason was that it was a weekend rate - that day was a Thursday. We were unable to get this price increase reduced - the clerk said it was locked in the computer and could not be changed. The manager was not available for us to talk to at check in or check out. We considered relocating to a nearby comparable hotel, but because we had made the reservation through booking, we would have had to pay $200 to cancel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything
Cons: No
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view was beautiful! We loved walking along the trolley trail and listening to the barking sea lions. My kids loved the pool and hot tub and the waffles for breakfast.
Cons: The room was fairly small for the cost of it and the sheets could have been less scratchy on the bed.
7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, clean room, good breakfast with plenty of choice including bacon and eggs
Cons: Some noise from room above, but not a major problem, just people walking around (we were on the ground floor)
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: To much money for what you got. Beds were hard and uncomfortable
6.0 Good
Pros: The Breakfast Bar
Cons: The issue with being double charged on my credit card
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Location near a trolley stop and Pier 39 is a bonus
Cons: For sure the serene setting and view out to the Columbia was special but this peaceful setting was significantly impacted by the obnoxious barking sea lions 24/7. On a return trip to Astoria we will definitely stay away from the east mooring boat basin.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The clean of the hotel, the setting look very fancy but still welcoming. The state was great, Nate was super nice and helpful. Front desk people very good.
Cons: The bed was not comfortable compare to lots of hotel we had stayed. And there was not any extra blanket really just one extra. There two bed and one extra blanket. And when I try customer service the phone did not dial out correctly. The omelet was salty couldn't enjoy it. The breakfast staff was not very friendly nor like their job much. Maybe they need a raise or just a different job. I am there as a guess not for you to be upset at or give me an attitude.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
Cons: No complaints
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved how the room accommodated our family of 5 with the hide a bed. Breakfast included is always a plus! Very clean rooms.
Cons: Maybe more options at breakfast, like more meat selections and having pancakes already made instead of waiting for waffles to be made.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location close to my niece.
Cons: Did not need two huge beds; no other option. Much too expensive for a view of the parking lot ( instead of the Columbia River.)
7.9 Good
Cons: The room that I booked was too small, expected a bigger room.

9.1 Excellent
Pros: We just got back from staying at the Astoria Crest Motel in room 120. It had a gorgeous view of the Columbia and the Astoria bridge. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. I really liked how the sink, with coffee maker, fridge and microwave were separated from the main room and also separate from the toilet/bath room. There was a comfortable sofa that I kicked back in and watched the cargo ships. The continental breakfast and lobby area were very nice and comfortable. Lovely place to watch the rain this morning. The staff were pleasant to talk with while we waited for a break in the weather to go back to our room. The price was very economical and way less than the chain establishments in Astoria. Good Job.
Cons: The hot tub is really tiny.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Quiet- we had a room facing the road but very little road noise. We have stayed here before. They've since changed owners and fixed it up. There is a large breakfast area now with ample tables. The breakfast included make your own waffles, yogurt, cereal, fruit, bagels and other usual breakfast items. It's a little ways out of town but not much and it's more quieter and peaceful because of that. There's a hot tub and pet friendly. We got the no pet room. Great value for the money. We'd definitely stay here again on our coast trips.
Cons: Nothing
7.7 Good
Pros: Room was clean and cozy.
Cons: Parking for our particular room. The stairs were in the way.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Okay stay for outside of the town proper.
Cons: I was quoted $70/night, but charged $142/night. I would NEVER pay such a rate for a hotel that offers so little in ammenties; we could hear every word from our neighbors; and the plumbing was loud at every hour.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location was ok - room was clean
Cons: We placed the do not disturb notice so we could get ready to leave for the day. When we returned my husband went to the office to request maid service and he said that the front desk person was so rude that we will not return to this location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view, nice and quite, sitting in the hot tub watching the ships.
Cons: Liked everything

7.5 Good
Pros: Convenience of location to all kinds of activities
Cons: Location of pool we had some guy looking in from outside when it was dark. A bit creepy
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location is good, free parking. size of room is good, 2 queen beds, plus sofa.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything we needed, including wi-fi and fridge in the room. Breakfast had lots of options, was promptly re-supplied, and food/eating areas maintained clean. Really liked the location next to river, river path, and Safeway.
Cons: Would be helpful to make the driveway entrance more clear when dark, by maybe adding spotlights. It was a little confusing for me, being new to the area.
6.7 Good
Pros: Very clean facility with a nice breakfast but we were too tired to enjoy it.
Cons: The door to our room jammed shut locking us out for over an hour and a half. The front desk clerk tried everything and the night repair man didn't have transportation. Their first offer was another room for the night but we had nothing but our swimsuits as our luggage, meds, phones purses were in our room. They finally got him there and let us in and comp'd the room but sitting in the lobby in our swimsuits was not nice. Also our room window views looked out at their roof. Absolutely no view of anything.
7.9 Good
Cons: The lighting over the sink & vanity was poor.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location, spacious room, friendlystaff
Cons: queen beds were more the size of full beds
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved that the pool /hot tub was open !!!
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was right on the Riverwalk and it was a very short trip to town. The woman who was on the desk at checkout this morning was lovely.
Cons: The person checking us in was ride to us and to the other person he was working with. We did not feel welcomed at all and we thought his treatment of his colleague was terrible. The rooms were not clean. The bathroom floor had toilet paper, the sink wasn't totally cleaned, rugs were dirty in the hall and room and it was musty smelling.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property was well-maintained inside and out. The room was way bigger than expected, the beds were comfortable.
Cons: The breakfast was adequate but unmemorable. Traveling with kids who love to swim, it was super disappointing that the pool was only a few degrees warmer than the Arctic! It’s sad to kids who are determined to swim but their chins are shaking from the cold so you have to limit their time in the pool. Seriously?
9.6 Excellent

7.5 Good
Pros: I really liked the theme/decor of the Motel. The whole setting made me think of my childhood traveling cross county and staying at motels along the way. Nothing fancy, no frills, just a clean place to rest with decent beds.
Cons: The box fan didn't really cut it. It would have been nice to have AC.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere was very retro and awesome. The room was very clean, although a little old.
Cons: It was on a very busy street. However the rooms were tucked back behind the office so we didn't get too much noise. There wasn't much parking available and luckily we got checked in in time to snag the last spot.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. We didn't eat breakfast a we wanted to try somewhere in town. Maybe next time.
9.6 Excellent

6.7 Good
Pros: The breakfast was fine and the location was great.
Cons: The room we had #117 was run down, the water in the bathroom sink would drain really slow, we had to get a maintenance guy come to our room and service the sink. The overflow hole in the sink is gross, filty dirty and needs to be cleaned out. The bath faucet was dripping and the shower head is old and inadequate and needs to be replaced. The balcony is dirty with cobb webs hanging from the overhand, it hasn't been painted in a long time. The pictures in the advertisement for the balcony don't correspond with the actual balcony.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Really nothing
Cons: The place smelled musty, not like the ocean. I paid extra for a view, 40 foot was of water then a dirt parking lot. got up the next day they turned the water off for a hour plus and didn't say any thing. The room was a electrical nightmare, extension cords hidden behind things. Then they moved us to another room, we came back late at night only one bed had sheets. Then the manager out and out lied to me and I called him on it, some young girl was at the desk, the manager was on a cell phone he said he was two hours away. Oh the second room had a very nice view. they said that they just remolded, like a cheep rental house
7.1 Good
Pros: Location, Hotel personal very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Was put in a room that allowed pets. It did not smell bad but the stains on the carpet were NOT very appealing! I’m not sure I would stay there again, and I would not recommend it. It needs some maintenance and upgrades and then it would be nice!
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The room was on the river but facing a marina full of unmaintained old boats
Cons: When arriving to the property the first thing you see is a boarded up rotted falling into the river what used to be the hotel restaurant & lounge. The room reserved for us was not very clean, had a collapsed broken bed frame & badly warn & stained carpet
8.8 Excellent
Pros: While this facility was top notch at it’s height in the 70’s, it needs a major renovation to return to that day. The location at the marina on the Columbia River is great, if you like watching that sort of activity - I do. The rooms are clean. You do get some noise from people walking in rooms above and hear some talking from them me to time, but not a lot. It is a good deal for the price. The free Breakfast is typical of free breakfasts.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were clean and comfortable with a great view. Worth the money. Right on the walking and trolley trails.
Cons: Low flow shower head. Breakfast could use a waffle maker as I've seen in other places. Only 1 ice machine that was a long way from our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, great view. Quiet
Cons: N/A
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Not much pictures deceiving
Cons: Not much
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and view of bridge and marina. Very nice staff. I’ll definitely go back.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: We had a seriously disappointing experience. 1. The view was mainly of a pile of lumber, and of cars driving out to an industrial area of a pier. 2 The television did not work. Front Desk had to send a young repair-person out. It took him several trips to fix the problem. 3. The internet connection was very bad. It took several tries simply to get the password to function. My husband could never receive anything on his I-pad, and connectivity kept failing for me. One of the hotel workers admitted when we asked later that the internet at Riverwalk was so bad this person did not bother bringing a cellphone to work. 4. There is a terrible lack of adequate electronic outlets (sockets) for devices, including my husband's sleep apnea machine. The hotel seemed to rely on extension cords to link its few lamps and appliances to electricity, creating a pile of wiring behind the furniture. 5. There were toenail clippings on the carpet between our twin beds. There were long hairs by the bathroom sink. There was OLD LEFTOVER FOOD IN THE REFRIGERATOR. 6. The sliding screen door was too warped to shut properly, and could not latch and lock. 7. There were no gauze drapes between the windows and the heavy drapes. Lots of people were walking their pets within sight of our windows. I immediately wrote the General Manager, Lenny Cheyney, Jr., seeking a full refund. He admitted that--quoting him--"The property was built in 1968 and surely is in need for some ... upgrading." Lenny Cheyney refused to refund the $213 fee we paid for a single night. We will never return to this hotel and we will actively discourage friends and all online media from considering it a reasonable place to stay in Astoria.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff and the customer service was amazing! They upgraded our room to a suite because it was our anniversary and that was suprising. Definitely will be going back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, quiet

4.6 Okay
Cons: Position on main busy road ensured traffic noise was annoying
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view of the Columbia river and the bridge was great. We really enjoyed having a separate bedroom especially since we had our baby with us. A very good location thats within walking distance of restaurants, parks, and the trolley.
Cons: There wasnt a lot of parking in front of our building, but there was a 2nd lot to the west, you just have to drive out on the main highway to get there.
4.6 Okay
Cons: Double charged me and will not refund payment after calling them 4 times!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean room love having air conditioner
Cons: Small coffee maker had to park far from room in gravel lot
7.9 Good
Pros: The motel is in a very convenient location, right on the main road through town, with peek-a-boo views of the water. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and has had some updating (bathroom counter/small refrigerator).
Cons: Understandably, being in a tourist town, prices were VERY high for such a small, standard room. WiFi was spotty and no amenities on site.
7.5 Good
Pros: Quiet
Cons: Small bathroom for heavy set petson
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: nothing

Cons: The room was advertised with a kitchen and stove we on had a mini fridge
5.8 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Cons: The room was smaller then advertised and the view was not as advertised
5.0 Okay
Pros: Close to marina
Cons: Disgustingly over priced at $'----. I stayed here years ago at $---. I won't be back on weekends as it drops to $--- midweek. It's got bad noise from hwy traffic which kept me up late and got me up early. Also fishermen get up at 5am and make noise.
7.1 Good
Pros: Clean rooms. Nice TV.
Cons: Close to main road/traffic. A little steep on price.
4.2 Okay
Pros: There was a bed and air-conditioning.
Cons: Not a great neighborhood and on a busy street. No real view of the View of the water river worth mentioning.

8.5 Excellent
Cons: Room was to small.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The reception staff were extremely friendly and accomodating with us! The motel is very well located, on the waterfront and close to the city center.
5.8 Okay
Pros: I am gonna put my comment here.. Even it should probably go in that other section. So the only available room was smoking room, and I did expect it to smell bad, but not that bad. Also the only think I do expect everywhere is cleanliness. This was not clean. And spiders and bugs. We woke up with so many bites on our bodies. Maybe it was just that one room, but we would never go there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean.
Cons: Noisy traffic but it did stop at about 10:30 pm.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the price and the location. Was able to book last minute.
Cons: When I went to put my leftovers in the fridge there was already a food container in there. That was pretty gross to me and I was concerned about the level of cleanliness for the rest of the room.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The people were nice and the location good and it was dog friendly.
Cons: I am not in touch with motel prices. For $100 + it was a place to sleep, period. The bathroom was small and uninviting so I skipped the shower. The coffee pot didn't work.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Columbia Inn is a standard, aging motel, centrally located, clean, okay bed and furnishings, very friendly staff, good wifi, and I would certainly stay again.
Cons: The traffic was noisy, as it's on a highway passing through town, with most traffic, even large trucks, going WAY over the 25 mph speed limit. A little frightening!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: LOCATION....CAN WALK TO ANYTHING IN ASTORIA. PRICE WAS OK.
Cons: SINK WOULD NOT DRAIN BUSY AND NOISY ROAD

Overview Reviews
Motel 6 Astoria is located in the heart of Historic Union Town district alongside the Columbia River, adjacent to the Marina and Astoria Riverwalk trail. Our modern guestrooms offer Columbia River, Bridge, or city views. Enjoy free Wi-Fi.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the view of the bridge behind the building and the location was close to restaurants
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good coffee shop and a pub with bad food right across the street.
Cons: This time we didn't get a room with a view of the bridge.
7.0 Good
Cons: Noisy. Wi wi does not work. No breakfast.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: I liked the view.
Cons: The room wasn't what we were told we'd get. The pool wasn't in order. I paid almost $400 for 2 nights and couldn't do anything but watch t.v.
7.1 Good
Pros: I liked the location. Right by food, coffee. Close to Trolley and Column and other great sights.
Cons: The Washington bridge is basically above you, we didn’t mind.... apparently at night it may not be in the best neighborhood? But everything was fine for us. Also, they need to do some work on the shower!!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff, location, not too expensive considering the busy weekend.
Cons: No way to arrange for a group. Required one person's name and phone to hold room. We had no idea who would show up first which was inconvenient.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Very noisy with thin walls.. the outside lights on the rooms does not shut off so your room is lit up all night.
7.9 Good
Pros: Coffee was good. Didn't try the tea. The room was a nice size but it was hard to relax and enjoy TV without a place to sit comfortably and a small table or even TV trays would have helped. The room also was clean.
Cons: Would have liked breakfast but don't want a higher price room. Also most motels now have a hair dryer so I didn't bring one and that was an unexpected surprise. Some make you check them out and bring them back when you leave. As I mentioned above the lack of table made spending time in the room not as comfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The lights outside the room were very bright when trying to sleep. The room was very clean, love the lament floors. The staff were more than friendly and very helpful.
Cons: The bright lights over night. They are excellent for security so I’m not sure I would recommend changing it.
6.3 Good
Cons: Was woken up at 5 am by other guests leaving and being extremely loud and belligerent. Would have appreciated it if the staff would have stopped the behavior
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: It was new.
Cons: Dog next door barking at 4:30 am, wifi was out when we checked in and didn’t get fixed, over flowing garbage can outside office with cleaning staff going by several times. Six overnight stays on our trip. Only Motel 6 and Our experience was awful, and not even benefiting with low price. Staff never even asked about our stay when we checked out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, easy parking friendly staff.
