Very small compact space. Small rooms ... sheets don’t feel like fresh ones. Breakfast is horrible .. very repetitive and below average in taste . Imagine if someone can go wrong even in simple dosa Location is good ..
The food was nice. The bar was decent.
The swimming pool was dirty and not well maintained. The snooker table needed a bit of upkeep. Speakers at the bar could use an upgrade. Also after being served breakfast via room service we called to have our dirty dishes picked up which never was. We eventually left it outside our room and informed the reception, but it was cleared and birds started to pick on the remains... Seemed like other rooms had a similar issue too. No one likes to clean up...
Pathetic front office personnel, rude and zero customer service. Smelly rooms and unclean swimming pool. Poor quality food. Not worth at all...avoid at all cost
Have left a detailed feedback on the hotel feedback book which they very reluctantly offered. We hired 2 rooms. One room # 107 and 106 ac not effective, fungus in the bathroom ceiling, white ants in the wooden cabinets, small cockroaches, bathroom sink clogged, all this informed no action taken. Customer service needs lot of improvement. Staff seems to be nice but management needs to look deep into the day to day running. We were very happy with the stay4 years back and hence visited again however will not be recommending to anyone and will not visit again.
The Tamarind is a great Botique property located well and close to the major landmarks in the anjuna-vagator-assagoan area. The property is well managed in the stand alone small property kinda way. The room was fabulous, spacious and the bathroom was like a walk in suite by itself. You can expect excellent hospitality, smiling and helpful staff. The pool is one of the best in the area, shaded by trees it is a haven in the afternoon.
The food at the property is the only disappointment. I had the breakfast inclusive in my plan. The breakfast for the in-house guests was the the most basic and lack lustre affair. With basic options in the English Breakfast and one in Indian, Egg and Dosa Station, etc. while the taste aside, the whole management of breakfast for the in house guests was just disappointment. Once had to collect a coupon at the counter for breakfast, then the breakfast was self service (means that would not even serve you water on your table (i understand that the Continga Coffee shop maybe owned and operated by a different entity). So while the service differentiation was acceptable just the overall way the breakfast was managed was shoddy - fruits were cut and placed in a non cooled tray so by the time one got to the breakfast at 9:30 there were fruit flies all over it. Same with the Watermelon juice that was starting to turn on both days. I also ordered dinner on all my 3 days while the pasta was excellent and the pizza was good too. i ordered an indian thali on day 3 and couldn't even bring myself to finish half of it. The butter chicken was sweet to a fault, the kheer was turning bad, the dal makhani was salty, (serves me right for ordering north indian food in Goa... haha)
