the place is more known as Fort Knox and is actually outside St. Vlas. There are 4 residences there and it would be nice to have the one you stay in confirmed upon booking and not to walk around the receptions. the stuff should be trained that the customers actually pay their salaries and are not some intruders who should be sent away asap. They require a deposit of 50 lv which is also not stated anywhere. Pretty overrated and overpriced.
Lovely sea (August, Black Sea) though limited beach.
The night check-in staff (9pm) did not know the name of their own hotel and did not recognise this address given by booking.com! Hotel is also called Fort Nox, and I consequently spent 1 hour trying to convince the man at reception I was booked at that hotel, (there is a huge blue sign in the road saying "Grand Resort Hotel" and it took him all that time to check my booking reference after I insisted, yes insisted, he called the phone number in Sofia (given on my email confirmation) to check what the problem could be. He finally conceded the hotel was Grand Resort Hotel and sent me to another reception 100 feet away, other side of the road, where a woman claimed to be on a 24hour shift without sleeping and took 40 minutes to check me in.
The appartment was clean. The complex is very well mantained. teh swimming pool are well spread in the complex (but they should be cleaner). the view of the sea side was beatiful. The price was excellent. It is nice for a friend vacation.
We had actually booked a studio (be careful - the studio is small and you sleep on a small extendable sofa - only a few have beds as the receptionist told us). But since they did not say that in the presentation we asked to be mooved and they gave us an appartement which was very nice. The food options is poor, but you can buy from a store in the complex and cook or eat out. The complex is right on the main road at the end of Sveti Vlas (it actually has signs of MarinaBay, Panorama)
Proximity to the beach, swimming pools. Perfect place for those who prefer self catering (fully equipped kitchen in every apartment) and those wanting to feel exactly like home.
First of all it is not a hotel. It is a residential complex where the developers rent the apartments that were not sold. No one there knows the name Grand Resort (not even the employees), you should ask about Fort Noks instead. No one cleans the room during your stay, you are supposed to do it yourself (cleaning tools are present in the apartment - mop, broom..).
staff, hotel to much big, the did not find our reservation when we arrived, we stay 1 hour to have a room. to ;uch people, to much trafic, not well indicated to go there- horrible buildings
