Pros: Staff was very helpful with offering tours & explaining different attractions to go see in the city. Excellent service! It is was centrally located & within walking distance from many historical attractions.
Cons: There was a fowl smell at times that would come from the toilet...didn't mentioned it to staff, since I was not in the room a lot, only to sleep. All other aspects of the hotel were nice!
Pros: Very centric and helpful staff
Cons: my room had a door with a glass panel above it. I whish there was a way to block off the light from the atrium.
Pros: The hotel was clean and had all the basic ammenities you need. Wifi, air conditioning, clean rooms and bathrooms. The hotel is located in the heart of the City so this is perfect for someone who wants to walk around and go to museums etc. Overall a great experience for the money.
Pros: This hotel was gorgeous! It was like staying in a 5 star hotel for the price of a motel6. I highly recommend hotel morales and am looking forward to staying here again. It is just a few blocks away from the cathedrals, theatre and restaurants so it was very convenient to drop by the hotel throughout the day. We took advantage of all the amenities- the gym, rooftop pool, pool table, room service and restaurant. I loved staying here!
Pros: Location, friendly staff
Pros: Great location. Reception staff was good but food staff was inattentive.
Pros: staff was awsome, every minute very helpful: from the front desk, resturant, and maids having the room look like the first day.
Pros: Everything was good except that we found a small cockroach in the floor (that tells me there were more), also the beds are not comfortable to sleep, great location and very beautiful inside.
Pros: Beautiful building within easy walking distance to a number of a number of historic sites and plazas.
Very charming. Would stay again.

Pros: I loved this place. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Very clean and comfortable rooms.
Cons: The only issue I had was the internet connectivity. But other than this everything was great.
Pros: It was immaculate the staff was so great .
At Áurea Hotel & Suites, you'll be 2.8 mi (4.5 km) from La Minerva and 5.9 mi (9.4 km) from University of Guadalajara Assembly Hall. Pros: Awesome service. The concierges we interacted with are all lovely people. The bar was great, the al pastor tacos were amazing.
The room was super clean and comfortable. The area where the hotel is located is full of nice bars and restaurants. There's a mini mall next to it with a movie theater as well.
The breakfast and dinner dishes we tried were delicious. The internet speed was very decent.

Pros: This is a great place that is always very busy for a reason. Great breakfast buffet, friendly staff, and a nice courtesy lounge with free snacks and drinks for when you are in a rush and need something on the way out..or just want to enjoy a beer before heading to your room/pool.
Cons: I'm not sure what happened with my room this time, but the pillows were completely awful. I was in a room with 2 double beds and all of them were no good. Later in the week when I moved rooms to a king, they were much better which improved the overall quality of the comfort.
Pros: I loved the decor and view and available parking
Cons: The front desk girls attitude and the hair from previous guest all over the bed it was disgusting we called for them to clean up the guy who came up real nice but no further apology nothing and our bed was full of it everywhere made me think dis they even clean anything else ruined the experience
Located in Greater Guadalajara, this luxury hotel is within a 15-minute walk of La Estampida Sculpture and La Minerva. University of Guadalajara Assembly Hall is 2.7 mi (4.3 km) away.
Cons: I was charged by the hotel at my check out and by getaroom when room was booked. Now none of them resolve the issue. Each tells me to talk to the other. Very disappointing. Feeling ripped

The restaurant is the perfect spot for a bite to eat, and after visiting the fitness center for a workout, you can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. Pros: Staff is super friendly and will try their best to please you. grsuoer nice and happy staff.
Cons: breakfast not included, Internet barely works, cable doesn't work most of time, AC wasn't working well.
Pros: The rooms were nice and clean, just as the photos show. We went to the restaurant for dinner, and that was really, really good with a wide variety of Mexican dishes. The breakfast buffet was good, too, with hot and cold items. The prices for both of those were great. Dinner for 20 people was 2429 pesos, or about $130; breakfast for 20 was 1829 pesos or $100. It wasn't far to walk to the cathedral area and lots of great sites. I didn't go out walking at night, but during the day it seemed to be a safe neighborhood. It was nice, too, that they had a computer down in the lobby that anyone could use.
Cons: The staff was friendly at first, but seemed to grow less so as I had more requests/needs. We had a large group, though, so as the coordinator, it wasn't really a lot to ask for the number of people we had (I wasn't just being high maintenance). Part of the issue may have been that their English wasn't so good and my Spanish isn't so good. Whatever it was, it wasn't the best experience of service. Also, the street seemed noisy at night, but as we went to other towns, by comparison, it wasn't. Mexico is just kind of a noisy place.
Pros: The location was amazing, close to all the main places for my visit
Cons: The room was kind of small
Pros: The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower great. Overall great room. The staff at the front desk were awesome and so were the men who took care of the cars. I would not call them valets because they seemed to do a lot of different things, but they were awesome.
Cons: There is a disco somewhere near and it was a little noisy. Not so bad but if I would have ear plugs it would have been better.

Pros: We had a pleasent stay. The rooms were big and very clean, not noisy, the staff was friendly and always willing to help.
Pros: I select the Portobelo Hotel every time I travel to Guadalajara. I have stayed there on 4 different occasions, and I had a very good experience every single time.
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The room was very modern in design. The bed was very comfortable with nice sheets. Little touches, like all the lighting being controllable from the bed were much appreciated. The staff were very nice and I really liked the location as it was central to a lot of attractions. Without thinking I would stay there again.
Cons: I wish the restaurant on the ground floor offered better meal options.
Hotel Portobelo offers a great location, putting you within a 15-minute walk of University of Guadalajara Assembly Hall and Metropolitan Cathedral, plus an airport shuttle is available for MXN 250.00 per vehicle roundtrip. For a bite to eat, guests can check out PBH, which serves Mexican cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Pros: Decoration was perfect! Location was great, and the staff were very attentive & friendly!
Cons: Beds could have been softer
Pros: customer service

Cons: everything at the hotel is excellent

A sauna and a steam room are other highlights, and rooms at this Colonial hotel offer up nice touches like bathrobes and Tempur-Pedic beds with down comforters.
Pros: Location was the best, right in the middle of Centro Guadalajara. Great buffet and restaurant!
Cons: The parking/valet situation. If you drive make to contact hotel for best parking options. The hotel uses a 24hr garage 3 blocks away, but with all the construction going on it will be a 10-15 walk. Other than this everything was great!
Pros: Very clean, quiet, comfy beds

Pros: After trying the other 4start neighbour hotel the WestIn is definitely the best...BY FAR:
Pros: It was a great hotel. The beds were very comfortable. I should've of rated a Excellent but, the reason i only gave it a "good", is because there was no pool. But I also loved the starbucks downstairs.
Cons: I didnt like temperature in the rooms. It couldve been a little cooler but we managed.
Pros: Nice people, very clean, excellent for what we needed that trip, we just needed a nice place to spend the nights, while visiting family. Comfortable and great facilities for adults.
Cons: No facilities for kids.
Pros: Front desk staff and cleaning staff we very friendly. Rooms were nicely furnished - bathroom is beautiful.
Location directly across the street from the convention center.
Cons: Bed and pillows very uncomfortable, not the Westin Heaven Bed that is advertised.
Bar was understaffed and very slow service.
Secluded from the city, good for conventions but you must travel by car if you want to eat outside.

Cons: this is a very nice hotel, rooms, location and amenities. It is really too bad that the owners do not pay attention to the comfort of the guest and prefer to opérate a BAR instead of a HOTEL.
On the fifth floor every night during our stay there was extreme loud noise from this bar - nightclub upstairs.
The worst part was all the furniture and equipment that is moved from 4pm till 9 pm before the bar opens and the from 3am till 6am when it closes....you fell like they are moving furniture in YOUR room.

Quinta Real Guadalajara is located in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The courtyards at this Guadalajara hotel are lush with foliage covering the stonewalls, giving an impression of maturity that defies the recent renovation. In the evening, fairy lights twinkle in the trees. A 250-year-old 'elephant leg' tree grows in a jungle-like atrium and extravagant floral arrangements are casually placed on coffee tables. The restaurant is located in the lobby and surrounded by beautiful gardens and architecture. Guests can take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, relax in the Jacuzzi, or work out at the fitness facilities. Golf is located near the hotel. For the business traveler, Quinta Real offers a business center and 2 meeting rooms. The hotel can arrange an airport shuttle for an extra fee; advance notice is required. An outdoor pool and a bar/lounge are other highlights, and rooms at this luxurious hotel offer up nice touches like iPod docks and Egyptian cotton sheets.
Pros: The rooms were very roomy, comfortable and clean.
Cons: The pool was dirty, my legs kept feeling other people's hair and the they had an exposed pool vacuum.
We also requested hypoallergenic pillows at 10pm and did not receive them until after 10:30 and multiple calls to front desk.
The food at the restaurant was edible but flavorless and expensive. While the waiters were very attentive, the food was bland, different temperatures and unimpressive. We ate there based on convenience for our 1 year old but would have rather had dinner somewhere local.
