Location Problem with the wifi service
Hotel location good There is no free airport shuttle bus and bathroom not very clean.
I did not get my apple and orange in the room
staff are friendly and a good location the booking confirmation said large room with either harbour or park views and my room had neither and it was small
Decent location Very small rooms
location, on top of a shopping mall and sea ferry port to china. smell of food in the lobby
It is very convenient and near the shopping areas.
The location of the hotel. The bed was too hard.
cheaper and near the shopping areas
The location is good, and the hotel staff are very friendly. The bathroom is a little small, and the shower is a quite low for tall people
Great location. We checked in and there was hammering and drilling in the room adjacent to ours. I called the front desk and they told me there was no construction happening. I held up the receiver and they heard it. I was later told it would stop by 6p, but that did not help us because we were exhausted and wanted to rest earlier in the afternoon.
Good staff manners, easy location. Easy transport from Air port The room was too small and there is not much room for walking and luggages.
Location was great
Helpful and friendly staff No
location room size was so small
Súper bien ubicado, limpio, feliz en mi estancia
nothing The room and bed is too small !!!
So.so The checking staff n too epensive
close the ferries and walking along the waterfront
we have a pleasant stay there although we find the room a bit small from the normal hotel rooms. How ever this was compensated by the pleasant assistance courtesy of your hotel staff from the check-in counter to the concierge to the housekeeping staff and the proximity to the nearest MTR. The price.
Good location, comfortable room, conveneient to MTR and shopping.
Great location - close to train stations and the ferry service to HK Island. Friendly and helpful staff. Room air conditioner was somewhat difficult to control - either too hot or too cold. The room had an odd odour, which may be due to the air conditioning.
It was a very nice place, very clean, and a great location. Staff was really friendly. Only down thing was room size if you were going to spend a lot of time in it, but with the location and restaurants and things to do I didn't.
its in HK best stores area nothing
Politeness, cleanliness, food Television was very old and tv programmes not very easy to access.
The hotel room provided excellent views of the harbour and Hong Kong Island; also very close to shopping and transport facilities
The rooms were beautiful and the connection between our room and the kids room was crucial in allowing the family to have privacy and at the same time, a shared experience. We were near the heart of the city and it was very convenient. The staff were generally pleasant but lacked the warmth that I think is crucial in making things truly memorable.
they have good service and great location the furniture is out model
Location is good. We had Club room at it was big enough for three people. Hotel has terrace with excellent view to HK island. Hotel is getting bit old, there was no wifi in room, TV was small and old.
convenient for shoppings. I do not like the toilet door facing the bed
Position,position,position,..... a little bit old
The Location of this hotel which is close to so many vaital things in the city Nothing specific
Benefits of the club lounge were excellent, food, service and convenience excellent. Excellent central location. Luxurious & high standard hotel. There was a lot of building noise at the pool area as there seemed to be some refurbishing going on on the floor above the pool level and the open windows meant it was hard to relax there.
room facilities, restaurants needs refurbishing
Dinner (in hotel's Italian restuarant) was very nice. Also enjoyed the Lion Dance in the foyer, celebrating Lunar New Year. Found bed too hard. Perhaps bed firmness could be assessed as "Western" or "Chinese", to cater for all preferences.
Size of the room The Internet was slow and expensive
good there are no combs.
river view care for customer
Staff is very friendly. TV is too old.
The shuttle service was impressive, as was the view from our room (1156). The Internet use fees were rather pricey (HK$70/h). We should be able to use it on a 15 min. basis.
value for money.large, clean room.v good shuttle bus service.would stay again! no complaints
room is big hotel servive is average
Spacious room and good service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great Location.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Upgraded room quality of in room food service
The housekeeping called at 7pm to see if I wished to change, replace towels, having changed them at cleaning time earlier. The food service by the pool. The bar is good for food and a drink, staff excellent there and at reception. As usual, wi-fi is extortionate. If you log on with laptop for hotel-wide wifi, you must pay again to use your iPad. So a double dose of v. expensive wifi in the hotel, owned by HW( owners of the '3' telecoms empire). Crazy and annoyingly petty expense. Otherwise, a good standard,4 star. WAY ahead of it's sister, 5* harbour grand, HK side.
I liked the location and the view over the harbour was fabulous. The hotel offered executive lounge facilites at an extra cost, but this was extremly good value for money. Free shuttle bus into the center was very good.
The lobby Staff courtesy and the noise during breakfast
The hotel has a regular shuttle that drops you off in the centre of Kowloon. Based on the reviews we booked this hotel however were disapointed with the location as it was too far from the city centre as we like to be able to walk everywhere.
best location, nearby MTR station, room size is to small,
suttle bus service improvement for suttle bus service e.g. bus always full and some guests left behind
Very beautiful hotel in centeral location to market and near to metro' very clean, also staff was very professional Nothing
always have a nice, comfortable stay. over charged for club level. My fault for not noticing earlier. Was told it would be taken care of but was not.
We had a wonderful harbour view (Hongkong skyline). Hotel is in walking distance to downtown Kowloon and harbour promenade of the stars. Hotel is partially antiquated (carpet, TV, ...). Front desk staff is not very courteous.
Jimmy From the Kitchen Esther from Reception/Checkin Mani From Household Staff Most attentive and Friendly Crew they really understand Customer Service and train their staff Well. A rare find Hong Kong is usually very cold when it comes to customer service that the last day they booked up and I couldn't stay longer lol :) Only issue I had here was with the taxi cabs they will not call local taxis so you have to wait sometimes for oddly long periods of time to get a cab. So Just Use Uber if you stay there because everything else is great!!!
The location is a stone throw away from major shopping malls at Causeway Bay Hong Kong. It has complimentary bus service by Airport Shuttle H2 from Hong Kong station. Room size is good for Hong Kong standard. Gym is in basement 3, not big, but no views, no service staff, but open 24 hrs enter by hotel room key. There is a small pool on 32nd floor roof top with sweeping views. Good thing is via booking.com, you can cancel the booking up to 2 days before the travelling date. You do not pay online and settle the bill directly with the hotel only when you check out of the hotel. The toiletries provided is insufficient and a little stingy. For instance, if previous days toiletries are used partially, chamber maid may not replenish the next day even though you pay for the another day's room night. Quality of shampoo and bath gel is economical and not befitting a 5 star hotel. There is no comb, cotton wool for ladies facial, or cottton buds provided. If you pay for an extra bed, sometimes they forgot to provide 3rd set of towels or complimentary towel. Booking.com does not show the service charge to be imposed which may amount to 10% of room rates quoted. Please budget for that when you settle your bill. It should quote the all in costs to be transparent for travellers.
The location is the best for shopping and eating The amenities in the bathroom didn't change or add such as bar soap.
Nothing First off we booked for 10/21-23 and my email confirmarion and screen shot of booking all confirmed this. When we went to check in , they told us that booking was for 11/4-6. I showed them the confirmation then they told us we needed to take the issue up with kayak. After arguing for 3 hours(i dont give up) they finally gave us the room. The hotel is NOT a 5 star (1star) and the pictures are MISLEADING. Theoughout the stay the staff was awful. The hotel is also filled with mainlanders which makes it extremely noisy and crowded. Avoid avoid avoid. I couldnt take another day so in the end I booked the shangri-la.
ask the staff to fix the bath room , but they never sent staff to fix it . very disppointed.
Hotel a little over-rated and riding a bit off the back of having two of Hong Kongs best restaurants in the same building. Locaion a bit out of the way for most things you might want to see / do. Staff did their best to get me an early check-in as I arrived at 8am. Others arriving just after we less lucky. Location not great but right on the tramline.
My room was very spacious. I did get upgraded but this was much cheaper and just as luxurious as the the grand Hyatt in wan chai. Great location very near the metro and next toVictoria park. Also next to Ding Tai Fung.
Fairly quick check in process (which was also improved since the room was prepaid by booking through Kayak) Easy access via taxi, with a covered drop off/pick up area (great since it rains so much in Hong Kong) 2 complimentary bottles of filtered water Safe in the room didn't work at all, and looked like it had been tampered with Small lobby with a ton of bags left by other guests, with minimal security and the bags out in the open Toilet was chipped and cracked Shower door didn't close fully, and the hot water took forever to come out Overall, pretty shabby decor and facilities for the price paid. I'd recommend Lanson Place Hotel over the Regal for any business travellers.
Huge room for hong kong standards. Real (and huge) paintings in the room and corridors. Good location and excellent price. If you have a lot of baggage, the free shuttle to the airport express line ( hong kong station ) can be very convenient (otherwise subway can be faster) Overpriced dinner buffet....but who care about that in hong kong? a city with so many culinary options
Location of hotel Quality of service. Even the staff serving the executive club floor were not friendly and helpful. Especially the female staff.
Good hospitality It was a little difficult to catch a taxi.
Good value for a good location. Great staff and lovely appearance. Kayak's booking didn't go through and caused a delayed check-in.
Reception and check in not very friendly.
The staff always greeted me by Mr. Adams, they always made sure they knew my name in advance, very impressive !
Comfort and room facilities; fantastic view from a harbourside room; fitness suite and pool; chinese restaurant; choice of foods at breakfast Staff were generally very helpful, but when we returned to collect our baggage which we had left with them on our last day after checkout their attitude had clearly changed and they gave the impression of wanting to get rid of us as quickly as possible. This is a stupid and short-sighted attitude since guests are left with this as their last impression of the hotel. They need to be told that one remains a valued guest even after the money has changed hands for ones room! This will affect my likelihood of staying in a Shangri-La hotel again - at the high room rates one expects top class service, and I have never been treated like this at top Marriotts or Peninsula group hotels. Overall, however, the stay was good.
The Harbour view was uncomparably fantastic If you go there by taxi, most of the drivers were sucks
view, bathroom, location & staff none
Nice room Housekeeping
Great service and excellent location. Everything was thought about and supplied.
Large, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Swimming pool was very small and no out door pool. Location was ok but not great.
the view from the room it's expensive for no international brand
The location is great, only 3 minutes from the MTR I arrived to the hotel at 16:00 after long flight and they told me that my room is not ready and that I will have to wait until 22:00 for room!
Hotel was quiet.
Loved everything The location could be better
the staff are great, the loby of the hotel was very nice the rooms are not spacious, most of all ,the bed is not comfortable at all.
Very friendly and helpful staff
Nearest position for subway Best thing is represented a place yo change our clothes even we've no rm
This is definitely a luxury hotel; it looks and feels like one from the amenities in the room to the lobby and the available restaurants in the building. The location was great because of its proximity to the MTR station, which is one of my personal favorite things about Hong Kong so I didn't mind. It's not within real walking distance of tourist attractions or downtown in Causeway Bay or Central, but the MTR and hotel shuttles make it very easy to get there. The breakfast buffet was particularly good and reasonably priced (compared to American hotels). Seems like a nice place to host a business event. We had a great stay, but a lot of it was due to promotions. Our room had free wifi and we had a special rate since I booked far ahead of time. The wifi signal could be stronger, and the TV channels were a bit limited. There was construction next to the hotel, which somewhat took away from the otherwise nice view of the harbor. The view did have a highway between the room and harbor though, so don't go in expecting a harborfront room.
a very pleasurable stay from checking in to checking out.Outstanding service throughout the hotel nothing
Beautiful looking hotel. I missed my connecting flight and arrived after 1pm on the day of checkout. Staff allowed me to stay until after late checkout with no extra fees and were extremely helpful. Room was well appointed.
Staff was so helpful and friendly. Nice hotel. Wifi signal in room was so weak. Nearly unusable.
Proffessional staff Nothing I didnt like
the view from the room and the top restaurant is great. very small lobby which does not invite you. The chairs at the main restaurant/breakfast area are very bad.
Friendly staff, room is good size consider HK hotel always small room.
Overall experience was good, located in a manageable walking distance from the subway station ( Mong Lok ) and the Ladies Market, about 10-15 minutes. Wasn't really fond of the upper management who visited the poor. Guys usually don't wear rash-guard to swim, but I do, to protect myself from sunburn. They instructed the lifeguard to ask me to remove it. Before this request, I've been swimming several times with it, and it was never an issue with the lifeguard or there's any policy posted regarding the use of rash-guard in the pool. I didn't comply, but it bothers me the lack of understand these managers had with it own policy and appropriate swim wear for a place that is supposed to gear towards hospitality.
Good location easy access to transportation. Very close to Monkok bargain shopping. ConveniENT airport shuttle bus. Fairly complete facility, free WI FI. Room on small side.
Service Service Service the staff try to help and help for all request and special the man in the restaurant door. all OK
Staff is good and helpful, room is comfy and everything works in the bathroom. A little off the way, but the hotel runs a shuttle to Mongkok and Star Ferry.
Nothing Room is so smelling, carpet and furniture are too old. Bathroom is ok. Workers are friendly. But the smell in the room make us headache. They really need a major clean up. I would give this hotel only one star, or even half star.
Close to neighborhood many night market streets vendor..clean ,house keeping best always replace water &bath items for regular use..polite staff. Some removed a receipt from my desk /room/ that had my signatures ,&replace with an on signed one. Of my deposit (500$)to room.I went to front desk..inform them .it should not been taaken.they asure me my deposit still valid.
We stayed over 6 nights at the Metropark Hotel Kowloon. Each and every staff member made us feel welcome and important. They made eye contact, they smiled, they listened. Even though the rooms are not big, they are comfortable, quiet and clean. Another great stay for us. We will be back.
stay there b-4. nice location. staff very helpful. carpet need better cleaning
The Mira is different, standing out from the crowd due to it's designer look & outstanding staff. Put in on an MTR Station & it would be sublime. Note: Chief concierge from the Grand Melborne..enough said. Noise - Hotel rebuilding with jack-hammer noise during day - Don't plan to be in hotel during the day.
The rooms were, if anything, nicer and more comfortable than they looked on the web site albeit a little smallish but HK standard size. The staff were professional and very helpful both on check in and out. I was very impressed with the technology in the rooms including a wireless keyboard that controls the computer on the TV screen. Breakfasts in the restaurant and on the club floor were very nice indeed. No complaints other than cost which is also HK style Cable reception on the large LCD was grainy at best but everything else was great
Great hotel , fantastic gym loved the suite and the bathroom
The staff in the club floor are very professionals, always offering to help and assist.Excellent customer service.
Fabulous spa, great food and incredibly nice and helpful staff. Great location and the rooms are top notch.
staff very good no internet access is the rooms, not good for this level of hotel
I thourght it was good value for the standerd of room I had chosen, the location was very central to everything I needed to see & do. No I was happy!
Amenities were great. Design was good. Location was great for tourism/shopping. Waited a really really long time for a room. Promised us a room then we waited and waited after a long flight. Said they'd come to us randomly in 3 minutes. Had to repeatedly ask for room which we received at long last a little after 3 pm. ( arrived before noon) Then we had to wait an extra hour for them to find our luggage and bring it to the room. This meant a lot of lost time when time was of the essence in our trip. So, plan for this. Otherwise a great place. A lot of waiting in the cafe resto too. Hotel bar was top!
Rooms very old in style and decor, needs a rebuild ,
every thing, it is the best hotel i have been nothing
Location and big room
The hotel location is fantastic and the atmosphere is great
it was a family trip and v really enjoyed staying here, very close to shopping area and harbur....
Congratulations on one of your staff, Mrs Mandy Tsang at the help desk, very polite and extremely helpfull!!
the hotel location, facilitis and the good service
The hotel staff are not expert , hotel rooms are not clean
Great staff anf great service N/A
Executive loung very poor
This was a hotel we have not stayed at before but the staff made you feel important and welcome. Highly recommended and would stay there again. We were very impressed with the Grand Stanford's Club Lounge area and the staff there. They even remember you by name.
Location was really nice, very close to shopping area and so on. We were forced to wait for long time to check-in but efforts on recovery to that failure was nice.
Loacation, and luxury - right in the middle of Hong KOng with a gret buffet
The staff was incredibly helpful especially Kitty Ting. All of our needs were met.
Location, location, and location you have to pay for the internet
Spectacular location; hotel staff very professional and friendly. Overall good services.
Sraff attitude and attention to detail. Can do attitude Price of food and beverages are exhorbiyant and a limiing factor to full enjoyment of the facility
Location and service. Restaurant timetable. It finish very soon.
Convenient location on the end of Nathan Road TST
I have stayed many times at this Holiday Inn but think now that it is a little over priced given that it is over 30 years old hotel and the area where it is located is not that good anymore but it is still a nice hotel and I would stay there again.
the staff was not at all helpful, said you booked thru booking.com, so i would get the lowest category room, even though they have diff lower class rooms,
Location Alowed late check out - 4pm Good selection of day trips - recommend Check in too long, but in the end did get the correct room (non smoke) and bed (double) Did not reply to my email on transport from the airport Pool too cold
Very conveniently located on Nathan road close to everything.
higher pricing in comparision with its hotel condtiion
Location Very old decoration
The Hotel was organized; it must have a very good manager The Bed was very clean but the room esp. the floor was not very much clean. I think the Hotel needs renovation.
Staff were very accommodating to our request.
shopping, having dinner, and relax at excutive club
The hotel staff were well trained, all they have good manner.
It was discreet and all staff were very friendly. It realyy needs a facelift - the sofas were dirty and it needed a good clean.
The location is ideal for city tourism, Breakfast and breakfast-facilities are first class, superb. Humidity smell in the room, which was partially solved by opening the windows.
North Point location. It is not in the main tourist areas (Causeway Bay or Tsim Sat Tsui) but, for me, it is ideally located and very convenient. Transportation via MTR, tram or bus is just a short walk away and a lot of local restaurants nearby. For the first couple of days there was some construction on our floor and even right next door but only during the day.
very nice and comfortable rooms
The staff were very helpful and happy to help, which was very much appreciated, especially as we were travelling with out twin 3 year olds. Free water & the free extra bed in the room was great.
Location Staff attitude and service
overall an excellent hotel location. it's hard to get a taxi at the hotel
It is conveniently located however the lobby area is small and noisy. The room rate is reasonable.
The location was great to get around in Hong Kong. Some staff members were not to helpful
I stayed for a week and was pleased overall. Decent room size for a Hong Kong hotel. There was a nice king sized bed and the hotels location was ideal. I will be going back.
The facilities are just amazing. Clean, organized. The bathroom really clean! Overall amazing The check in process could be better
I am totally dissatisfied with City Garden Hotel Hong Kong. It is not value the money and should disqualify this is the 3 star only. Staff in facilities are very very impolite and cannot speak English. I shall not recommend my friend to stay here.
Very comfortable room, awesome view of Kowloon Smelled like smoke or incense or something on my floor, can hear everything in the hallway but it's quiet as far as outside noise goes
clean, good breakfast, enjoyed the phone which helps you go around the city rooms are too small, noise from outside if you don't have a high floor
*Affordable hotel *lovely local neighborhood *concierge were very polite *modern decor *staff have poor English skills * room service diddnt knock before walking in to our room on two occasions *breakfast buffet was fairly disappointing, restaurant staff more interested in talking with each other than serving customer's. *reception staff messed up our room payment *ruined our trip - left Hong Kong on an earlier flight.
Staff was very helpful and considerate. Reservation department was very responsive to inquiries and requests. Breakfast was good and included in price. Room was a bit small.
I liked the cleanliness, and it's well maintained. But the best part was the staff! They were very good...professional, and the front desk and concierge spoke english very well. The location is either love or hate. I loved it because it wasn't in the touristy areas, but yet 10 mins walk from Mong Kok. I stayed in 3 hotels in Hong Kong and so far this is my favorite! The value for the money is OUTSTANDING for the city!!! The decor was modern and very attractive. And I really did love the neighborhood it was in...just real and authentic Hong Kong people living their lives and you get to be part of all that action. At the end of the day, just outside the Mong Kok station, there is a small park with little asian older ladies doing Tai Chi until 11PM, and I would just sit there and watch as I rested my sore feet. And it was just very peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are small, but it's to be expected. Beds are harder than western traveler's maybe used to. And it's about a 10 min walk to the MTR train stations. So after a long day of walking, it's not very convenient, but they do have a hotel shuttle running to a few of the nearby stations and other locations. You just have to catch it at the right time, or you'll have to wait another hour.
Great look at the harbour, especially from the pool on the roof, and main restaurant Massage service is not available immediately, should be scheduled in advance, not convenient for short stay
Excellent harbor views and skilled, service oriented staff.
the view was fantastic fitness center was close too early
View of Harbour View Room, which is unique and breathtaking Size of Room, which is rare in Hongkong Health Spa, which has very good massagists Concierge, which is very helpful and friendly we found on two separate stays, that Room Service is extremely slow and tends to forget ordered items. It took us up to half an hour (!) for a cup of coffee. Check out procedures may take a long time (also up to 30 minutes), because of lack of front desk stations and sometimes large queues of people who want to check out at the same time
Room was very nicely appointed. Lobby is very large and nice. View of the Harbour is impressive. Taxis come by frequently. The harbor path is good for running and looking at the sea. Lack of power ports. Hotel is not located near downtown Kowloon. Local restaurant selections are fewer than downtown. The hotel buffet for dinner and breakfast are expensive, but I did not find them worth the price.
pool on roof top i am member since 2001 but still nobody can explain me what is my benefit
view from the room and roof top swimming pool - fantastic Would have liked to have been able to have a later check out or room to have been made available for changing when flight is in evening.
attentive and friendly staff, excellent location with superb views, especially from the roof top swimming pool. breakfast and evening buffets started clearing away exactly on time - could have waited 10 mins!
liked the beautiful views from the lobby' nothing except I couldnt get an upgrade to a harbour view for lack of rooms
The hotel has beautiful harbour view, our rooms are spacious and comfortable, it's my dad's first time in HK, I am happy that I impressed him nicely by choosing this hotel.
View Rooms smell, out dated and over priced
Excellent Staff and location Nothing
Big nice rooms, big comfortable bed. Size of room compared to price etc is good-value. un-reasonably expensive internet fee, bathroom not so well cleaned, breakfast buffe was not so good.
good location a liitle bit run down
Room was just TOO SMALL! I felt I was in a cage.
Location, good value
the location of the hotel
Everything really. The Concierge staff were the most helpful I have ever encountered. I would especially like to compliment you on Judy Yu, who really went out of her way to assist me with airport issues. No, it's just great!!
location hotels in HK are expensive
only the location .! the room is not very good and the price is to much for this room.
Location, comfort, accessability, ammenities paying for internet service is outdated
Staff very friendly & helpful. Deluxe room was spacious. Restaurant & Cafe very good. Close to harbour walk & restaurants. Good location over all. Only complaint was room carpet very stained & in need of cleaning.
friendly and efficient concercierge and staff in general
services & facilities not as good as previous years. hotel run down.
A lot of lifts available for guests so practically didnt have to wait long for a ride. It has been remodeled & the rooms are the same size but newer carpet, bathroom. Very conveniently located
Staff were helpful and room was always made up whenever requested.
very close to the downtown center shopping mall no swimming pools
The CD player in the room is very nice, I happened to buy a disk before I got there, I loved the music and the night view outside the window is goreiouse! Brekafast is not quite good and it is not worth the price they charge!
We loved our room with the view of the park and harbour. It was also close to good shopping and the railway station. The bed and bathroom were very clean and modern. We did not realize it did not have a pool but this didn't matter as the weather was cool.
The additional charge for internet use in your room is disappointing, particularly with the high cost of accommodation in the hotel.
Central locality, near Times Square and all business centres. Honesty of housekeeping staff, they returned me some monies left behind. Front Office is too jammed and efficiency doubtful.
close to shopping area hotel too old
The view from the room is exceptional, just for the novelty of being able to say you've stayed at the tallest hotel in the world is pretty neat. The club level is smaller than it shows in pictures i've seen, but is never too crowded. Igor is one handsome man. location, a little removed from everythig
Everything was perfect Nothing
