The friendliness of the charming staff and the clean, comfortable rooms
No gripes at all. My friend and I love Kipps
Well equipt kitchen. About 30 minute walk from Canterbury Cathedral (well worth a visit). Lounge with a big-screen TV. Allowed to use one of the two reserved parking spaces on my second night. Power point at every bed.
Shower - difficult to control the temperature and low water flow Kitchen closes after 11am until 2pm, so not available to cook lunch Curtains of the room was too small for the window
Lovely clean big room. Reasonable price and friendly staff, who met us despite late time. Only 30 mins from Dover ferry port. Thanks for the stay.
Not a fault with the hotel but limited car parking so you will have to park on the street (£4 per 24 hours)
Super friendly and helpful staff that made me feel very welcome. The hostel is in a house very close to the city centre, the coach and train stations. Everything inside is incredibly clean and tidy. There are several common rooms, a nice kitchen and a small garden. They took care of all the little details, they even left a toffee with several leaflets in the bed (which was very comfortable). Totally recommended.
They close the bedrooms durinng a couple of hours for the cleaning. Sometimes i missed having another toilet in the room, as there was only one for everybody.
Tiny room, but its actually great not to pay for space you don't use as a solo traveler and still have an own room. Everything was there. An own sink, towels, tea/coffee facilities, a foldable chair. And for a very good price. The room and the hostel in general were very clean. The bathroom is shared, but clean. All for a good price. This was the second time I stayed here and if ever I come to Canterbury again, I will definitely stay here again.
The matrass is a bit soft and offers no support especially in the middle (but I've seen far worse in other places). A tiny room with the sun on it in the afternoon/evening does get rather hot in summer - no AC, though there was a fan. There are dorms and family rooms close by and the walls are thin, so it can get noisy. There is a 'keep quiet between 11-8 policy though, and I was glad to find this is not a party hostel. They do this weird thing where they wrap the duvet around the bed sideways, which means to sleep under it you have to take it out, and at the top of the duvet the clean linnen has been in between a not very clean mattress and bed. That's less clean.
