The two women working there were full of energy, helpful and could not have been more friendly! Loved the place, breakfast and location!
I loved the friendliness of the owners, they were very helpful and arranged for us to leave our car in a parking area after we had checked out so we could enjoy our day. The location was fabulous, a short walk only a few minutes to the centre of Cheltenham. The room was beautiful and big for a twin and the breakfast tasted wonderful. Definitely recommend and would stay again if I’m in the area.
Big smile to welcome us and generous hospitality
There was nothing we didn’t like
The service provided at this hotel was exemplary. Staff were proactive in giving detailed local information relevant to the interests of each guest (in my case, directions to the PIttville Pump Rooms, as well as telling me about the statue of Gustav Holst in Imperial Gardens). Breakfast was fresh and filling with plenty of choice (including vegetarian options). Room was well furnished (including an electric fan and several choices of coffee and tea) and clean. Private bathroom was very close to room in corridor, and could be locked from inside and/or outside. Hotel also has a lounge area for guests, with a selection of books, brochures, and magazines available for perusal. This hotel is located very centrally, with good bus connections to surrounding areas (the main bus interchange is on the Promenade, although there is also the 99 bus, which has a stop a very short walk away). It should be noted that Cheltenham Spa railway station is some distance to the west of the town centre (it took me about half-an-hour to walk from there with a suitcase; for those who prefer not to walk that distance, there are plenty of buses and taxis -- staff can provide information and/or make taxi bookings). If visiting Cheltenham in the future, I would happily stay at this hotel again.
Although Bath Parade (the street on which the hotel is located) was peaceful, the vicinity has a number of pubs that played loud amplified music late at night (I was staying over the weekend). Also, the window of the room was aligned quite directly with a powerful LED streetlamp that was on all night, meaning that, notwithstanding the substantial curtains, the room was uncomfortably light for sleeping. Fortunately, a blindfold and earplugs were among the items provided in the room.
Breakfast was excellent and the location was perfect for our needs; we were in Cheltenham for the Cricket Festival, so a five minute stroll. We were very well treated by the owners, who were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of very fine restaurants and pubs nearby.
Nothing springs to mind.
