Younger guests can use the children’s playground. Kigamboni ferry is 8 km, while Dar es Salaam Zoo and Dar es Salaam city centre are about 8 km away. Hotel South Beach has an in house DJ who plays local and international music hits on the weekends and on public holidays from the afternoon until late along with entertainment such as acrobats, dancers and children's entertainment.

Pros (+) Manager paid for our taxi to airport to try to make ammends for the broken air-con in room, said the normal rate is $50, when we knew the local rate is $25-30 for that journey.
Cons (-) Thought we would treat ourselves on last night of holiday and have a nice swimming pool to use on our last morning.. Hotel is located miles away and not in the location my maps.me app said it was- 8km more southerly than expected- got lost on a dirt track for 1 hour looking for it.
