we were thrilled to get an upgrade to a suite upon arrival. the front desk staff was wonderful - taking some time to make sure our stay was exceptional. We can't wait to return to Mohegan Sun.
Entertainment big plus/ Security checking room cards, staff Bathroom cleanliness with hair over shower wall
Very convenient to the casino. Quite pricey.
great place will come back again...way too far away though no
The valet parking staff went thru the stuff at the back seat of my car.
the overall service and accommodations
Clean, big room, very nice maid, check-in was quick, early, and painless check-out was not so easy or quick or painless, actually almost ruined our stay
The staff were very efficient and pleasant. We had all questions answered promptly and with a smile.
Dinner at Michael Jordan's was Excellent! Too much smoke - need to increase the 'smoke free areas in the casino or at least have the smoke free closer to the hotel lobby so you do not smell it when you are shopping or eating in the main area.
clean, quiet, upscale decor, great pillows and mattress, healthy and delicious breakfast, very friendly staff Need a platform somewhere in the room to place luggage
The staff was fabulous. They were very efficient, courteous and friendly. Our king bed room also had a small kitchen and sitting area and the room was very clean. They also have a wonderful free continental breakfast that included french toast and Egg McMuffin style sandwiches. There is a free shuttle to the Casino, but we drove over ourselves as it is only about a mile away and a quick drive to the Mohegan Sun Casino/Arena. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
Hotel was clean, comfortable and decor was simple. Asking $3.50 for a small bottle of water is robbery. Lobby is inviting, breakfast is decent, although coffee isn't that good. We got an extended check out which was nice too. The front staff were morons. They told me there would be no "hold fee" on my credit card (I asked the gentleman three times to be clear and he clearly told me no) and I found out at check out they dish old $50. When I spoke to the girl at check out that I was misinformed, she smiled and shrugged her shoulders and said nothing. That was infuriating. I would have liked a "there must have been a miscommunication". She had no clue about anything. The shuttle service is a joke. They have 1 can that holds 20 people max (if that even) and we had to sit on laps to make he midnight shuttle. They charhe$3.50 for a small bottle of water! Even by NYC standards, that's a lot.
Large rooms, a lot of space. Bathrooms were dirty. Not renovated like the rest. Tiles broken in shower, no handlebar. Dirty tiles
Pillows and mattress are the best! I could not control the room temperature. It was very cold for our taste. There was a thermostat, but it did not work.
I love the rooms and the service Everything was grrat
Clean and decent size rooms with separate sitting area , awesome . This will be he place where I'll stay when I do return to visit . Thanks
Located 5 min away from Mohegan Sun w a shuttle running every 30 min until midnight. If you plan on returning after midnight taxi was $7 for the two of us. The free breakfast was good w lots of selection. It does get busy and if u cannot find seating you can ask for a to go box to bring breakfast up to your room. The kitchen is open 24 hours so if you are looking for a midnight snack you can order from your room and go downstairs to pick it up when it's ready. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby, cafe area and rooms were updated and kept very clean. We got a room w two queen beds and it was much larger then expected. There was a good sized sitting area w a pullout couch and the room was able to to sleep 6 people. Overall a great place. I have a bad back and the bed was too soft for my liking but my 16 y/o daughter thought they were very comfortable. It was a little pricey totaling about $235 a night. The prices may have been inflated since we were there for a concert.
We always enjoy our stay. Everything always goes smoothly. Price is fantastic so is the staff. Nice n quiet n very comfy. This one time though we had to switch rooms because we found hair under sheets n bathroom floor. This never happened before n got moved right away to a clean room.
All rooms are kind of like suites, with a separate sitting area and sleeping area.
I stayed there for 2 nights, the first night was fine, the room was very nicely appointed and comfortable. However, the second night there was a group of very loud, rowdy partyers in the room next to mine who started making a ton of noise at 2 am. I waited a bit to see if Security would step up and fix it, but until I called at 2:45 no one did anything. I will give them points for a fast response, but within minutes of them leaving, the noise started again. I think they could have stayed around a bit longer to make sure it didn't start again.
We loved the view from our room on the 30th floor (top floor). If I were to do it again though I would reccomend future guests to ask for a "woods view". The bed was extremely comfortable & the bathroom was spacious complete with a glass enclosed shower and separate toilet area. Unless you were to use your Foxwoods points Kayak was a much better deal. It was better than the quoted nightly rate (w/ AAA discount applied) that I received from the hotel itself. Also the newest addition to the casino, Tanger Outlets, has an entrance very close by. It's to the right of the small food court & you can't miss the Broadway inspired marquee sign. If you or whoever you're traveling with are shoppers then this is definitely the place to visit. Stop by the Information counter first to inquire about their coupon books for additional $ savings if that interests you. I didn't like the additional up charges from the property $19.49 per night extra & $100 (refundable) security deposit. It felt like I was getting nickel & dimed before I even got to my room. Then come to find out the pool on property is seasonal & the only other one on property is inside the GSpa located on a lower level. So I go there with my girlfriend & there's another charge; $15 a piece for day passes to access the spa ($25 for non hotel guests). I mean what the hell DOES the resort fee cover then? The only other point (for which I removed one star) is location. Fox Tower (formerly MGM Grand) is a hike from the main gambling options & action @ Foxwoods. Although there are slots, table games, multiple dining options & a nightclub right downstairs the real heart of the casino (in my opinion) is on the other side. It's a lengthy walk or grab the free shuttle that transports guests all over the property (every 10-15 minutes from hotel lobby). Overall though, we had a great stay at the property & the likes definitely outweigh the dislikes. Just good to know all the fine print & details before you get there so I figured I'd share.
Views, comfort and amenities I asked for a non smoking room because I have a respiratory issue. Even though the room had no ashtrays and the sign in the hall said no smoking it was obviously a smoking room recently. There were no other rooms available. At checkout I complained and they acknowledged that the floor had recently been changed to non smoking. Unfortunately, I was sick for 3 days after checking out... If it wasn't for that, our stay was wonderful.
The location was great I stood on the 17th floor the view wastory amazing. I literally paid next to nothing for the room which was very clean and organized. The mini fridge in the room wasn't a mini bar so you could keep your own beverages cold. Pillows we're nice usually you have those hotel Pillows that give no support to your head these were a nice change. Upon walking in all you smell is smoke since a majority of the casinos allow smoke. I tagged it adult only because I would want to bring kids into an environment like that.
I always stay at the Fox Tower when visiting Foxwoods. I find there to be less children and family running around because it is not directly near the outlets . Love playing the slots here and black jack tables are not always super crowded . Great spare of the moment trip on a Thursday because hotel prices are not to bad . Hotel check in is always so slow Everytime I go besides that Fox Tower is my favorite.
The spa is amazing The restaurant selections were same. Not really healthy options The wait for housekeeping and them not showing up was unacceptable at 500.00 a night.
The location The lack of cleanliness on the beds ans furniture. Nobody wants to lay there head on other people's hair. I was moved and the next room had stains on the couch and a bit less hair on the bed than the one before. My family member had the same issue in the other room we rented.
The hotel package we used for the weekend there was well worth it. Even though our time was spent roaming around and exploring as many places as possible it was nice to return back to the Fox Tower. We also met a guy by the name of Michael H. Gaudreau and he is the Concierge Representative. Very awesome guy! He helped us out with our bus information and was very welcoming and calm during a stressful situation. Time flies when you're having fun. :(
The G spa was great. That it is ecpensive on the weekends
The resturants were amazing and so were the waitstaff I didn't like the view of the tanger outlets roof especially when it was our one year wedding anniversary an asked for a nice view. Also the room was very small.
Great time!!! I wanted to win more money lol....
I went with a group of friends for a friend's birthday. The concierge was amazing! They wrote "Happy Birthday" on the window and gave us complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries. Scorpion bar had excellent food and an awesome $7 sangria deal for Sunday night. The comedy club (right next door) also had an awesome beer deal ($20 all-you-can-drink). The entire complex was huge! There were so many different areas to explore. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was pretty expensive, especially for a Sunday night. The experience was well worth it though!
Comfortable beds, jacuzzi in room, seemed over all clean. Stand up shower is tiny and outdated. Cheap and skimpy on toiletries. Did not have extras like razors or tooth paste. (not even for sale) Also only provided 2 in 1 shampoo / conditioner. Wish the shuttle ran later. Staff was borderline ruse, but kept enough to make a huge issue.
Close to Foxwoods Worn down room. Expensive.
We got to check in at 11 am. Close to foxwoods, free shuttle Website said free continental breakfast but it was not true.
Very friendly and informative staff.
Cleanliness and quietness -
Jacuzzi Tacky Italian decor
The room and arrive was great I'd def book there again Noisy neighbors
Jacuzzi tub was definitely worth the money. It looked like Caesar's in Atlantic City, except much more personable. Had a leak right outside our room, but we're glad it was outside and not inside the room. Breakfast was not included.
Little to no water pressure (they provided a written explanation as to why this was at check in, but it would have been nice to have this information up front when booking the hotel room). Rooms weren't very clean, the bathrooms didn't even have a counter or anywhere to put your toiletries, and the shower had no barrier to prevent water from spilling onto the bathroom floor. The TV remote didn't work either.
I spent a little extra on this hotel because it got good reviews and I will pay a little more for quality. I was grossly disappointed with this hotel. We pulled in, and were literally the only car in the hotel parking lot - and it was midnight. There was no hot water for a shower in the room so we suffered through freezing cold showers. When we checked out, we told them about the cold water and they just made a bunch of excuses as to why the water was cold without any apologies or reimbursement. A truly poorly managed hotel.
Fantastic location, friendly staff, offer a basic but very good breakfast.(No eggs but waffles, fruit, yogurt, choice of breads and pastry, crisp hot and oatmeal, juice, coffee etc. The room's are laid out well spacious island with microwave above fridge below, mini Sink and plenty if counter space. The fan/ heater had a fan only constant option that I like for white noise. The beds were very comfortable! Usually I don't sleep all the first night, no problems here. We had a suite. The hotel wad nIce and quiet. The room was very clean upon arrival, as was the hotel in general. The only reason I didn't leave four stars for cleanliness was the maid didn't empty and clean the coffee machine( extremely minor). There werer HUGE mirrors as back boards behind both beds which kind of me seemed a little weird. They made the room feel bigger though so I just dressed with My back to them...Lol.
The staff was noticeably friendlier and more efficient than some at other hotels. Check-in person was genuine. Bar and restaurant staff was also efficient and friendly. Room was comfortable; bathroom is small but efficient.
Shuttle service to the casino was extremely convenient.
Hot tube was nice but wish the pool was open The pool was closed
The whirlpool tub was amazing! There was not a thing I didn't like!
A mile from Foxwoods! Breakfast served until 11:40. Bar in hotel. Very large room and bathroom. Toiletries like makeup remover wipes in the bathroom ! Dunkin donuts across the street. Small TV. We may have gotten a handicap room but we enjoyed the space.
Overall fine for the one night stay. Clean, comfortable room. Decent free breakfast. Good channel lineup. Smokey hallway, but room itself was fine.
Price was reasonable, and staff helpful. Close to I-95. Ground floor room very noisy from squeaky floor in room above - could hear every footstep. Busy on Saturday nights, wi-if poor.
The staff was very warm and helpful. The room was clean and housekeeping kept it that way each day. No exercise room as advertised on the site. The pool had so much chlorine I had to buy eye drops for my family. much noise upstairs over our room all night long. Stains in the hall carpet.
Close to the parks and attractions in the area The room smelled musty.
Room was clean, basic. Breakfast was good, something for everyone included fresh fruit nice touch. Was only about 25 min from Mohegan. Mystic Aquri. very close, Mystic Seaport right down the road Needs a little updating, they need to pay a little bit more attention to the little things, like frig needed to be deiced, and the note book should have been checked, ripped pages and coffee stained. Overall the room was good. Had a nice stay, would stay there again.
Run down...Price we pd was higher than others pd. The staff was great and the rooms we clean. The place was just run down.
Cleanliness, room equipped with everything needed. Overall good place to stay. Separate sink from bathroom- should have both in and out of bathroom. No extra blankets in room. No eggs or peanut butter for continental breakfast.
the rooms where ok the bed was nice to sleep on. the tv would not go past 20 for volume so it was hard to hear and the tv location was bad
i had something happen to me i made a reservation and lost the money
I found everything barely adequate
Not a bad place to stay for a overnight visit. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. What more do you need?
Ease from I-95, comfortable, value, breakfast. We didn't use the pool but it looked inviting. Shower repair job looked unskilled. At check in the host gave our room number audibly.
Beautiful room with a couch! Bed was so comfortable that we slept in and missed breakfast. Excellant shower pressure! Wish breakfast ran later than 9am. No microwave in the room. Shower room with toilet was a bit tight getting in and out. Not very many TV channels and TV kept shutting off by itself after about an hour and half.
Loved the clean and spacious room. Bathroom was immaculate! Staff was friendly and very helpful too. Perfect getaway with my daughter. It can be tought to please an 18 year old girl but my daughter loved the Hyatt. The 2 of walki Misquamicut beach every winter and then spend the night at the Hyatt. Already looking forward to next year! Nothing. All was great!
Staff was super awesome
The desk staff were very courteous and accomodating. The wait staff in the restaurant and bar were superb. The room was lovely. No view from room windows. Byop. Bring Your Own Pillows. The pillows provided were horrible; no support at all.
view was nice, comfortable, clean, free wireless, but there seemed to be a limit on number of devices? we ordered room service and it was late....not sure the eggs were eggs either, suspected they were egg substitute or eggs in a carton or some such thing. more creamers needed for coffee....television sounds travelled from neighboring rooms....would have preferred an included continental breakfast in the dining area.
Good breakfast, friendly staff, convenient location to casinos and RI beaches
We looked forwarded to a nice meal on New's Years Eve and they had a terrible menu. We (8) had agreed on the Kobe steak and they did not have it on the menu. The 3 selections were not normal meals. After complaining we had to leave because of the lack of care by the restaurant bar managers attitude. As a traveler who frequents the Hilton chain it reinforces my decision to stay with the Hilton chain.
They had absolutely no record of my reservation booked through your website. i got nervous, they had also never heard of you, but the staff called your company phone number (England! i was surprised) and they were of course not open (7pm est) They did however find us a room and upgraded us to a suite w/jacuzzi at the rate listed on my copy of the reservation i printed off the computer. I was
Nice quiet hotel. Near the casinos but not too near!
Mariah checked us in and I was blown away by the customer service she provided. She had an extra room available so she upgraded us, provided us with a few toiletries that we forgot instead if having to buy them in the store, and gave us free Buffett breakfast vouchers. She called the restaurant personally to book our dinner reservation (which we could have done ourselves but it was amazing how she just jumped in with "I'll call for you no problem") every time we passed the counter she greeted us by name and the most impressive part was when she called our room around 6 to see if we needed anything else before she headed out for the evening. I was just floored by her service and how genuine she was. I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know and will for sure be back again. Nothing.
Very nice and close to the town of Mystic and close to the two casinos
I needed to move the reservation 1 day due to severe weather but Priceline and Hampton Inn were unable to accommodate.
I loved how quick and easy check in was! The staff was very welcoming and answered all of my questions. The rooms were nice and clean, had the perfect size television. The bed was extremely comfortable. Delicious hot breakfast was included until 10am. Check out was 11 so after breakfast we still had plenty of time to check out on time. It was just an all around great stay! Because of all of the snow parking was limited. We had to circle around for a couple of minutes before finally parking in the last parking spot. But again snow is not something the staff can control.
Nice and clean hotel. Inconvenient location without a car. Some receptionists don't seem to like their jobs... few were nice.
Clean and comfortable, with a very friendly staff.
Location was convenient and hotel was perfect!
clean, easy access, good breakfast nothing
The beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. Hotel rooms were clean. Had trouble getting into our rooms our keys didn't work so the lady had to give us a new set of keys. We told the lady at the front desk that it was probably the door and if its possible to just switch our rooms. She refused and gave us new card to try and that one didn't work. Our stuff was locked in the room the lady had to come up to our room and try it herself and it wouldn't work so she had to go back downstairs to get this machine thing that opens the doors but she couldn't see what she was doing because she didn't have her glasses so my friend had to help her smh worst experience ever eventually we were able to get into the room and they gave us new room. I map quest the address to see how far foxwoods was it said it was 10 minutes away but it was more like 20 minutes.
Being able to bring my pet was a major bonus. We didn't have to worry about leaving our dog alone and the rooms were very clean and spacious! The staff was very friendly and courteous and the breakfast in the morning was awesome! The beds were a little bit too hard
Big room, comfy bed. The fact that the hotel sent a free shuttle bus to pick us up from the station (3 miles away). The decor is the room was a little outdated.
Nice room, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated
reasonably priced, rooms were clean wish there was a breakfast buffet included in the hotel stay
Location in proximity to attractions and hwy. The room was clean and the staff was excellent. The decor was very disappointing for a Hilton hotel. The barroom walls were a very outdated nauseating yellowish gold. The size of the bathroom was very small. The room all together seemed very minimalistic for the price.
The room , a mini suite, was beautiful and the bed was so comfortablr. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was near all local attractions, including both Casinos. I would definitely stay there again No fan in the bathroom
Great value! Reception desk staff greeted me as I was still approaching the desk. Professional hospitality, great facility, in great condition, in a fantastic location. Would definitely return. Nothing.
very comfortable beds
The hotel was very convenient to get to and from. It was amazingly quiet, despite being full of people and events!! Very comfy, and I'd recomend it highly! I like a firmer pillow, it'd be nice if they had various "kinds".
The servers at breakfast were excellent, as was the omlet chef and the food in general. The cleaning service didn't clean our roomvery thoroughly daily.
it was close to everything in town the gym smells like the pool
The size if the room was perfect. The bed was very comfy. It was a short distance to both Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. The Mystic Aquarium was with in walking distance as was the Old Mystic Plaza. All in all it was a great stay and I would recommend it to a friend. We did not like that there wasn't a shuttle, car service or limo service to the Casino Resorts. For the price this feature should be included as well as a free Continental Breakfast.
Really cool room, got it on a off day at a low price. Don't listen to the complainers, just know that it's an old fashioned room going into it. Comes with a usable fireplace, great sunlight, also a free bottle of wine, cheese, and exceptional breakfast Nothing at all, great value.
cool place, a struggle to get luggage up the narrow stairs, but it is a nicely refurbished ancient inn
Charming, old inn. Each room had it's own log for visitors to put an entry in just as they once did in 1771. Yet had all the benefits of the Residence Inn behind it, pool, free breakfast, etc. Was better than we expected. Nothing!
The casino shuttle and waffle maker in the morning make this place! Less then half what you pay to stay at foxwoods. I'd definitely go back. Nothing I can think of.
Room was better than expected for money we paid. Room was very clean and queen beds were comfortable. The staff/service is terrible. We booked the shuttle to a casino for 930pm but when we arrived 5 minutes early they left us while claiming the people from our room had already boarded the shuttle. They had no way of verifying and making sure the right people boarded. My girlfriend had to wait in -2 degree weather for th next shuttle. Also there's breakfast until 11am amd we arrived at 1055 to get something quick to eat for the ride back and they said it had already closed. Why say it's opened until 11am but close earlier than the advertised time. Entire staff and manager seemed unorganized and unprofessional.
