very nice characteristic building; beautiful view from the dining room across the country side
The breakfast was excellent. The views and area were lovely.
Unfortunately, we feel we need to highlight that, the webpage shows a bar which, did not exist. There was also no restaurant on site which again is suggested on the web pages. The building is going through some major refurbishment and therefore, begs the question as to whether guests should still be booking this facility during these works. The carpet in our room was badly stained. The shower is in the bath and there is no curtain/screen also, there was no water pressure. Although, our room was very large it was old and somewhat shabby lacking a welcoming feel. I dont believe that we received value for money given the above.
We enjoyed our stay and were warmly welcomed. The owners are currently renovating and as such the carpet in our room was definitely not up to scratch and very tired, stained and worn. The bathroom was simple. They did tell us that the room still had to be done, but only when we'd already checked in. The beds were extremely good.
Nice restaurant for dinner and breakfast
Wifi Connection in the room was not that strong.
The building looks like a lovely period building, there is also ample parking onsite. Nice shampoo mini's by Rituals.
The entire Inn smells like a deep fat fryer, especially the room we stayed in. The clothes that we had with us smelled like they had been hanging in the kitchen above the fryer after our stay. In addition, I booked without breakfast. However, as it was a while ago, i didn't think about it when we were asked what time we would like out breakfast. However, having known we would be charged €16.50 per person for it, I would've declined the offer. I found it inappropriate that we were charged this amount, without ever having been told the price. To summarise: I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay at "de Os en het Paard". Not even if it was the exact location they are looking for something. Especially that the entire place smelled like a frying pan put me off, with the finishing touch being our experience with the extravagant charge for the breakfast.
