Proximity to beach. Good pool The spa staff were not up to the job and appeared not interested. Very poor English spoken.
The hotel is modern and efficient ,the staff are courteous and helpful , the range and standard of food is excellent particularly the sushi.
We were there during the off season with only a few people. It was marvelous. The decor in the lobbies is beautiful being filled with green plants, even olive trees. The garden and pool area is just stunning. The food was good. We were surprised to find eggs available at the breakfast buffet, which is unusual in Spain. The coffee at breakfast was mediocre.
hotel was in a beautiful location, everything was very formal. No entertainment of any sort. staff had no idea how to deal with non english speaking people
The hotel, gardens and pool area are attractive, well contructed and well maintained. Beach great for long walks. Free Wifi. Very dissapointed that hotel attempted to charge 25% higher room rate upon arrival due to the age of one child. Attitude of reception staff and managment very dissapointing. Was a very bad start to the 5 night stay. Food quality in restaurant not good. For size of hotel the restaurant was over crowded, even in September. Spa more or less useless. Drinks far too expensive. Elavators overcrowded. Parking too expensive.
the swiming poll wasn't very clean.
Outdoor pool was fantastic, proximity to the beach, excellent breakfasts No tea/coffee making facilities in the room Extra charge for the sauna/steam room
Room was nicely decorated and equipped; a la carte food; next to beach; staff were pleasant; overall good value for money Food a bit pricey
Patient staff, amazing lobby leading into beautiful gardens, breakfast selection, secure access to beach
The ants in the room!!!!!The swimming pool was very dirty. The childrens pool should not of been open to the public because of Black Algae!!!!
scenery, location lack of english tv channels
The weather and the food. Uncomfortable bed! Poor driving range. Only 18 out of 27 holes were open, so restricted golf.
Good place No doctor in the hotel. My girlfriend didn't fell good and the receptionist told me he could not call a doctor because too late (7 PM!) and to wait on next day or to drive her to the town. In my opinion it's more important to provide this kind of service rather than a free navetta for the beach, in particular for a 4* Hotel
hotel and grounds were immaculate, beautiful setting
The food was of a high standard, with wide choice, late meal available on arrival. The Bathroom let down the standard of the Hotel, small with no bidet, and fixtures badly located,(i.e. Towel Rail and Toilet roll holder.)Difficulty in getting into the bath to use the shower due to the height of the side of the bath. In short a dated bathroom of 3 star standard.
Rooms very hot as heating/air con system was turned off.
The breakfast buffet and evening buffet offered a wide range of well cooked food. Service was excellent. All staff were cheerful and helpful. Golf course is a fair challenge but we preferred hoyos 10 - 27 No
good overall hotel. would say staff friendly and helpful. breakfast very good and varied choice.room reasonable. rooms ready for a little updating. also the bathrooms are a little dated and no bidet. but comfortable, think the category should be closer to 3 star than 4.good family hotel.
We have stayed here before so it was a deliberate choice to return. The beds are fantastically comfortable and the evening buffet is excellent. We really like this Hotel. The staff this visit were even more accommodating than before.
We're non-golfers and were therefore in a minority but not made to feel so. Very quiet and peaceful hotel, perfect for a short break out of season. Excellent quality evening buffet.
Right in front of the beach, very close to some shops and restaurants, great swimming pool. The swimming pool inside the hotel has no chairs or beds. Towels or clothes have to be left on the floor!
Spaaanish environment, dpainish people and staff in a spanish tow: a very interesting and enjoyable experience.
The quality of the downstairs facilities and the pool area and its closeness to the beautiful beach. Also brilliant breakfast selections. The evening entertainment was rather dull.
The lifts were unbearably slow, full of people and one was often out of use.
Location. Facilities for disabled. International buffet breakfast menu. Poorly cleaned bathroom facilities despite having unbroken "hygene seal" on toilet. Floor unwashed.
It was good value for money (except the costs of having a drink)drinks are available for half the price in the local bars no waiter service particularly round the pool I would recommend your hotel but not for more than a 2 or 3 night stay because of the price of drinks and the poor waiter service
Clean room, breakfest
the pool area
Efficiently run, modern hotel in good location at beachside. Was on a room only basis for a short business trip so I cant comment on food. Very nice looking asian style spa and excellent outdoor pool.
I liked everything no
Location was perfect, on the beach and quiet promenade. Nice board-walk to town Very noisy room due to compressor noise from bar area below. Breakfast was very basic, staff indifferent and no coffee offered.
Very good location. Right at the beach. Breakfast for only 2,20€ per person. late check-in. Nice staff. free parking. not easy to find. was kind of hidden! we had two single beds instead of one big bed. it was a very stormy night and the doors of the balcony did not close completely. some of the rain came in the room. Heating system was working but not full power. We had to use 3 blankets.
Seaview is fantastic, good bed restaurant closed for dinner during wintertime
The hotel was closed - apart from the access to the room. Could get nothing else
Nice ocean view from balcony :) Realy great location. As it was no a travel season, the breakfast was poor.
All the staff were most helpful and looked happy. The room and beds were very comfortable. The restaurant offered excellent food albeit no a la carte. We were ground floor and there were ants around. (Solved by buying ant spray!)
I liked the beds, that were very good. At night is was quiet. I did not like the poor state of repair of the bathrooom. I also did not like the poor quality of tv reception.
Peace and quiet. Not particularly well signposted, entrance off a roundabout difficult to see.
The location is excellent and very peaceful, the staff are very polite and helpful. The bar area is usually unstaffed and you have to wait a while for somebody to appear, if the reception staff see you waiting, they will call a member of staff to serve you!, there seems to be no management at the hotel, just kind staff, I dont know who Mr. Big is, but personally, if he worked for me, I`d dismiss him for not being obvious in his role as manager!.
Very confortable hotel and very nice service/rate! Very recommended!
very friendly staff
Well situated between the town of Ayamonte and Isla Canela beach ( 5 minutes by car to each) Bar and food service very slow
I do not think that this is a 5 star hotel, more like 4 star. This is the second time we have stayed here and it is very much aimed at the golf market.
Nice hotel, good standard and level of comfort Breakfast too expensive - €15 each. Walls thin (can hear the next room).
Quietness of hotel location
The hotel had a very friendly staff. The door lock of the bathroom was broken when we arrived, but when we reported this, the lock was changed immediately. Good service. Very close to the beach. The kitchen should have been better equipped. Bad TV signals meant that we could not be sure to watch the football world cup matches.
Hotel very clean and comfortable. Near the beach. No food available during day. Pool unusable during our week stay although we asked for it to be cleaned. Staff not friendly
Beach is very close, and the included breakfast was very large and delicious. Pool and kids playroom were great. Easy walk down the beachfront to the Centro Comercial and restaurants. Beach nearby was a bit rough for small kids (2 and 4 years old) and there isn't much character to the neighborhood where the hotel is located. Parking was difficult on the street. Hotel charges ridiculous fees for extras like towels, parking, and internet. There is no personal internet access, only coin operated PCs in a shared public space that are extremely overpriced.
Room space, the breakfast, the cleaniless and the staff.......they were very friendly . We had our 7 year old son with us.. Although there was a small playground.... the surroundings were designed more for adults to sit round ,relax and read a book etc.
Clean, nice location, excellent breakfast buffet. The room was spacious, with balcony and very nice view to the river. Quiet. Absolutely recommended.
Service and quality of food
The hotel exceeded my expectations. The view from the balcony over Ayamonte was stunning. The bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. There is a feeling of space throughout the whole hotel. It was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent. I would certainly recommend this hotel. Nothing.
We like the position of this Parador, and the bathroom, and the excellent breakfast, and the service. We did not like the high price of evening dinner - too expensive.
It was very nice to be up graded to a superior room with a lovely balcony and view of the river and Portugal. The breakfast was excellent and included in the price. The air conditioning did not work and it was very hot.
We loved the views from the hotel and discovering the countryside with the Donana National Park and birdwatching - fabulous. It was a nice busy hotel atmosphere and the afternoon tea and cakes was very good. Plus good service.
I've stayed at this Parador before and the staff are always helpful and even the standard rooms are very clean and comfortable. Quite a good base to operate from when covering Huelva Province and the border region of the Algarve. Initially I stayed 3 nights (included a 1 night extension to the booking & on my return journey booked into the Parador again as the best available hotel. This Parador is one of the simple ones but maintains the appropriate standard hence you get exactly what you pay for... I've never had to complain and if an item of equipment has failed it has been repaired on request.
great location, wonderful hotel with perfect rooms. breakfast was excellent historical places next the hotel are private and closed to public use
it was relaxing and peaceful and the staff were friendly and very efficient breakfast was good but dinner was not very good
Food was good. staff presence sometimes lacking, difficult to find facilities, need more signage or better information on arrival, cleanliness could be improved.
The proximity to the beach and the location of our room, offering a magnificent beach view. I found the buffet very poor, in relation to the breakfast and dinner. There was hardly any choice and many dishes were repeated. I was extremely disappointed. I also found a staff member of the housekeeping department using the same elevator as used by guests to transport the cleaning cart. Coming from the Hotel business, this is not acceptable for a 4* Hotel.
Very spacious and excellent room and bathroom, very close to the beach. Comfortable beds. Very rich buffet breakfast; altough the choice was the same all the days, there was a lot to choose from. Very helpful the staff at the reception. It is a family hotel, full of screaming children at all the hours of the day and of the night (!) and their mothers screaming even more (despite we were there at the end of September), tourists in shorts. If you are searching for a romantic holiday, you risk to be disappointed.
enjoyed staying very much. Staff were excellent. The rooms were spacious and clean. Facilities for families were very good also. Loved the spa.
The size of the rooms were excellent the views of the beach were also excellent. The show cooking was very good. Sara the receptionist was particularly helpful. The dining was changed from buffet to A la carte and there was not enough choice for us and the menu was the same every night maybe because the hotel was empty this was in February. We found a couple of the staff in the restaurant quite rude.
The hotel was very close to the marina / beaches and the ferry which takes you across to portugal. Littl Zoo next to the hotel. Nice large rooms with balcony and large bathrooms. Nice breakfast. Can be a little cold in the rooms - make sure you take the extra blanket out of the wardrobe.
Excellent position. Although no car park we had no problem parking outside. There were plenty of restaurants within easy distance, and easy to visit the portuguese Algarve. The room was very basic, with quite narrow beds.
Good location for Ayamonte centre
Very pleasant staff. The hotel is very centrally located and reasonably priced. Our room decor a little dated but very clean and comfortable No
Large spacious room. Located centrally in Ayamonte Very noisy hotel. Hard surfaces in corridors amplified sound. Doors to the rooms did not keep our noise.
Location was good The room was extremley basic and was sold to me as a double when in fact it was a twin,no hot water in shower, very dated.
Very helpful and friendly reception staff. Very good value for money In need of re-decoration. Very poor breakfast. Some fruit would have been nice. Beds very hard.
good breakfast location to town centre
