Pros. 1.The cost ($21,usd/night), 2.Venue real nice courtyard to chat with people from all over the world-mostly trekkers but other tourists and expats on extended stays or working in Nepal), rooms small but clean, no ac but not needed, can open windows at night and sleep comfortably 3. location (if you want to immerse yourself in the culture of Kathmandu) 4. cleanliness 5. Staff friendly typical of Nepali people I have met in country and as expats elsewhere. To put in perspective if you are looking for a multi-star with turned down covers and gourmet baking, scenic view etc. go elsewhere but if you want to dive into Nepal culture and chat with other like minded folks this is the place.
Cons. The power is shut off by the electric company from time to time by the electric company but the is typical of all of Kathmandu. The internet was slow but I didn't come to nepal to stare at a screen for long periods of time.
