Besides the fact that the pillows were dreadfully thin, there were no extra blankets for the chilly nights, and breakfast was tolerable at best, the communication at this hotel leaves much to be desired. For example, when I realized our blow dryer did not work, I told the front desk, and they said they'd send someone up to bring a new one. When I got back to my room, the front desk called to tell me that no one would be coming until the following morning. Ok; but then there was a knock on my door. A large man was there and said he brought a blow dryer. I said I'd take it, but he insisted he had to come in. Looking back, I never should've let him in for safety reasons. My husband was out on errands, and this was almost 10 at night. It was a very awkward few minutes. He left abruptly and said he'd be back. Twenty minutes later (it's now after 10) we needed to get to bed. I called the front desk to tell them I no longer wanted assistance, and the front desk person had no idea what I was talking about. He was also very rude to me. Why exactly, I don't know. The communication here was not impressive. There are so many hotels in the area to choose from, we will definitely not choose this hotel again.
Awesome front desk service! Clean rooms with plenty of things in them (Fridge, microwave, etc). Very affordable, and near a lot of food and stores and not to mention a 10 minute drive from Disney.
Nothing notable to complain about, especially when you consider the awesome price.
Convenient and best deal out there. Breakfast was a good surprise.
Shuttle not free, not convenient, & dangerously crowded. Driver expected a tip. ($1 per passenger)
It was clean yes.
Our fridge was blowing hot air. Which did nothing for the food and drinks we bought for the room they just offered a maintance guy to come out at 10pm, no thank you with small kids. And we asked for wash clothes and more towels they said they would bring them to our room and never showed so the four of us shared two towels and wash cloths. Other than that beds were comfy.
Good breakfast which was included, fair price, clean and attractive, close to Disney World, shuttle to theme parks.
The location was convenient. I felt it was clean enough. Housekeeping staff were pleseant.
frobt desk staff was not very friendly or professional, furniture was warped making it seem old but that not a deal breaker since the building is old. Black out curtains were difficult to find- we thought we didn't have any at first- in the reviews it showed we aren't the only ones to have a problem- lastly we did not like that we had to deal with someone pushing resort or time share opportunities disguised as someone giving parking passes. Not even of these were deal breakers especially for the low price we paid- but it asked what I didn't like so that's my answer.
The tub faucet was leaking and the tub fixtures were rusted, which caused them not to work properly.
This hotel was very close to Disney. The staff was very helpful. The lobby is very pretty and the bedroom looked nice. The Continental Breakfast was the best thing about the hotel. It was hot and cold food and a large assortment. I wish I could have rated that because I would have given them 5 stars.
The bathrooms were very used and needed some deep cleaning. Tile and corners dirty. Couldn't turn off tub so it dripped all night long. Elevators were in need of repair... scary every time we rode it. Parking was not very good either because as a motel, there was no parking close to your room or the elevators. I was hoping to use the shuttle but it only went once in the morning and it was later than we wanted to go so we spent the money we saved to park at Disney.
The location was convenient while neatly tucked away from all the traffic of 192. The room is neatly laid out with all the amenities: microwave, freezer, fridge, coffee maker, ironing board and iron. Very typical mid-ranged facility for tourist areas. Would recommend for Disney, Universal, Sea World visitors on limited budget.
The bed was not real comfortable...needs updated. The bath is small and had a small leak behind the toilet. When checked in had a small question around additional charges from what Kayak had quoted. These extra charges were dropped when I questioned their reason which duplicated the service fees already paid to Kayak.
The lobby was beautiful! They provided a nice continental breakfast. The room we had was very spacious.
After walking through the lobby, you step outside to enter the elevators. They were so old and did not look like they were well maintained. The rooms were spacious, but they too looked like they had been beat up and needed some TLC. But is was the bill they handed me when I left for "service fees" that could not be explained. I think this has become a standard rip-off technique by hotels in the Orlando area when someone books through a travel website.
The lobby was very nice. We checked in and there was a little problem with the booking details but was quickly fixed by the staff member at the desk. As soon as we walked into our hotel room, we were hit with the smell of what I can only describe as pure stench. The smell was so bad that we all stopped on our tracks. We thought maybe it was coming from the bathroom probably just from the people who had stayed in the room before us. We decided to head straight to the parks and figured that by the time we got back that night, the stench would be gone. We figured wrong. In the morning I called the lobby and complained about the smell and the staff member told us he would switch our room. Needless to say our stay was much better after sleeping in a room that didn't smell like someone had defecated in the middle of it.
Breakfast is held from 7am to 9am, way too early for us to have tried it. Room only provides you with soap and weird smelling shampoo (no conditioner).
Great location, right next to Disney World and not too far from Universal Studios. They have shuttles that go to all the theme parks in the area (i.e. Disney, Universal, and SeaWorld) and free breakfast (although not the best). There's a lot of food options within walking distance of the hotel, granted they won't be fine dining but your run-of-the-mill diners and fast food joints. Beds were comfy but bathroom area was tiny.
The drop-off and pick-up times for the shuttle service to the parks are less than ideal...either dropping off too late or picking up too early. The shuttle is often really congested and crowded, so if you have strollers or wheelchairs consider getting on the bus early or there won't be room for you and your family. Shampoo makes you smell like an old folks home.
Bugs in bathroom. Mud on the bathroom floor from the last guest. Bathtub faucet leaked all night. A lot of the items at breakfast were stale. Staff at the front desk were unfriendly.
Room was comfy, had mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Good WIFI connection.
Staff was very frieendly
Lot of rust in bathrooms. Seemed a bit run down. Didn't refill coffee supplies daily. Breakfast selection was not spectacular.
The lobby of the place is amazing i loved it and kind of set your expectations a little high. The rooms were upgraded which was nice. We only stayed 1 night short trip we are dvc members and had run out of points we've stayed pretty much everywhere this one had a good price and the pictures seemed nice and it had a breakfast.
The place itself is a motel. We stayed on the first floor when we opened the door we were like wow at least they upgraded the rooms to look decent. Shortly after the headboard of the bed fell on one side but like i said we were gonna be there for one night. The room itself looked clean except the top sheets on one of the beds had some kind of brown marks on them. It took 15 min of me waiting to check in even though i was the only one there. The breakfast was not good. I know what continental breakfast means and the difference between that and hot continental breakfast and this was just bad. Not enough choices of cold stuff i just had a coffee and my kids had just cereal they did maintain the cleanliness of the breakfast area. All in all i think next time were gonna stay at galleria palms basically same price.
breakfast was good how close the spring training games were
Very very noisy with road noise.
