Overview
The Contemporary Resort is as close as guests can get to Magic Kingdom without actually being in Magic Kingdom. Aside from being close to the Disney Park, this ultra-modern resort is also wonderfully designed for families and young children. The Disney monorail runs through the hotel and kids can meet Disney characters right on site.
Guests looking to go all-in on a Disney experience will find their stay at The Contemporary simply magical. Staying at Disney’s Contemporary is 100-percent about location. Not only are guests just a monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom and Epcot, but they are within easy walking distance to tons of sites and amenities. Retreat to the hotel and discover award-winning dining, white-sand beaches, spectacular views and two dazzling heated pools, one with a 17-foot high waterslide.
Aside from being ultra-convenient to two of the Disney Parks, the Contemporary offers another convenient perk. On the same level as the monorail is the famous Chef Mickey’s restaurant, which hosts character meals with all of Mickey’s traditional crew.
The 1,008 rooms are colorful, crisp, clean, and comfortable, plus include convenient amenities for guests. Some rooms include sofa beds and feature spectacular views of Magic Kingdom and others have a floor-to-ceiling window with a view of Bay Lake. Staying at Disney’s Contemporary isn’t about booking the nicest room; it’s about the magical experiences.
Staying at Disney’s Contemporary will not save guests money but it will put them in one of the most convenient resorts in Disney World.

Be Mindful of Restaurant Prices
Several guests mentioned that the prices at the hotel's restaurants were high, so consider exploring dining options outside the resort for more budget-friendly meals.
