Room was awesome. Very spacious with very comfortable beds. Fantastic value for money. Best breakfast we had whilst on holidays. If you stay here or are walking past, do yourself a favour and go in for the buffet breakfast. At $28.00 per adult, you will not be disappointed. Not sure of normal cost for children.
On arrival we were advised we had to pay extra for parking, only to find there were no car spaces available in the carpark we had just paid for. Then parked in space marked for buses only to be told later to move the vehicle. Bus parking space moved out of remained vacant all night. At no time were we advised we could park on street in front of hotel at no cost as it was a public holiday. Further to this we received an SMS from the hotel prior to arrival inviting us to have buffet breakfast for $28.00 per person and children eat free. When we attended breakfast person who seated us pointed out a sign advising on public holidays we would be charged 15% more but as favour to us she would honour the text message. Nothing in message mentioned anything about public holiday so did not need to be mentioned. So now we move onto the room, we booked room for three people. Room came with two queen size beds and quite spacious. Why did we not like this you may ask? Because it also came with 2 towels, 2 glasses, 2 cups - basically 2 of everything. When we called down to advise extra towel was sent but no cup or glass.
I booked 4 nights then extended a night. Paid the same for all nights on a per night basis. Informed the staff on arrival to avoid confusion. Was made to pay $200 extra because my daughter was 14. Same room same bed but extra charge.. Then in the last day I was phoned and informed I needed to pay a further $30 because my room was a superior rather than a deluxe ... whatever that means. I returned to the room to discover my keys no longer worked. Heavy handed response to their lack of attention at check in .. apparently the difference is which floor the room is on ... as if anyone cares, but no warning or means of knowing any of this . And not addressed at checkin if such idiocy was actually a problem ... In the end I didn’t pay $30 extra but the inhospitable rules and staff means I won’t return. I checked the prices of the two rooms a week hence and they were offered at a difference of just $1.60 on booking.com with the superior room actually cheaper
Everything was clean and the bed was good. Location was central to the city centre.
the staff are always super friendly and I feel very safe when I stay there x
room service choices are limited
The room was spacious and bathroom was nice and big. Staff was very nice and friendly.
Noise from corridors and from the street. The rooms are not sound proof
