3.4 Mediocre
Pros: Cool old building. Good location. The elevator/lift was original.
Cons: Really funky. Rooms were mostly clean but the place felt abandoned. The price we paid was coockoo bananas for the value. ($170/night was way way way overpriced for the value). Common areas had no sinks, coffee was terrible. Owners live off site so requires a cell call to contact them. Seems like it might be better than the name brand Hotel across the street but unsure. The “chophouse and bistro” downstairs was pretty much empty. Decor was thrift store — which I generally like — but this was just really weird with absolutely no consistent theme. Just random. chippy paint window sills with in-window a/c. The whole place seemed like a work in progress. May be the best you can get in Hot Springs Though. Treat it like an adventure.
