Good location, just off the main square. Breakfast was excellent. And was served early as I was leaving early.
Location, value for money and privacy of a single room were all great
Couldn’t pay by credit card which was inconvenient, Bathrooms (shared) were dirty, wifi was poor, breakfast was at 10 which since I had a flight in the morning was pointless
The morning staff was phenomenal. They went out of their way to accommodate for things for us. Our shower wasn’t working, so they let us use a different room to shower in. They helped us get things ready for the day!
The person who checked us in was very rude and disrespectful to my husband and our friend. He stated that the never accept Moroccans, but since we booked through booking, he had no choice. He also was very offensive towards me and my husband, saying that it was illegal for us to do things, even though we had our marriage certificate to prove it. We also didn’t have hot water in our room, so they gave us another place to shower while they “fixed” it. It was never fixed. The breakfast only consisted of bread items (msemen, pastries, and bread), and some juice/coffee/tea. Finally, our room didn’t lock. They key worked, and would lock the room, but you could simply push the doors open and get in without using a key.
The room was bigger than we expected and we didn't have to share a bathroom! Abdul in reception was the nicest, wisest most generous young man we had ever met! My partner and I got chatting to him and he always offered tea or some tips for handling the busy city. The place itself isn't luxurious my any means, its quite modest, but it had enough warm blankets for the night! It was less than a minute away from the main square which was brilliant.
Breaking free after they try to force me to pay a second time
The unhelpful men at reception who refused to call the person in charge of bookings and who did not have access to emails which could confirm that I had already paid. Also, fact that they don't know how booking.com works and therefore it should not be using it
