Thanks to the staff for your care and for guiding me via WhatsApp when horribly lost - I have NO sense of direction. I was shown such kindness, plus they arranged a wonderful female guide for the day. Nora was a delight and I spent such a happy day with her sharing the stories of our lives and being Mothers and wives in very different lands. Plus, she tailored the day to me! The Riad is simple clean, the fire lite on a cool evening and a delicious dinner served by its glow. I struggled with the distance from the Square, a good 30 min walk but I was just so lost without a guide Thank you Thank you Thank you Ruth from Hobart Tasmania
There is nothing to say here
fatimzhara and youssef are perfect and warmhearted hosts. the riad is great and like descripted in the profile. fatimzhara was so kind to book all reservations for dinner and hamam for us. she even organized a special private trip through the atlas; we specially highly recommend the confident driver abdul, who is very familar with the place. we are definitely looking forward to stay in this riad again!
I don’t normally write reviews but I really want to write a review for Riad Honey. The staff were outstanding. They really did everything they could to make my stay the best it could be. I felt like I was staying with family. Youssef was an amazing host & such a kind & caring person. I’ve been to Marrakech a few times before & I decided to spend my last night this trip at Riad Honey. I’d read the reviews & I noted that people said that the Riad is in a difficult find location. That is true BUT if you want a taste of what it is like to stay in a more authentic area of the Medina, then you should stay at this Riad. Youssef provided me with a map, instructions & his phone number. I did get lost but after a phone call Youssef came to collect me. He acted like it was no trouble at all. I am a 58 year old woman & I was travelling alone. As I am a coeliac & cannot eat gluten, the Riad has gluten free bread for me. I didn’t expect them to do that but I appreciated it so much. I also to had leave early but Fatima made sure I had breakfast before I left & Youssef walked me to the car to make sure I got to the airport on time. The Riad is as it appears in the photos. However it is the staff that made this Riad truely special. I am really confident that they would do anything they could to make your holiday enjoyable. All you would have to do is ask them.
As I mentioned previously, the location is a little hard to find but the staff help overcome this problem & more than compensate for the location.
I enjoyed pretty much everything. It’s a beautiful Riad, very well decorated. Youssef and Fatima were the nicest hosts. Breakfast in the rooftop is always a very pleasant moment. I’d go back here for sure.
The only thing I would point not so positive would be the location. It’s about 15/20min. waking from Jemaa el-Fnaa but as sons as you arrive Fatima informs you about the shortest way. I’d say this Riad is appropriated for groups or more than one person. But it also depends on how adventurous you are, I’m a 25 years old guy and did a few times the way back from the center of Marrakech by the night and all was fine. With no means of being sexist, if you are a girl traveling alone, I’d advise you to choose other location maybe. Otherwise, you if you’re looking for a comfortable and traditional place to stay, this is the one.
I love this Riad (I also stayed before five years ago with some of my siblings), this one has on open courtyard and surrounding balcony, you get to hear the beautiful sounds of the birds in the morning. Youssef is wonderful, he is a true example of 5 star service and the customer service from Fatima was great, the breakfasts are generous and delicious. The Riad is slightly off the beaten track (about 15-20 minute walk to the main square) so is great if you also like to see true Marrakech life and not the glamorous side of things in life. They were happy to cook a meal for us when we were not able to venture out, it was delicious so much that we ordered again the day before we had to sadly fly back to the UK.
