10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfortable, quiet, clean
Cons: All was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff Was great and ver y nice and we will be staying there again
3.4 Mediocre
Pros: Robert and Maylia at the front desk were accommodating.
Cons: I had to change my room three times because it was unclean. The rooms had hair, and foot prints on the bathroom floor, a greasy stove top, a small pinkish spot on the coverlet, greasy finger prints on the remote control, splatters on the mirrors and shower handle, a stain on the sofa and splatters on the toilet.

Here guests can enjoy easy access to Washington D.C.'s iconic landmarks, monuments, museums and historical attractions. Exploration is easy, with the Pentagon City Metro located just outside the hotel and only two stops from downtown Washington DC and Reagan Washington National Airport. The lobby invites guests to relax in a cozy setting after a day of sightseeing. Try one of our hand-crafted cocktails in front our glowing fireplace at fyve or join us for our legendary afternoon tea on Saturdays and Sundays.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Ritz-Carlton is what we dreamed all our previous hotels would have been. The staff, facility, rooms, food, location, and atmosphere could not be improved. In addition to a beautiful property with excellent customer service, the Ritz-Carlton is literally steps from the Pentagon City Metro station. They treated my children like kings and made our stay well worth the price. The search for lodging in the Washington D.C. area has ended. We will never stay anywhere else again!
Cons: I cannot say I did not like anything. Even the small logistical issues we had, that come with children, were fixed above and beyond expectations. The staff over-compensated for any issue that arose during our stay. Others should learn from the Ritz-Carlton model.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet, no outside noise what so ever despite the location.
Cons: Nothing that set apart the Ritz from the others, room, furniture, bathroom was very medicore and what you get from any other hotel in the same class.
5.7 Okay
Pros: Great bed.
Cons: Location is not good - no local character. Pretentious - with no good reason.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Service excellent, great atmosphere and convenient to all local area
Cons: Nothing,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Metro was just outside the front door and it made for very easy trips on the metro. The airport is only two stops away and you avoid the hassle of traffic if you don't have too much luggage to carry. I saw several families there so I think it would be a nice place for families too. And of course, the service was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
7.4 Good
Pros: Free early check-in. Quiet room.
Cons: No free wifi. Drab view from room.

9.1 Excellent
Pros: A good clean room in a meeting hotel, for a reasonable price
7.7 Good
Pros: The facility was nice and the staff was friendly.
Cons: The huge difference between rooms. Our double was way less elegant than the single queen rooms. So we had to choose if we wanted a nicer room or two beds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great renovations/updates and well stocked club lounge.
7.7 Good
Pros: Clean room, pleasant, modern decor. EXCELLENT location as the metro was accessible without going outside the building - this was extremely important to us as we were there for the women's march and transportation in and around DC was stretched to its limits. There was no hassle with having to get a shuttle to the metro as has been needed with other hotels I have stayed in, in the area. Staff was polite and professional - no problems checking-in 2 hours earlier than planned. Parking was secure and not excessively expensive. Negatives: No free in-room wifi, television was so-so.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Loved the Metro connection near the hotel!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: I loved that the metro was right under the hotel. So convenient. The pool and spa were beautiful. The staff are excellent.
Cons: Spa was a bit too hot at 108 degrees You couldn't bear to get into it and if you did it was only for a few seconds before feeling light headed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was incredibly kind to my son and to us from check-in to departure. Pool is a plus for families with kids. Soooo close to the metro for business or leisure and close to coffee and a drugstore for incidental purchases.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Size of room Late check out upon request Clean Nice amenity products Bathtub Friendly, helpful staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. The hotel staff were very helpful. The Hotel is connected by underground tunnels to shopping and the metro system. The catering staff were very accommodating to my wife who is a vegan.
Cons: The only bad part was the hotel restaurant was very slow and overpriced.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Guests with lounge access have access to full breakfast buffet
Cons: Needs a new gym and guest rooms in the Capitol Tower need renovations

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, updated, upscale, great value! Friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed 3 nights during the Thanksgiving holiday. Loved everything about the hotel from check-in to services, pool and hot tub, breakfast etc. Room was very spacious for 3 people, my mother-in-law slept on the pull out sofa which was comfortable for her. The full kitchen was very useful for us. Very clean, well organized and the exceptional staff is an amazing plus. Free internet and free breakfast were added bonuses for my family.
Cons: The only thing I would suggest is to extend the pool hours for weekdays. The pool is closed during the day on weekdays and it opens at 5:00PM even on Thanksgiving day they kept regular weekday hours. The pool is open during the day on weekends.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was wonderful and also the breakfast on the weekends along with the friendly staff

9.1 Excellent
Pros: The Metro and all sorts of shopping and dining opportunities are about a 15 min. walk away. The airport is a five minute taxi/shuttle ride (probably 20 min. on foot). The staff is super-nice. I messed up and set my reservation for the wrong date (I choose to blame Kayak poor user interface for that), but the staff was nice and were able to help me out. Those apples at the front desk were delicious... Room was clean and comfy, on-par with other Marriott properties. Will definitely come back, especially if I can get a decent rate.
Cons: A little pricey, but perhaps not by DC standards.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, clean, best spaghetti
7.7 Good
Pros: Restaurant was very good, but very pricey.
Cons: The entire time we were there, 4 days, there was the same pile of dirty dishes outside our room.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds, nice view, location to the ballpark
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed overnight in 3 rooms with 6 adults and a four year old child. Very pleasant hotel with clean rooms, clean “home” typo of feel lobby, fresh smelling - like rainbows :)) - I swear I don’t know what they did, but lots of time a place could smell a little dusty/oldish....this one impressed all of us. Conveniently located and I like that Garage is in the building without a need to go outside, unlike when we stayed in DC center and had to park in adjacent independent garage. Starbucks walking distance across the street, illy coffee bar right in the building.
Cons: Maybe we didn’t stay to long to not like something, but everything was great during our stay, no complaints.
6.5 Good
Pros: Restaurant and front desk staff were great
Cons: Requested that room be cleaned at 9am and returned at 4pm room was NOT clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at the Renaissance was totally top notch service. Everyone is very pleasant and professional. Will definitely stay again.
Cons: NOTHING!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of many restuarants and several blocks from the train system to get too and from many sights. Hotel was clean and staff was extremely friendly. Would definitely stay again.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great
Cons: No internet even though we paid for it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean. Friendly. Easy checkin and out
Cons: All went well.
7.4 Good
Pros: The hotel was nice and the location was great for work.
Cons: I was charged three times for the same room. I am still fighting to get one of the charges reversed. While the staff at the front desk were unable to help me, I was transferred to a very nice young lady who I have been working with ever since. She admitted there was a mistake and has been helpful. But, the bottom line is that I checked out 2 weeks ago and the excessive charges have not been returned. BUT, nice place to stay. Just be able to handle a surprise.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location to metrono
Cons: No opportunity to rent movies on demand.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room is extremely comfortable, with great conditions. They let you keep your vehicle in parking lot during the day you check out, until late afternoon
Cons: Breakfast could be much much better. Eggs were awful; choices of bread were very limited and juice was bad as well.
6.0 Good
Pros: Leed Certified building! The included breakfast was nice and the staff was great. Location is also pretty good - walking distance to plenty of nice places in general.
Cons: As of January 29, 2017 - the hotel is located next to a construction site for a brand new building. When checking into the hotel, I was given a room 4 floors up on the side of the construction. If you are someone who is up before 7a, then this hotel may be fine for you during the construction. I was not, beforehand, but during the stay was up abruptly at 7a when banging and other loud construction noises woke me up. I wouldn't be complaining about this if I felt the hotel was operating at occupancy but it was not very full at all. I believe they just stuck me next to construction because they are not thorough. As for a cleanliness aspect, the bathroom sink had some left over facial hair clippings from the previous occupant. Overall the place had a nice clean, modern, and professional feel - but quickly falls apart.

6.2 Good
Pros: Renovated rooms were pretty nice. Modern decor. 2 free water bottles and coffee maker. TV's and cable service were good. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: The entire lobby was under construction and I had no idea until I arrived. Had to use a small hallway entrance and wind my way to a small temporary lobby. Lot of construction noise, but mostly during the day. Access in and out of hotel was cumbersome. Hallways and doors are noisy. Not sure if it is the gap under door or lack of insulation in walls, but I woke up to the noise of many doors in the halls slamming shut. Airport shuttle driver was very unpleasant. If you don't like your job, find something else to do. He pitched a fit when a guest was trying to pull in to the entrance, which blocked him from existing the entrance (not the exit like he should). claimed he couldn't reverse out of the way.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean and well managed. No complaints.
Cons: Seems like another shuttle should be available. And perhaps continental breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location to all the modes of travel and the area has shops in walking distance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just loved the way everyone worked together for the customers....from Mek at the bar to guest services, everyone was just great. I would definitely stay again on my next trip. Really helps being so close to the airport......
Cons: No pool, I was really surprised that there was no pool, I guess i should have checked just kind of assumed they would have one. Also had to walk to the hampton in for tylenol, not a huge deal.....oh one last thing no room service, that threw me off but with uber eats I just ordered out....I would think you would want to capture every dollar possible.
5.4 Okay
Cons: This hotel is under construction and they did not tell us about it until we arrived. I was also awoken at 11pm by concierge asking me if I was staying in the room. They responded that they accidentally double booked my room.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Free shuttle to and from airport. Nice rooms. Micro and fridge in room plus coffee machine. Furniture comfortable. Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was helpful.
Cons: $14 breakfast was a joke. Same waffle maker and packaged bagels you would find at less expensive hotels. Only extra was omelets, which I did not have. Went across the street and got a much better breakfast for about half the price. Lousy way to gouge customers.
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean and decently priced.
Cons: Our TV was not functional, the fridge was dirty and overall the decor of the place was bizarre.
5.1 Okay
Pros: The room was nice, clean and decent size for the price.
Cons: The staff was not knowledgeable about the area or events. So could not assist guests. They gave different information on their shuttle services. They were unable to give guest answers or suggestions on places in the area.
5.7 Okay
Pros: The staff was friendly and the location served our purpose
Cons: We were staying because we ran a marathon in the area. We were looking for somewhere we could get a good night sleep and a hot shower; however we were not able to get any hot water for a shower. The morning of the race I was forced to take a cold shower, while my friend refused to take a cold shower. This was very frustrating as we expect, at a minimum, we would be able to shower.
5.1 Okay
Cons: The noise, the first room wasn't acceptable, requested room change then desk agent didn't complete request so the handicapped room wasn't avail when we returned from our day out. we had to wait for the housekeeper to be finshed, for the room to be ready so we took all our luggage out of the room only to have to move it to a different room that wasn't reserved as requested. the hotel policy is to hold 50 dollars per day for incidentals. not 50 dollars per stay. subsequently 3 days over drafted my account!!!! at check out I was told the hold would take 3 to 5 days to release. that sucks. I wont use a booking service again. to many rules. I will book directly and cut the terms in half that are required. the few bucks I saved wasn't worth the hassel in the end.
6.5 Good
Pros: Staff was great
Cons: Extensive construction going. Will be nice when complete.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff with great comfort and great service including hospitality: Johnnique and the other new young lady working alongside her on 5/12.

Cons: Service at the restaurant was lacking, although the food was ok once it arrived and they got the order right (i.e., no cheese/dairy). Saw evidence of bugs (i.e., dead one) by the kitchen entrance, but none alive. In general, given the hotel pricing for the food I wouldn't eat there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had a great experience. Very courteous and prompt staff. I ended up getting a head cold during my stay and they had cold medicine available for purchase so I didn't have to trek out to the local CVS or Walgreens. Would definitely stay again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I thought the hotel and rooms were fantastic. I was very comfortable throughout my stay. Booking through Kayak got me a great deal, and it was definitely a steal to stay here. The location was perfect - right next to the Rosslyn metro stop. I was within walking distance of the Arlington Cemetary and Iwo Jima monument. There were several restaurants in the area that catered to a variety of tastes, which was really convenient. The hotel even provided a list of nearby restaurants with estimated travel times. I'd recommend a stay here!
Cons: When I entered the hotel to check in, I was greeted by two men welcoming guests into the hotel. There was one man at the desk checking in a woman and her two daughters, and I stood in line behind them waiting to be helped. A few minutes later another man walked in and was greeted by the two men at the door; however, this time one of the men walked behind the desk and said he'd be happy to check the newcomer in. Well, what about me? I was standing in line way before him! I decided to let it go because I am not one for causing scenes. Well, a few minutes later it happened again with another new guest - she was also taken before me. Not sure if it was because I look young, wasn't dressed as nicely as these other guests, or was mistaken for one of the woman's daughters, but I should have been helped before the two people who arrived after me. In general, the people at the desk weren't as friendly with me as other (better dressed) guests. I'm a woman in my early 20s and was traveling alone - probably an indicator that I won't spend as much money as older men in business suits or families with children? Also, no free WiFi is a bummer. Things also didn't look as clean as they could have - dusty TV remote, water rings on tables, etc.

Cons: We stayed in room 626 and it took many minutes to get hot water in the shower. My wife waited the needed 3-5 minutes. I became impatient and just took a cold shower.

Pros: The area was a nice part of D.C., it is right next to the metro which is great. Very nice staff. No continental breakfast, but food price wasn't too shabby.
Cons: Wish there was a pool.

Pros: The location, room, and the entire facility.
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff were very friendly and professional, and helpful. Rooms were very clean and smelled good. Staff in restaurant/ bar were even more helpful and friendly. They came by and checked on us and brought us more drinks while we stayed longer in the eating area.
Cons: The price for this weekend. However it is a busy weekend for any inauguration so I can understand the increase in prices. The hours of the restaurant in the hotel were very limited. I would prefer a little earlier on the weekend, and later at night.

Cons: I used Kayak to filter hotels with free parking and free breakfast, when I got there non was free, if that was the case why did Kayak included them in the search results???????!!!!!!! The room was described as having two queen beds, it turns out to have had only one queen bed and a bed sofa. Very MISLEADING.
4.8 Okay
Cons: - Indoor swimming pool was closed though hotel's website says that they have a swimming pool facility and it is open. the staff said that they have closed it due to end of season which was not convincing as the pool is indoor, the weather was very hot and all other surrounding hotels' indoor swimming pools were fully operating. - No dining room service - No buffet breakfast

Pros: The staff was great! Super helpful with directions, even gave a couple of Metro cards with $5 on them that they happened to have. They also have a Starbucks in the hotel lobby which was nice.
Cons: No free breakfast, parking was valet only & $34 dollars a night, the pillows in the room were incredibly soft, which some may like but they fell flat so quickly. Also we had a hole in our sheet & one in the comforter. To be honest, I think we were given an outdated room because we paid such a low price. We got the room for $117 a night.

Pros: Location
Cons: Room was hot and thermostat had no effect. Wanted to extend my stay but at same price, but the manager said no deal so I moved out.
5.7 Okay
Pros: The beds are comfortable and the pillows.
Cons: We arrived to find that they had just installed new carpeting in the very long hallway which we had to navigate every time we came and went. I have a tendency to get asthma and we complained at the desk but no amelioration was offered. We didn't had time to find a new hotel or move so we stuck it out for four nights and by the end I was so sick I could hardly walk with sinus infection, sore throat, painful cough and couldn't sleep while we were there. I have never gotten so sick so fast. My doctor says that the carpet smell was the factor is why I got so sick. I think you should warn people and ask them if they have sensitivities at the very least and probably should close the hotel when you put in new carpets. I think a person could get into a life threatening situation breathing that stuff. This hotel is conveniently placed for us but we will not be staying there again.

Pros: Location and budget price for the week I stayed. Staff was excellent and airport shuttle runs 24 hours.
Cons: Needs updates and working equipment. Carpet frayed by door in my room and mattress sagged. Gym equipment controls were broken.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In the heart of the revitalized Shirlington area; the hotel has a dozen restaurants within 2 blocks, a movie theater, a live theatre, and a grocery store all within one block. It's quiet and the parking is free.
Cons: Nothing. Really. An outstanding deal; I'll be back. If you want to nitpick, you could say that there's no metro but the bus plaza in Shirlington will allow you to take a bus to the Pentagon metro all hours of the day. I didn't try the hotel shuttle but understand it takes requests.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Pillow was very uncomfortable. It was far too soft. Stacking did not help. I woke daily with pain my neck.
Cons: Pillows with varying levels of firmness.(ex: soft, medium, firm)
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The room was fairly priced. Some of the staff members are very professional. I was assigned a room that met my pre-check requirements.
Cons: There was a brown stain in the white shower curtain. Some of the staff members are not courteous. They don't greet the guests.

7.7 Good
Pros: Bedding was super comfortable.
Cons: Room had not been cleaned well from previous occupants. Trash on floor in bedroom and bath. Two double beds yet only two sets of towels. When four people are in a room they need more then that.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great Room, staff was very friendly, location was close to restaurants.
Cons: Quite the walk to the Metro station. The hotess said 8 blocks, it had to have been longer than that!
7.4 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff, good conference facilities.
Cons: The bath tub/shower was very poorly designed and the plumbing maintenance was notable. small parts missing from faceplate of faucet, significant difficulty to turn on/off. Also very annoying that there was no fridge. Also conference catering support staff was very inflexible-for lunch one day our series had let out about 20 min early. All of the lunch spread was out and the staff was standing there in front of it preparing/readying nothing - great! They were ready early-but then they made us (ultimately about 80 people) wait for 20 minutes politely in line until they let us start the line. That seemed completely unreasonable, and without reason or basis. I did not organize the meeting this year but I may in future years, and this catering in flexib

Pros: I had a very good experience at this location. My room and the staff was great! I had a medical emergency during my stay and the security staff along with the manager accommodated my family beautifully. The security manager also followed up with me upon my return home. I was shocked to experience such professionalism and compassion with any hotel company. Thank you!

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Came and picked us up from Crystal City restaurant during heavy rain storm. Restaurant buffets were a good value for the quality of food provided. Good proximity to DCA. Room cleaning services were very good.
Cons: Pool was not clean, probably due to the overcrowding with children on the day we were there. Proximity to the metro not close but staff made frequent trips during the course of the day.

Pros: The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfort also.
Cons: I would've like to have had a refrigerator in the room.

Pros: Room Staff Restaurant for breakfast
Cons: Exhorbitant parking charge Technological difficulties getting elevator started and opening garage exit gate
5.1 Okay
Cons: Rude staff at the check in desk. We had booked a king & were given a double right next to the elevators despite having a 1 year old that was a light sleeper. We weren't offered a child crib. They also kept giving us key cards that wouldn't work. Very tiny bathrooms so you can't fit 2 people near the sink.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Location close to Reagan National airport and value of the offering. Great rate for this stay
Cons: No shuttle after 11pm. Because of my arrival I called and told them not to release my prepaid room due to late arrival nd in spite of this was told to call again the day of my arrival to re, re confirm. No problems but one time should have been enough.
6.5 Good
Pros: The bed was phenomenally comfortable and the room was well-appointed; on-site parking was easy to get in and out of and the facilities were pristine. Westin staff were friendly and professional.
Cons: The walls were paper thin and I could hear everything else happening on the floor; not the best accommodation if you're a light sleeper. Additionally the whole room had bright blue LEDs on the light switches that were angled directly into my face. There was also a notable gap between the bottom of the entrance door and the floor which exacerbated the sound and light issues. It might not be an issue for some people but it wasn't the best way to sleep off a wedding night hangover!
9.7 Excellent
Cons: We had an issue with our bathroom shower, but they quickly tried to fix it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very professional and helpful. The room was updated and clean and the property was safe and quiet.
Cons: The ATM was down.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was soooooooo comfortable.
5.1 Okay
Pros: Bed was comfortable, hotel was clean.
Cons: The great price you get from Kayak does NOT include parking, an additional $34, or Wifi, an additional $15! They charged for the parking and wifi even though I included them in my search. The hotel desk staff was pretty nasty about it when I questioned it. By the way, that extra parking charge was not removed even though every time we needed to exit we had to run back inside the hotel to get them to lift the arm on the gate, which would not read or card, or anyone else's.
4.8 Okay
Cons: I made my reservations over almost 2 months in advance for a traditional room with one king sized bed. I arrived at the hotel early so I could fix up the room with rose petals and surprise my fiancé. When I checked in, Daniel at the front desk told me that I would have to settle for 2 queen size beds when that is not what I requested in my reservation. He proceeded to tell me that for the cheap rate I was getting on the hotel through hotels.com, that I should be happy with the room I have for the amount of money I paid! I was insulted, if I requested a king sized bed then that is what I should have gotten, and although I did receive a great deal on hotels.com that should not take away from what I requested! What I had planned for my fiancé was totally ruined because we couldn't even sleep in the same bed because the bed was so small, and I was laying on the edge the entire time ! Very unromantic and disappointing!
7.4 Good
Pros: good location and room clean.
Cons: Overcharge for parking and Internet.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was great for a commute to my job in DC. Weekend and holiday schedule for Metro is horrible. Don’t plan on getting to work in the morning. I had to Uber twice due to closed Metro.
Cons: Walls are very thin, you can hear your neighbor coughing and speaking. No free WiFi, they do give you a free bottle of water, mine was only replaced twice in 6 days. If you go for the second bottle is $5. Over all, basic lodging with nothing extra.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice lobby bar staff. Location is right near metro so very convenient. Lobby is nice and spacious.
Cons: There wasn't anywhere to sit outside - no rooftop lounge, courtyard or even outside sitting area. That was frustrating. Wifi was expensive unless you are a starwood preferred guest -- JOIN!
