Our hotel is less than two miles from the Wild West Arena, which hosts NEBRASKAland Days' rodeos and concerts. We recommend visiting the Union Pacific Bailey Yard and the Golden Spike Tower, as well as the Cody Park Railroad Museum and the North Platte Area Children's Museum for families. Don't forget to visit Buffalo Bill Cody's Scout's Rest Ranch while you're here. Pros (+) The hotel staff was prepared for the influx of folks coming for solar eclipse viewing in Stapleton, NE. Manager's special included eclipse themed snacks. Even though the elevator was broken, there was ample staff to carry luggage to the room. Each room had a eclipse goodie bag with themed treats and ISO approved solar glasses.
Cons (-) Unfortunately, there was a fire in March so the renovation was not completed; the old rooms are clean but very tired. The manager and staff were up for the challenge and made us feel welcome and valued customers.
