Exceptional service that is sincere and not cloying. Staff is excellent, rooms are large and the bed is incredibly comfortable. My favorite hotel in Philadelphia. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The spa is also spectacular. They are dog friendly yet you can't tell if dogs are really there. The rooms are solidly built and I am sensitive to dogs barking. No dogs barking here! The hallways and elevators are immaculate. This is just a wonderful hotel. The closest to European luxury with space.
Beautiful spa and facilities
The restaurant closes too early.
Wonderful service, beautiful hotel. The beds and linens are very comfortable, as are the bath robes they lay out for you. We were celebrating a birthday and the extra touches were very much appreciated. The rooms can use a bit of updating, but all in all it was an excellent experience and will likely return again next year for another birthday celebration!
Great Location, rooms need renovated
We planned a quick last minute evening in the city and booked the hotel on a whim due to its location and proximity to our favorite part of town. In terms of location, this place can't be beat. You're within walking distance of what seems like hundreds of fantastic restaurants and highlife hotspots. The hotel staff is courteous and made us feel instantly welcomed and at home. My only criticism is that the room was a bit dated. It needs renovated. The shower definitely seen better days and looks like it was last done in the early 90s. The bed was very comfortable and we slept pretty good.
The hotel rooms were luxurious and left no stone unturned as far as comfort and cleanliness. They thought of everything even as far as robes, slippers, newspapers, umbrella.
The Rittenhouse is a luxury property of note in Philadelphia, PA and whether for a business or recreational visit, it places you in an idyllic spot in the city while surrounding you with comfort and convenience. While this beautifully designed hotel has an array of amenities that make it a destination all on its own, the location is also part of its appeal.
After all, it sits right on the charming Rittenhouse Square with its gardens and lush trees. It is also within easy walking distance of such popular attractions as the unique Mutter Museum, the stunning City Hall, the shops of Walnut Street and the city’s downtown district. Yet, you are also within easy reach of the UPENN campus across the river, the famous Museum of Art and the Zoo, and historic Liberty Bell Center in the oldest part of the town. The Philadelphia Airport is less than seven miles away and public transport is just a short walk, too.
Yet, the property itself boasts such an impressive list of services and amenities you may not wish to stray very far. There is a premium health club, a sauna and steam room, and the indoor pool. The signature Rittenhouse business center is available as well as a coffee shop in the lobby, overnight shoe shine, and luxurious Jaguar driver services from the hotel itself. There are round the clock concierge and room services, the Library Bar with free drinks, and even a salon. Four restaurants, a gift shop, and pet-friendly policies are also part of the appeal.
The Rittenhouse rooms and suites are all the epitome of refinement and include luxury linens, premium electronics, hot beverage stations, Wi-Fi, mini-bars, and spa-like baths.
