Location was beautiful, owner was incredibly accommodating, view was spectacular, and room exceeded expectations. A bit hot at night, a fan was available but maybe a better way to position it in front of the door would help? Compared to how wonderful our stay was, this was a very minor concern.
The village is situated on the coast, in a real pine forest. The sea view is breathtaking. Excellent food & wine at the restaurant. The village is 4 km far from Levanto on the up&down coast road-you can't walk on it. There's no bus, you have to take a taxi that costs 20 euro, to get to the train station. The sanitary's were from the '70, not suitable for a 4star residence.
The property is pretty and close to the sea. The price was ok compared to other hotels in the Cinque Terre. The staff at the office were not pleasant at all! (contrary to our other experiences in Italy). They did not have ANY information about the weather, or boat/ferry services in/around the Cinque Terre!
The view. The lack of promised internet access, heat only available during certain hours, no hand soap supplied, un comfortable sofa.
The view from the balcony is fantastic especially at sunset some of the should be available recreational facilities are either closed or not functioning properly during the period. rooms are too small. TV screen is a 14 inch and is very uncomfortable to watch. Towels are not approriately sized.no beach towels are available. room cleaning is not available. Access to the hotel is very difficult( narrow roads). It is too dangerous to walk to any of the nearby towns due to the lack of walking trails which compels you to use the car and face the associated severe parking shoratages in all those towns.
Gorgeous view of the mediterrian. Staff was very responsive when we had a problem with the hot water and all was fixed.
perfect location, great nature
The location and views are great. The property is old and in no way 4 star unless you are using a 10 star system!
Stunning views and relaxed atmosphere within a short drive to the Levanto train station (Cinque Terre). Villas show their age but who cares in such a beautiful location. We (2 couples) booked for 2 nights but stayed for 3 and would have liked to stay longer.
The view of the water was fabulous. The accomodations were very good and the resort ammenities were good too. The distance to the nearest town was 20 min. by foot over a rough trail. The lack of public transportation (bus or train) made us rely upon taxis and La Francesca staff to get to/from town.
calm, very good view and refreshing air insufficient equipment and old furniture.
The staff during our stay was very nice and extremely comfortable and tried to make us feel like we were at home.
A very kind staff, excelent food, a great hotel for those that like to discover italy... The location of the hotel. The road to the hotel can be exhausting...
Good hotel in 3 star category. The staff were excellent. Very good breakfast. Good value for money The room was noisy due to thin walls.
The hotel is wonderful!!!! ---
Arrived late as had difficulty finding hotel but the wonderfully helpful "Tania" reopened the kitchen and prepared a meal for us which was not only kind but also very tasty Way up in the mountain but dont let this stop you, it is worth every inch of the journey
Value for money hotel, a lot of space and facilities, but renovation is time to time missing.... Very good food at dinner, is recomended, other locations are too far away. A bit diffcult to find even with navigation device. Recomended arrival by daytime, hotel is placed in mountains with small roads.
The amazing friendliness of the owner, the excellent breakfast and the location on the mounains.
Nothing! We had to pay 80 euros for a taxi because they refused to come pick us up from the train station even though they have a van, which they used to drop us off in the middle of nowhere the next morning where we had to hope that a bus would pick us up. The place is a hunting lodge a good hour's drive into the mountains with nothing to do for miles. A terrible choice for any student or anyone not looking for a mountain get away. I wanted my money back.
everyone was so friendly. the food was really good and great value. the hotel was in a beautiful location. the windy road up to it, but then it is 900m up.
Lovely location beside a running stream. Fresh air and great base for Cinque Terre holiday. Room had a musty, moldy smell from bathroom which we mentioned to staff for future travellers.
We had a "junior suite" which was large, well designed interior with a terrace overlooking the mountains. The facillities are excellent and sometimes need explination: so hypermodern (minimum and maximum roomtemperature are computercontrolled from frontdesk, in the room is the manual thermostate). The restaurant is close by, so you can fully enjoy the marvellous wine collection. We suggested to the owner to put noice absorbers under the chairs because of the beautifully tiled floors. It will improve the comfort.
Nice short drive to Levanto. Next to hotel is an excellent restaurant.
the design, attentiveness of the owners, quiet and pleasant place, about 4 km from levanto where there's a local train to cinque terre. only pay tv
The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms are immaculately fitted out and prepared, the breakfast is great, there is a free shuttle to and from Levanto each day to the rail or boat terminus(you can also buy your Cinque Terre Pass at the hotel to avoid the crowds at the railway station). Free car parking on site. The associated restaurant next door serves perfect Italian food and wine with great service (and menu advice) at reasonable prices. One of the best experiences of our Italian holiday.
A very nice and new hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Around 10-15mins drive to train station for visiting Cinque Terre is OK for visitors travelling with cars.
The staff were great . The restaurant was excellent, very good value for the money. Hotel is located 15 minutes from the main station to take the train to go to the 5 Terre which is very convenient (cheap taxi shuttle is organised as well)
the position in the forest very quiet and very comfortable room.
Quiet, peaceful location, not far from the sea. Excellent adjoining restaurant with multilingual maitre d'. The hotel name could be displayed more visibly from the road. We went straight past it and had to ask 3 times before we eventually found it.
The staff were fantastic (husband & wife team) and very welcoming. The hotel is new and the rooms are spacious and very chic - breakfast was nice and the restaurant next door (run by the husband and owned by the wife's father) was excellent. The hotel setting is very tranquil and peaceful yet close to Cinque Terre and Levanto.
The service for this place was outstanding! Upon arriving, they gave our group of 4 welcome drinks (along with an extra bottle to take back to the room), and let us sample some incredible pesto. They recommended places to eat for dinner, and overall we really enjoyed their hospitality. The breakfast was great as well, included fruit and yogourt, which most places do not. Our room for 4 could have slept an additional person plus had a baby cot included.
Cherry was amazing. She accommodated to all of our needs. We were 4 girls backpacking Italy on a budget, but our stay felt like a real treat! The room was amazing, and the included breakfast was probably the best we've ever had. I will recommend this to anyone and everyone who tells me they're traveling to Cinque Terre!
We had a wonderful stay here - a girls trip from London for the weekend to walk the Cinque Terre. Our hostess Cherry was brilliant - made our trip!!
This is a great place and is rented by a wonderful couple that are very helpful.
The owners are wonderful, very accommodating. We had booked a four person room and showed up w/ 5 and didn't get charged any more. When I asked where to buy tea, she took me to a shop and bought it for me to place in the room. Best breakfast w/ meat, cheese, bread, jam, coffee, and pastries. Cute room, spaciously comfortable, t.v., loved the shower head, tea kettle in room and table!
Hotel Garden is nicely located close to the beach and the hiking trails. We hiked from Levanto to Monterosso and back (approx. 25 km.). Very beautiful. The breakfast was superb and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Parking was free but it was a 20 minute walk back to the hotel.
Fantastic hotel. So glad we chose to stay here rather than in one of the Cinque Terre villages. Levanto has so much to offer in terms of dining and shopping and having the ability to drive in and park for free was definitely a plus. Parking is a really short walk, no more than 10 minutes. The staff were very helpful and friendly and breakfast was great too. I would definitely stay again.
hotel staff was very nice very loud!! lots of street noise until after midnight and starting about 6:00a.m. and lots of noise from the hotel maids starting about 7:30 a.m.
Near the beach, friendly, English speaking staff, Clean room. A/c controls were difficult to figure out, so hot or cold.
Everything was perfect. I would highly reccommend it to friends . Great staff who spoke excellent English made it even more enjoyable. Two minutes walk to the beach with the best power shower in Italy to come back to. Plenty of good restaurrants within easy walking diatance to the hotel and the villages of the Cinque Terres at your doorstep. Great value for money !
Ease of registration, very helpful staff. The computer with internet, in the lobby, was very useful to help us with the rest of our trip. We had a great stay and the advice we asked for was accurate.
Spotlessly clean, engaging staff, excellent continental breakfast
The hotel was very clean and the room was a good size for value. Breakfast was not provided as was indicated on this site.
clean, value, great breakfast, free parking, friendly clerk who helped with bags no elevator, bit difficult to find
Hotel garden had well appointed large rooms which were value for money. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast served was excellent including lovely coffees. The hotel was well placed for the beach and the towns facilities. Lift didnt go to hotel reception floor
I experienced the hotel to have a very familiar and enjoyable atmosphere with clean, modern rooms and a rich breakfast.
Excellent location, lovely extremely helpful staff, Extremely large Appartment with kitchen and a balcony. The town itself is a great gateway to the Cinque Terre and has a sandy beach. The parking was in an enclosed garage right at the facility Everything exceeded our expectations
We loved the location, which is very central in Monterosso in easy walking distance to the train station and on the main street in Monterosso. Location could not be better. Hotel Employee at the front desk is wonderful, very helpful and friendly The only minus was that there was not one English channel on the TV. Everything else was perfect.
The hotel was in a great location very close to the center of town. It was clean and well put together. Wi-Fi (at the time) was not working. Also, the windows are right by the main walkway so you can hear people walking up/down outside. To be honest, though, the way the towns are in Cinque Terre, there really is no way to avoid this.
So many things ... Staff, room cleanliness, awesome breakfast served to the room ,location... Our room was a little bit small ,still, we had a sea view and we loved it so much that we stayed 3 nights.
One of the most amazing places I have stayed. Service was exceptional. Really beyond compare.
Staff was incredible and made our stay so enjoyable. Will be back for sure.
Best location, superb views of the bay and ocean. Excellent restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended - ask for sea view room No, we had a superior double room with a balcony. Superb views and the dining experience is probably the best in town.
We found all the staff at the hotel to be extremely courteous, helpful, and pleasant-natured; we particularly enjoyed the restaurant staff. Our room was small but comfortable and very clean. The main reason we had chosen the hotel was the promise of phenomenal views-- and we were not disappointed (we had a double room with a sea view). We had a couple of evening meals at the hotel's restaurant, and both were scrumptious. When we arrived in Monterosso by train we had to wait half an hour for our pre-booked taxi to arrive to take us to the hotel. However, that wasn't the hotel's fault. We would have appreciated coffee/tea making facilities in our room. A better functioning hair dryer would be good. But these are all minor points. Overall we were thrilled with our stay at this hotel.
the staff was exceptional, and the location was spectacular.
The location of this hotel is ideal. There is designated space on a private beach for convenience. Close walk to eating spots and is at the entrance of the Cinque terra trail going southeast. There is a complimentary shuttle from the train station to the hotel that we didnt know about until we reached the hotel via a long uphill trail. Please advise make use of the complimentary car service so you dont have to drag your bags up the steep hill. Our stay was lovely and wished we could stay longer!!
The view of the sea and Monterosso was great. Very easy to hear the people in the next room.
Hotel is located at excellent sea-view place. Staff have good hospitality.
Excellent location, for the price I would have expected a larger room with more updated features.
Service outstanding, views incredible, access to the Cinque Terra park was perfect!
The location was spectacular and the hotel staff was very accomodating and helpful.
Quiet, beautiful views of beach and shoreline, convenient for walking to Monterossa Old Town area and for hiking Cinque Terre trail to Vernazza. Felt the meal charges were somewhat high for quality.
