Our Danube view Room was huge. The location was wonderful, great view of the cathedral and the city, especially brilliant at night. This hotel caters particularly for business clients during the week. At the weekend there appeared to be busloads of tourists.
Walking distance to old city
The hotel is nicely situated on the Danube in the heart of Regensburg with beautiful views of the river and old town. It's a short walk from restaurants and bars. The staff are incredibly friendly and rooms are spacious and have all the facilities you would expect including free Wireless Internet. The wellness area is tiny and rooms can get very warm due to the lack of air conditioning.
Location, helpful reception staff, intriguing conversion of previous industrial building Finding it is difficult by road. Breakfast service was rushed, hectic and impersonal due to demand
Excellent view of the old city from the terraces of the Hotel, variety of food (breakfast)
Size of the room - quality of breakfast buffet - location After many years of use the carpet in the room looked used and not quite of optimal cleanlyness
The views from our room no, everything was excellent from start to finish
Great location, good restaurant, good staff
Welcoming Hotel staff, excellent hotel location in Regensburg, providing pretty good value for money We had the room upgraded as we wanted to have a room located away from the lift & service areas, as I have a 4 year old child (cost us an additional 13 EU), even though I requested this 5 days before our arrival via mail. However, I am surprised that this upgraded room and the normal level rooms do not include free tea or coffee making facilities !! Also, not too impressed with the TV service, only one channel of 24 programs in English language (even Eurosport was broadcast in German language). these 2 points disappointed me with regards to value for money !!
clean, cozy and perfect location
Rooms were charming and extremely clean, breakfast was wonderful, location is excellent to see Regensburg by foot. Parking was too far, no valet service.
Hotel had excellent central location, comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. Rooms a little small but adequate.
Room was warm, comfortable and modern. Location superb, right in heart of old town - could walk everywhere easily. Breakfast choice was excellent.
Excellent location, friendly staff, nice restaurant and a great value. None
The location: the hotel it is very near to the cathedral. The restaurant is very nice. The hotel does not have parking. The Hotel is in a very narrow street: you have to stop the car in front of the Hotel to drop the baggages, than you have to drive backwards (50 m) and park the car more than 1 km away (500 m on foot).
Lovely small hotel in great location right in the middle of the old town. My room was at the back but looked out towards the very close cathedral spires which were beautifully flood-lit at night. Room and facilities small but excellent. Friendly staff, good breakfast.
Great location for roaming through the old town, although that also adds quite a challenge for checking in, in terms of accessability. Parking garage was quite a hike away. Otherwise, pleasant stay.
The hotel is located in the middle of the city center and it's great for visiting the city Car parking is 1 km away from the hotel
Close to all amenities - right in the city centre of the hustle and bustle. Walking distance to all attractions. No taxi's required at any stage. There was no bath in our bedroom.
clean and spacious room with free wifi, nice breakfast with variety choices of breads and cereal a bit far from train station(15mins walk) but is however located at the old district near to the river donue
A special boutique hotel with every room having its own design, name and decoration. Very nice building, centrally located, terrific, hitech bathroom, spacious room and huge, comfortable bed. The breakfast room was somehow dark though cozy. The personnel could hardly communicate in english. As the hotel has a restaurant-bar on the ground floor, it may be noisy at night when windows stay open and people is sitting outside. The lack of elevator may be a problem in case of heavy luggage.
The room was big and clean and comfortable. Loved the cafe associated with the location. Great coffee! Good prices, excellent central location in a neat city. No elevator, so 50 steps up carrying heavy suitcases was a workout. Price for the room was rather high, but the location is excellent, and we were there for just one night. For a multi-night stay, we'd probably look for a better deal. :)
Great proximity to everything. Clean room, modern bathroom and very helpful staff.
The friendliness, hospitality and service from the owner and the staff were outstandingly good; better than excellent. The Hotel was well situated, beautifully appointed and superbly fitted out. There was a large selection of very good fresh food available every day for breakfast. We liked everything about the Hotel.
We loved everything about staying in this charming hotel - small hotel with large rooms and very modern fittings, loads of charm and extremely helpful and friendly staff...In a great location in the old town.
I wanted to stay in the old city of Regensburg and this hotel I found upon arrival was everthing I had expected based on the description on the website. It is beautifully appointed and althought my room was small (my choice in category) I would return there without hesitation and opt for a larger room
Perfect location right in the heart of the city, excellent breakfast, cosy room, helpful staff. No lift, (in our case) not possible to park on site
Nice atmosphere, perfectly preserved in this 18th century small, cozy hotel. Rooms are exceptionally clean and nicely decorated, bathroom is equiped with modern plumbing. Breakfast selection was modest, but fresh bread and scrambled eggs made it complete. Hotel staff was very polite and ready to help: we needed a charger for our Nokia and were surprised to get one immediately upon our request (taken out of a box with couple of dozens of chargers for other types of phones).
We stayed in the Pope Benedict 16th room (all the rooms have vaguely religious themes). It was charming, comfortable and spacious. Good value for money: €135 inc. breakfast. Excellent location for visiting Regensburg. Cheap parking nearby at the Theatre Parking lot. The breakfast buffet and breakfast room were not 4* level.
Wondeful rooms, though it was a bit hot while we were there, requiring the windows to be open and cafe/street noise can be bad. Great staff, great location. The breakfast buffet was delicious.
location. breakfast not included as well as parking facilities
Very pleasant and staff very friendly and helpful
Its position, its efficiency, very high standard of cleanliness and condition. Bar closed when we got back at around 10pm, had to use the adjoining place, full of rather odd people.
We loved the location in the middle of the old part of the city. The elevator situation was difficult for my elderly (84) father. It stopped between floor levels so luggage had to be dragged up or down a flight of stairs and he also had to climb up and down the stairs everytime we left the room to go anywhere.
First trial at this hotel under new management. The rooms are very nice Toilet very dirty at arrival, not cleaned at all ! Next day used glasses, with toothpaste inside were replaced as being clean. The price for the internet is extreme high, for this reason I would go to another hotel next time. I have been in this nice hotel before under other management, service and cleanliness were at a much higher level.
The building was stylish and very comfortable. Great breakfast and superb location too.
comfortable bed only one bathrobe
the situation of the hotel was excellent and the garden very agreable breakfast buffet could improve
Location is perfect.
Wonderful location in a beautiful German town. The staff is very nice, the room was clean and well-equipped. A tiny downside is the internet which worked but could work better. Highly recommended.
Very nice rooms. Very friendly staff. Easy walking distanced to everything you would like to see. I speak a little German, but it was helpful that the front desk staff spoke very good English.
The position of this hotel is great in the centre of the old town. Be careful, your GPS may not guide you correctly to this hotel but rely on the hotel's printed guide. We had a front room on the 4 th floor and the area was quite noisy with passing foot traffic on a friday night until very late.
The hotel is in the perfect location - one block from the Cathedral and one block from the Danube. The staff is excellent and very helpful, especially for a non-German speaking guest. Difficult to locate by car because of one way streets and signage.
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Modern decor, clean, yet cozy room with comfortable beds. Good, quiet air control system. Friendly service and great breakfast. Parking not so convenient. High cost of extra bed for kids.
Good size room and quality bathroom. The breakfast is of good quality.
Perfect location right in the old town. The hotel rooms were fantastic, The staff were all extremely pleasant and veery helpful. The hotel itself has aneat quirky side to it. Lots of art work and interesting rooms.
The is very nice, friendly atmosphere, everything works very well. Really I spent nice time there
nice rooms. central location. Good service. Everything that you would want in a hote.
This was our second stay and it was just as good as the first time. Excellent, friendly, and accommodating staff who speak English. Beautifully decorated for the holidays with rooms that are also nicely decorated and are clean and comfortable. Great location and excellent breakfast. Nothing.
Convenience to city sights Room was expensive relative to other places we stayed in Germany
The location was ideal. Room was fairly small and there was no air conditioning.
Everything. The location, the personnel, the upkeep of the rooms, the value of the place. Nothing
The location was very good. A little expensive. Not at all.
WLAN use in lobby only
I liked the fact that the hotel is very centrally placed and convenient for the meetings that I had scheduled.
I liked the traditional German character of the building and its position on the square. I liked the spaciousness of the hotel. The staff were very helpful. It was wonderful to be able to step out into the centre of Regensburg. The single down pillow was a bit soft and I would have liked more pillows so as to be able to sit up in bed reading.
Hotel was clean and comfortable! We had a mixture of staff - some very friendly and informative while others were very rude and impatient. Hotel is in a nice location - everything was in walking distance! No major complaints other than the rude receptionist.
Excellant location, right in one of the town centre plaza's. You can walk everywhere by foot.
We like how close to everything along with how claen and quiet the room was. no
Excellent position in the Altstadt, but awkward if you arrive by car. Spacious room (No.301). Excellent breakfast. Beds a bit on the firm side. Towels rather elderly.
We like to visit Regensburg. Everytime we try to find good place in old city. Location is excelent: small restaurants, boutiques... Fine.
The location was excellent and the we could not ask for a more comfortable room. We were catching the train and the location was very convenient
central location in the old town, staff very friendly and helpful
Very central location Slightly noisy outside at night
friendly staff room was lovely
Location - right in the middle of the old town. Accommodation - spotlessly clean. Room slightly on the small side but acceptable. Liked the mixture of new and old decor. Staff were v. freindly and helpful. Noisy at night at the front of hotel. Would request a room facing the rear of the hotel if returning.
Location was awesome! Hotel was very clean and the rooms were modernized. Bed was very comfortable.
Nice room. Free WiFi
Great location righ in the old town, the Fire room was designed lovingly with lots of gold and red and the bed was very comfortable, loved the little dining room and great views out over the square! Bathroom was compact but had a good shower. The cafe downstairs (which runs the hotel) is very friendly and a popular place. Hearty breakfast with unusual combinations of ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, fruit and salad. Choose from about 10 options on a list, and a huge basket of bread with endless refills of tea or coffee, could sit in there all day! Shame there is no tea making facilites in the room itself and no safe. Also the Fire room doesn't have a wardrobe which is a bit wierd, just some hooks and hangers on the wall, although there is loads of space in there. (the Air room has one). Be careful of the light switches, the plastic covers tend to fall off the wall if you press the bottom edge, (the trick is to hold it at the top edge for 2 secs). Other than a few impractical elements, which are obviously due to the design being more important than actual functionality, it was very luxurious and romantic!
General friendliness and helpfulness of the owners and cleanliness of the hotel as well as its great location.
Excellent location. Close to the train station and heart of Regensburg. Easy walk to castle and park and all the sites. Fine breakfast in lovely breakfast room. English spoken. No.
Beautiful individual rooms, with very helpful staff., Free bottle of wine excellent location Can't recommmned hihgly enough !
It was within walking distance of the main train station and easy to find. The breakfast was good. This is a small hotel, only 8 rooms, so interaction with the staff is brief, easy and friendly. The breakfast cook needs to be educated to be less intrusive in conversation with the patrons during breakfast.
Everything was great, the staff, the room, location. They gave me directions and recommendations on places to see and places to eat.
What I really appreciated about the hotel was the kindness, the welcome of the staff, the atmosphere was really familiar and natural, and I really liked that each room has an own style, mine was the India room and was really cute.
Everything. Pets allowed, excellent service, great breakfast, beautiful clean room, close to everything. It's more of a B&B, which is alright. But you might hear people going up and down the stairs during the day. Credit cards are not accepted.
We felt very welcome and also very comfortable in "Florida" with its extra sitting room. The location was excellent because it was possible to drive up to the hotel for loading/unloading but at the same time all the old town attractions were easy to reach on foot. The difficulty involved in finding a parking spot is an argument for trying to take the train. You can, however, get a 24-hour flat rate in a nearby parking garage.
Very nice establishment with very nice, happy helpful (and cute!) staff. Couldn't fault anything if I even wanted to. Situated right next to the castle gardens and back two streets from the night-life so was very quiet and peaceful, but loud if you wanted to be part of it and stumble home.
