Good staff. Excellent beer. Warm atmosphere. Room quite comfortable. Fabulous breakfast. Evening meal fair.
Crowded at 7.0pm and limited table space
Breakfast great and huge, dinner in the Bar fantastic ..Rye Bay scallops, staff super helpful and friendly. All in all a perfect spot for a break and of course a drink or two!
Breakfast freshly cooked and very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Room small but very comfortable and well fitted for an old property
The ability for residents to book a table for dinner. In consequence we dined out in other pubs restaurants.
The staff and the food, particularly breakfast were excellent and great location. A property with character and good ambience in the bar .
Stayed in Hythe room .Very noisy as directly above bar with no sound insulation.Impossible to sleep until after last customers had departed . Ear plugs supplied on bedside cabinet but they were not effective .Frustrating that it is not possible to reserve a table for lunch or dinner at this establishment . We were a party of 6 so we were obliged to go to other venues where we could book .
This is such an excellent place to stay to explore beautiful Rye, our room was wonderfully spacious and clean and perfectly located. The breakfast is the best I've had in a B&B, all fresh local produce and the most delicious bread and butter! The service was amazing from start to finish. The whole place had a wonderfully relaxed feeling. The owner even gave us some great tips for our onward travels in Hastings. Great value for money, would stay again in a heartbeat!
It was all fabulous!
