Lovely location in a beautiful little town We will definitely be back
Unfortunately our stay was cut short by corona virus, but the staff were very good and efficient in refunding our stay
Good location, clean and friendly staff
Additional £10 charge for a dog and the room and bathroom was cramped
Location was excellent and staff were really friendly.
The breakfast was fantastic, a small but good quality choice of continental items then a cooked breakfast to order, which was a large portion and delicious. I had drinks and dinner in the bar/restaurant, comfortable, good prices and great food. The location was very central and parking was available for free, right outside the hotel, which I really appreciated. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and I liked having a bath as well as a shower, and the ability to open the windows to air the room.
Only a couple of small quibbles, that are likely to be found in historic places like this. Firstly, there was a bit of noise to be heard from the corridor and neighbouring rooms but nothing serious. The hotel temperature in general was overheated for me and I had the room radiators turned off. I find this a lot in hotels - the temperature is often about 22-25C for some reason which I find far too hot for sleeping. Luckily I could open the window although this did introduce a bit of noise. I had trouble sleeping the first night because of this but got used to it by the second night. The hotel had provided a fan in the room as well.
location,breakfast, excellent veu
