Pros: excellent breakfast well located - near the bus stop good arrangement of remise for visiting Moon Valley and Talampaya good advice for lunch and dinner location special discount for charging less for being a solo traveller while occupying a double room

The owner speaks English and was happy to spend time talking to and advising guests. There is a lovely garden and outdoor pool too, all in the shade of trees and with the sounds of nature. Breakfast was beautifully presented and made with local and fresh ingredients. Hard to find better in Argentina or in our experiences worldwide. Stay here if you can!

7.9 Good
Pros: Room was well-equipped and as described, with two stories with kitchen downstairs and two single and one double bed upstairs. Heater both downstairs and upstairs (but heater only in room with the single beds, not the double). But blankets were plenty warm for the near-freezing weather. All stuff is old but usable.
Cons: Was a bit shocked when the manager lady slammed on the door at 10:30 to say she would have to charge me a half day if I don't check out right away. It took me a while to figure out that the listing DOES indeed say 10:00am checkout, which I wasn't expecting since I generally see 11 or 12 in other properties. Why don't they just choose 11 like so many other properties? I was happy to check out immediately, but the whole process was rather unfriendly. It is possible she specifically pointed this out to me the night before, but that leads to the second problem...I would not recommend staying here if your Spanish is as bad as mine. The manager lady does not speak English but will just go on in full-speed Spanish expecting me to understand, whether or not I have my Google Translate set up (note there is no 3G/LTE/... internet in this town, so you can't use Google Translate without WiFi and you can't use WiFi until you've gone through the check-in process, by which point you don't need it any more, sigh). WiFi unit is in the garden and so the signal is so-so in the rooms. All the kitchen and bathroom fixtures work but are fidgety (dripping water, etc.) and definitely need an update to higher-end hardware. A few other small things almost broken (window in bathroom hard to close due to bent barrel bolt, for example). This town is chock full of accommodation: there are probably better options for non-Spanish-speakers. I can sympathize with the manager lady's frustration, as she must get endless guests who only stay overnight and don't speak Spanish and don't get the rules like the checkout time, so perhaps another place would give both of you a smoother experience.
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff is friendly but note that they don't speak English, so it's handy if you speak some Spanish. There is a water boiler in the room so you can make tea.
Cons: The place is quite outdated, it needs maintenance. You get what you pay for, don't expect too much. Breakfast is very basic, it's brought to the room the night before and consists of 2 small breads, jam, coffee and tea for two people. Payment is cash only.
7.5 Good
Pros: The property was close on the center of town. Needs some updating. Luis and staff are very friendly. Luis can help with location of local sites, markets, gas stations, bank, what to see what not to bother with. Argentina eats bread for breakfast with coffee or tea. Luis brought a tray with Pan de Leña, butter, jam, Cocoa Puffs, coffee, tea and sugar daily at specified time. Very charming.
Cons: Keep in mind this is a small town and it’s summer so it’s hot and humid. The pool is very small so if more than four people are at the pool it’s a crowd. The individual picnic benches in common area is nice for sitting outdoors in the evening, have bug spray. There is no couch, only wood kitchen table chairs, the AC unit is upstairs in room D-4. Downstairs is just a ceiling fan. Kitchenette, needs update supplies but it was usable for boiling water for your instant coffee and tea in the mornings. Hot water is on solar heat so time your shower accordingly. Best in late afternoon before all other guests use up the supply. There are other higher priced hotels in town who might be more modern. This is within walking of everything. People are friendly.
6.7 Good
Pros: Convenient overnight stay between the nearby national parks. Nice small garden with seating outside.
Cons: WiFi was not great - had to sit outside the cabana. A bit out of town - need transport. Sufficient but not great.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything a traveler needs is present and OK. Private parking.
Cons: The WiFi signal was too weak inside the last room.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good that there is a place to stay nearby Ischigualasto. The cabanas were very clean. There is private parking space available. A few restaurants in the neighbourhood.
Cons: The village is not worth staying in. There’s pretty much nothing. Cabanas are very tiny. Walls are quite thin, so you hear everything what is going on outside. We have been kept awake for more than 3 hours due to the/a barking dog of the neighbours. Breakfast is poor: some croissants, sweet oastry, marmelade, coffee and tea, that’s it. No value for money. The day after we slept in Villa Union for almost the same price, but much more comfort.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff was kind and helpful. Location was close to nearby restaurants. Facilities were warm during the cold nights. The coffee served during breakfast was alright.
Cons: Parking was a tight. Bathroom was a bit cramped.
