Location is great, price was fair, view was good and bed was pretty comfortable. Room setup is kinda funky... The shower is open to the room with clear glass doors all around which would be a bit awkward depending who you're traveling with. There's a curtain to divide the room but it still weird... Cleaning is sub-par. Bleach stains on the floor never look good. Sink wasn't draining which was an easy fix for us but the faucet was hanging on like a loose tooth. Overall the room we had needs a good once-over. That was one of 1000+ rooms available so that might be different than many others.
location, close to shops and public transportation checking in reminded me of Las Vegas. Very slow and long lines. Rooms were very small. Toilet in closet like room next to shower with glass.
Location was great.... Loved the spa. The rooms are very comfortable. No free internet.
Staff was extremely helpful. Location. Great view. Tidy no fuss rooms. Price. Wifi sucked. (plus it cost 9€ a day— they were apologetic and did make adjustments.)
Very good location. Close to everything Rooms are a little small
It didn't take me long to figure out that customer service was not a main priority. I had to ask to have my air conditioner checked three times before they moved me to a different room. It was clearly an inconvenience 2 the customer service desk to do this. They also had me pack up all of my things and bring everything all the way down 28 floors before they would tell me where my new room would be. It would have taken a lot less time just to know and put my things on a cart and go directly to the room I was being transferred to. They did not say sorry for the inconvenience or anything. I even checked out a day early and they didn't even say anything about it. It was almost like, they looked at my situation as though it was my problem and why should they do anything for me? The fact that the staff did not care. The hotel is completely surrounded buy a square that smells like garbage and urine. There were protesters and police officers everywhere. Until late at night I could hear chanting over and over about Middle East War.
Price, location, view, breakfast. It was very warm in the hotel room. Too warm. The bathroom tub didn't drain well, and it was a hassle to get in/ get out of it. Concierge was not very helpful.
The Internet connection was not good. The speed was low and the connectivity was lost every now and then. To begin with, for a hotel like yours, it's already unacceptable that the Internet is not included in the price.
Excellent location with access to the trams, S and U bahn. Comprehensive breakfast that was more than adequate. Awkward transparent walls around the shower with only a white curtain surrounding it. Makes it a bit awkward if traveling with a friend.
The hotel location was good for seeing Berlin and the sights in the area. The bar was very nice and the young lady who entertained was very good. The staff at the front desk were not helpful and gave us bad information on where to go in Berlin. I was disappointed because most hotels I have stayed at around the world the staff almost always gives great places to go to and see. Their advice on where to go and eat were less than what I would expect from a staff of a major hotel The consierge comments, that there were not many things to do in Berlin, was so disappointing. We found on our own, some great things to do and see.
Great location only five minutes from metro and train stations, shopping centres and restaurants. Hotel clean and comfortable. Reception staff very efficient. Wifi extra charge (very expensive) in rooms and only free in reception area. Hotel expensive.
Very clean modern hotel, ideal location for our 1st trip to Berlin, would not hesitate to stay there again.
The location is really good. Breakfast excellent, good price. Room interior was really nice and bed was super. Next Berlin trip I will also stay with you.
Location is great. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Clean and very nice rooms. Next to great restaurants and transport. For a 5 star hotel, It seemed to lack some normal things would expect from them. The pool and exercise room were a bit small. No spa or other services on this. No doorman or service staff to bring up luggage. Concierge was only on duty for half the day.
accomodating spanish personnel street noise
Location Close to Friedrichstreet station Hotel Room should be cleaned better. We found dust on the floor and desktops near the bed. Courtesy of the reception staff can be Improved by simply saying 'Hello' when entering the Lobby.
Staff was wonderful. Clean ... great experience. Highly recommend this place. Will go back again when in Berlin.
Very nice room with nice amenitites Location was difficult to find.

Hotel was very well located. Close to main attractions, food and shopping and half a block from train station. Staff was helpful. We arrived early after a long train trip and they were able to acomcomodate us. Room was nice too. Room was very hot. We could not turn the heater down. We notified the hotel staff and they were able to lower the temperature a little bit but it was still warm. I woke up with a headache every day. It was the only inconvenience.
Very clean, very convenient location at train station, many restaurants around, centrally located. Did not eat at hotel at all. Could not get late check in. Did not try eating at hotel, many options just outside. Best was Dean and David salad bar... very fresh and many variations, just outside on a parallel alley.

Modern newly built hotel in the center of Berlin near to all sightseeing places. No wellness center or even a small gym with a few cardio machines.
Excellent hotel - friendly and helpful staff; great location. Hotel bar and restaurant expensive
The cleanliness of the rooms. spotless. very helpful & friendly staff. great breakfast. Location. I would have preferred to be closer to the main part of prenzlauer berg.
The hotel has a lot of amenities the rooms are super comfortable and it's very modern. Also the S station is right across the street. Their 14th floor bar and lounge is great too. The shower let's the water out into the bathroom floor not a big deal but it can be annoying. Most of the tourist venues and restaurants are a little far
good room sizes, well decorated and appointed, comfortable bed and great bathroom with both shower and bath, quiet but centrally located for Prinzlaursberg where we needed to be. Train station 1 min walk from entrance takes you all round Berlin so great connections. I had smoking room, my son not, but the lifts only operate with the specific room keys so he couldn't come visit me in my room (6th fl he was on 8th) so we always had to meet up on ground for first floor. Otherwise was perfect stay for us.
Location - even far from the center, stands just next to the sBhan that gives you a lot of immediate options for travel The are very convinient and modern Very good breakfast !! Restaurant - good one at the entrance floor Late night Bar- until 02:00 am and convinient to the visitor instead of going far sometimes. The distance - sometimes not allow you to make a short visit in the hotel during the day, even with the S/U Bahn Conferences - sometimes big one can be cozy.., but you are out anyway ...
The room was extremely quiet, and the beds were very comfortable. There is a lot of construction on the trams immediately in front of the hotel, which means they cannot be used.
the hotel and the room are both great for the price. new bathroom, nice amenities, ac that works (a rarity in berlin), good bed, free wifi, decent gym, and a great hotel restaurant -- with a chef who has a Michelin star. The only real downside is the neighborhood. I enjoy exploring a new neighborhood so I tried this out..turns out it's not a neighborhood, it's an intersection -- and one without awesome access to other better neighborhoods. So that's the downside, and it's a big one since Berlin has a bunch of great areas to try.
They have an excellent breakfast selection, always replenished. Breads, pastries, meats, fish, cheeses, eggs, fruit, yogurt, waffles, cereals, a variety of juices. The concierge does a great job. The showers and soaking tub are luxurious. The Skybar is attractive. The rooms are very modern with artful lighting. I've stayed twice. While some might find it a little distance from the central city, it's right on a tram and a train line. This gives easy access. The area has a variety of interesting points.
The staff was very helpful in assisting me with directions to different city locals, and with the use of the city transit system.
Loved the breakfast. Parking garage is under the hotel at €17 a day. Everything was clean, modern, and spacious. Public transportation is right outside. A short walk from the Europasportpark. Wi-Fi limited to 2 devices peer room, and once we tried to logout one and login a third device, none of our devices could connect. Extremely disappointing especially when everything else was so great.
Everything was basically OK: nice cafe and bars on the 12th & 14th overlooking the East Berlin, very good breakfast buffet. clean and comfortable rooms. No free drinking water in the rooms, which is standard in other hotels of such standard. The wellness center in the hotel was opened from 9 a.m. instead of 7 a.m. as it is stated in the hotel brochure.
Super clean and modern. Extremely friendly staff that spoke fluent English.
I liked the furniture, the atmosphere, the friendly staff, the room. The lobby is very wide, full of light and space: it makes a very good impression at first sight. Our room was confortable and well equipped. Good connection with the public means of transport. In front of the hotel there are an underground station and a tram station to go to the city center, the Prenzlauer Berg and to the Schoenefeld airport. The breakfast buffet is rich and tasteful. I even received greeting from the staff for my birthday. Everything was ok.
the aquarium is spectacular and the hotel at all is very modern; location is very good but still quiet (Museumsinsel) and for two to three nights the place is nice, many different restaurants, excellent breakfast rooms are small, no luggage service (you need to get your suitcases up yourself... and out again to the taxi... 5 star??), atmosphere of the main hall is like a 'railway station' - very strange acoustics and a kind of cold,
We loved the hotel...great location, beautiful decor, comfortable and clean, plus the Aqua Dom view was outstanding! We'd stay here again in a heartbeat (and we will be back!) Nothing!
Staff were efficient, friendly and accommodating. Our room was very comfortable and well designed. Room service and breakfasts were excellent.
service staff was very helpful and polite, above expectations room could be warmer
Great location near the museum island and Alexanderplatz. Friendly and helpful staff, original setting with huge acquarium in the hall. We had a double bed but it was actually two single beds joined together, uncomfortable gap between mattresses, not to be expected for a hotel of this level.
The magnificent aquarium, very helpful and polite hotel staff, very close taxi station, nice ambiance of the lobby the room temperature can be warmer, not enough english channels on the tv
the fact that a 5 star hotel did not include slippers and bathrobes in the room, and that the furniture was at ikea-level standards
The view of the aquarium from the room was super! Good location. The bar was a little pricey!
The staff, the balcony, the room and the aquriam.
Location was amazing. Lack of air conditioning, though I gather that's usual for Germany.
aquarium Staff not as professional as I would have expected - we arrived early and left our bag, were told they'd phone when room ready so we went for walk in snow and never got call. Also concierge tried to charge us for free internet.
The atmosphere and ambience of the hotel was amazing. All the facilities where top class, in particular the spectacular 15m high aquarium within the lobby area. this is well worth a visit alone.
Very efficient and superb location. Slow service for lobby guests and poor lunchtime cooking in Mark Brandenburg Restaurant.
location nor free wifi
Very nice place to stay Breakfast is extremely expensive.
good location and worthy of its star rating. The renovations were not too difficult to live with but did restrict easy movemnt around the hotel. looks like these will go on for a few months yet
Clean , reception decoration , nice staff , so many TV channels , real good curtains reflecting the sun very good. No water to drink in the room Separated beds for a couples Expensive breakfast No one answering the phone in the reception for many times The rooms are so small WiFi isn't free In they end , it's very normal 4 stars hotel nothing to impress.
Nothing The smell of the carpet in the new renovated floors, you pay 12.50 euros if you use the spa(what 5 star hotel does that??).
They wanted a print out of my receipt for the hotel booking as I booked through kayak. I didn't have a print out so caused a minor issue at checkin
Organised, cleanness, quite atmosphere, the amazing & comfortable location & the staff kindness). I didn't like that the internet is costly chargeable (This old system doesn't exist anywhere in the civil world anymore). The welcoming is not special (No welcoming water, fruits.....).
Large room with King Beds and large bath with shower and amenities. Located in safe area of town . We walked to most attractions. Subway was in front of hotel - very convenient. Wonderful breakfast feast was included in our pkg. good price! Wi-fi and internet in the Hiltons was outrageously expensive. $10.40 to print check-in for air travel. We walked to Starbucks for free internet.
Executive club previleges were great.
Very good restaurants and cafes close by. Many attractions within walking distance (Brandenburg Gate, Museum Island, etc.). The hotel charges 25 euro for in room internet access, and for the cost of the in-hotel laundry service, you can purchase a new wardrobe.
Location noise of the nightclub every night
Great location, close to train station, close to all of the tourist sites, close to nightlife and restaurants Floors were pretty dirty, it was a little pricey, tv acted up at times, only one shower head setting worked, no directions on how to use room ammenities such as tv, ac controls, ect
I liked the location, the modern decor, the very friendly staff, and cleanliness at a low price.
Room was cool (no COOLING or HEAT, though!). Lobby etc cool when you weren't stuck because the elevators weren't working. The transit pass is AWESOME, however... IF you can figure out where/how you're going. SHIT INTERNET! No AC or heat! I spent most of my downtime/travel planning at the Menninger hotel about 50 metres away. FREE internet for ALL (FAST, actually works) in their bar...so spent my $ there, instead of InterSHITTY.
The ambiance was wonderful. I loved the tasteful decor of the room and the lobby. The location is excellent. I wish the lobby was non-smoking or you would put the smokers in their own section. I couldn't enjoy sitting in the lobby because of all the smoke and therefore missed out on spending time listening to the music and enjoying the lovely setting.
It's truly a 5 star hotel, it makes your life better! The Bar (itself) in the lobby couldev been fancier, the hotel has A gorgeous lobby but the Bar is just ok. Ritz Carlton has a nicer bar(americain)
Kayak provided me with an amazing deal to stay at the Adlon Hotel! The room was spectacular: clean with awesome features Like temperature control, super comfortable beds (the most comfy beds I've ever had in a hotel). Breakfast was included...a stunning breakfast buffet including luxury features like Caviar...as well as champagne, Asian fried rice...a lovely buffet!! Our stay at the Adlon was unforgettable and I'm already looking forward to returning there one day! The Adlon hotel is a pricey hotel. Even the prices at the bar reflect that! Nevertheless an awesome place to stay if one likes luxury, cleanliness, and extreme friendly attentiveness from the staff!
The service level of your staff!!! excellent!
very nice comfortable hotel.reception.food.and launge nothing
The hotel is situated in the heart of Berlin and the connection to the international Airport Tegel is very good. The quality of the food, in several restaurants they have, is good but not very good. Therefore the prices of the dishes are way to expensive.
Location and helpfulness of consigiere services...landmark and historic hotel
Attention to detail. The daily brunch (included in my reservation) was spectacular - the food was not only plentiful but also delicious. On my birthday, I was served champagne with breakfast. Staff. Each staff member was courteous, helpful and most importantly, dedicated to service. If they did not know the answer, they would find it for you. Spa. After my conference I booked a day at the spa - the massage and facial therapists were professional, most capable, and pleasant to spend time with. Food. The onsite restaurants had expectional cuisine and the service was equally matched. I was a guest at the hotel for 5 days/4 nights. My mini-bar was not restocked for 2 days. There were no washcloths (which Americans use); however I was able to obtain them from the spa. Each day you had to create a new WiFi password.
Was very impressed by the care, attention to detail, and understanding of the staff at the Adlon Kempinsky Berlin. Sheer luxury not only in material terms, but in humane ones, too.
It was a marvellous experience from arrival to departure and I would not hesitate to recommend to friends.
The dining was great.
Location of hotel, spa drinks/meals costs high
Great value for my money and nice facilities.
Gorgeous decor and incredibly friendly and helpful staff - they were so good to us! We arrived well before the check in time started and they were still able to get us settled in to our room within minutes. For some reason, we were put in a room with two single beds? But honestly, we were so jet lagged it didn't really matter. The beds were VERY comfortable as well.
comfort and service nothing
good servise ....very clean ....good location...easy to to go anywhere....
Gym area was great with sauna etc. Room was huge and really modern. The staff were efficient and helpful, nothing too much effort. The bar is a luxury space and appears in local press as a place for cocktails and fine food. Access to the bath in my bathroom in 677 is difficult due to the layout. Steam and Sauna should be on durin the day on Saturday and Sunday for leisure but does not operate untill 5pm. I would expect toiletries to be a more designer brand in a hotel of this style.
Clean, kind and professional staff, good food (breakfast and dinner)
It was a really comfortable, clean hotel with friendly staff and close to a tram stop. Alexanderplatz only 2 stops away(5 mins). No complaints
Its a new hotel 15 days before i get to the hotel. Very modern and very clean, incredible location walking distance to alexander platz. In front has a tram station and a bus line.Very good option to stay there. The breakfast is very good and very complete
Internet should be free in an upscale professional hotel ! Other hotels in Berlin offers free internet in your room. 2-3 computers in the hall isn't enough.
I have not had a more friendly staff in my stays in Eurrope. a wee bit out but excellent tram service just outside hotel.
Totally relaxing beds were great ,after a day walking around Berlin it was somewhere you wanted to go back to not have to go back to. I have nothing bad to say.
Bedroom was excellent, good size, nice decor, great TV. Athmosphere in lobby area was buzzing.
Excellent front desk service - Tip on a very good restaurant - Sant Moritz
Very good breakfast and really good beds
Nice hotel, good servic and exelent bar. No
Very good for my taste. The breakfast was wonderfull and had almost everyting. It had a very good bar (live music) for the night. I believe internet access should be free. TV should have more channels in english.
I have stayed at the Grand Hotel Esplanade since it was built and it has maintained a high quality product; all rooms are comfortable and the staff is very supportive. The 100 bus stops a block away and will take you to touist destinations, get a transit pass at the train station to cover the days you will be going around. Although the hotel has enlarged the gym, it did so in removing some of the amenities such as the aroma therapy room, the juice, etc. bar, and the pool was too cold this trip. I also miss the frendly and delicious rstaurants that were previously available. Nevertheless, I would likely opt to stay there again.
Very enjoyable. I think that a separate shower cubicle should be provided rather than having the shower as part of the bath. The older clients, possible with arthritic joints, could find stepping in and out of the bath a shade uncomfortable.
Service and bar Internet is way way over priced, even for a business guy whose company pay for it
the design, layout, view from the room and the comfort made the stay relaxing.
central location - decor, boutique feel - bar / restraunt - large rooms No, al good
Nice warm feeling around hotel little bit far from city centre taxis extra cost
Wi fi charged additional
Great location, great room, great breakfast... Not enough time to use the gym and the swimming pool...
A geat Hotel close to Brandenberg Gate and Check Point Charlie Rooms was the best comfortable and the bathroom was the best facility that I have ever seen. Food was great will go back again in time for the Kris Kindle Mart in the end of November. Greg Greenwood ECC
Great position, excellent breakfast buffet, friendly staff
This Marriott is like the hundreds of Marriotts, nothing special. Reikstag is 10 min walk, the main shopping area is 15 min by car. Rooms have lots of space, big windows, comfortable beds.
Comfort staying in the most important part of the city
Excellent location for a citytrip, near Potsdamer Platz not far from the Brandenburger Tor and the Reichstag.
Nice location, just 2min.walk to the subway station. And we could see the Brandenburger gate and the parliament from the street in front of the hotel. Room was large enough to relax and very clean. The receptionist was so kind and gave much information about Berlin. Nothing.
We were waiting for check in and check out one hour. It is not possible in 5 star hotel, staff in the kitchen was not friendly,
Cleanliness, location Resturant was not a good value
I had access to the executive suite which was incredible. The shower was amazing and the TV was very nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We felt right at home.
Location, facilities The rooms were not cleaned weel. Children's menu: quite poor including quality of food.
Finding the hotel and parking Goggle maps has wrong location of hotel
Comfort and security.
H2 hotel fully booked on arrival, upgraded to Ramada next door, so this review relates to the Ramada.
The hotel was great - the staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, the rooms were remarcably clean. We liked the concept of the hotel.
Proximity to all of the sights I wanted to see during my stay in Berlin. The expensive breakfast.
We have now visited 5 cities in Germany. This is by far the best (up to North American standard) we have seen in Germany. The price happens also to be lowest. It even has a large bed, not normally seen in Germany. There is also a free computer access for internet (though only one). The location is quite good, within walking distance to the Museum Island and Unter den Linden Street. Only one computer for internet access. But better than none (usually the case in Germany).
Excellent breakfast & evening meals, good locatoin for sight seeing
Breakfast Their systems was break down when we arrived the otel, and reception clerks was not experienced people.
Quiet Staff, first, pretended he could not take my miles card (even after I insisted and sounded surprised about it) and seemed to be really upset about my question. Then another one (the supervisor?) said it was possible.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff / breakfast / comfort of rooms No free wireless internet
The hotel is OK. Good location. The staff, at least the one thet greeted us, useless and very rude. First floor rooms can be noisy and smelly (sewage)
Most of all I liked, that the hotel was 3 minutes walk from the metro station (Marchishes Museum-line u2). And it is close to the city centre (15-20 min walk), where you can walk and walk along the main sightseeings, until you get tired and then it will be easy to return to your hotel, that will be not far from you anyway. We liked breakfasts very much! They were really luxurious. Very various, rich and delicious. The room was OK-not big, not small, comfortable for a family with all necessary facilities.
Bed, Wifi, Staff
Nice hotel located in a good place to offer you the opportunity for visit Berlin.
The room was nicely decorated with all the necessities and a bit extra such as free coffee. The Cleaning ladies was very nice and supplied us, without us having to ask for it, with extra pillows. The process of ordering Breakfeast on the hotel room is badly described. The cleaning personel should be able to bring the request to the kitchen in stead of hanging it back into the room again.
Everything. The room and meeting facilities were excellent. Nothing (well, besides the weather).
We were very impressed with this hotel--our room was well-appointed and spacious, the staff was amazingly professional, helpful, and friendly, and the hotel was beautiful and in a perfect location. We stayed on the club level and we really enjoyed the lounge area--the breakfast was delicious and the staff there was particularly wonderful. We would recommend the Ritz-Carlton Berlin to anyone. We thought the internet access was way overpriced. It was available in the club level, but not as wifi--you could only use their computers. We paid enough for the room and parking--on the club level I think internet should be included or at least wifi available in the lounge.
Staff were "over the top" good. Club level had an added cost.
From the moment I arrived I was greeted warmly and treated like a valued guest. The service in all areas of the hotel was the best I have experienced at any hotel. The rooms are beautifully updated with very well appointed bathrooms. Entertained clients on three occasions at the Curtain Club. Could not have asked for better service. Nicholas in the Curtain Club should be commended for a job well done. This will certainly be my go to hotel in Berlin for future stays. Not a thing.
Location at Pottsdamer Platz is excellent; next to the former wall, and well located for easy access to most points in the city. Checking in on Sunday morning after a flight from the US, tends to be iffy, however, the Ritz had a room waiting for me, and were expecting me. The hotel interior is beautiful. Rooms are well appointed, large, especially for European standards, and very quiet. The bar and restaurant was excellent. Only quibble I had was with the gym: small, smelled, and illequiped.
Staff was amazing, wellness center beautiful Restaurants are fairly expensive
The quality of the rooms is second to none. The staff were polite and friendly. The lounge area with comfortable armchair seating and a fire was an excellent place to relax after a day's shopping. There were obviously high security guests staying and we had to walk a long way around to get back to the hotel as all the streets were cordoned off - as well as being scanned before entering. Having to explain to the police that we were staying there and had to go through was not straight forward and felt intimidating. Perhaps if we had been given some form of id other than the room key to show it would have been easier.
quality of breakfast quality of room service
Absolutely fabulously decorated, marvelous rooms..ranks with the best in which I have stayed, and I have stayed in nice hotels. love the heated bathroom floors. Wish it were on k'dam...but for tourist attractions, it is in a better location.
Location, rooms, TV screen, friendly, efficient staff Breakfast, while good, is overpriced. They should just make all rooms €15 per person per night more expensive, make breakfast inclusive, and charge the outlandish rate for non-guests. Oh, and put back roast potatoes into the breakfast menu! For those of us with cholesterol issues, all the eggs, cheese and sausages are useless, and make breakfast devoid of anything hot other than tea or coffee.
Very attentive and helpful staff in a beautiful facility. Chocolate Day special event was wonderful. The room was very nice but not warm enough. Hot chestnuts as pocket warmers are a nice touch. The heating system was not adequate for the cold weather and we had one whole day with no hot water. Breakfast is pricey.
Excelent club floor facilitioes( club lounge)
