It is situated in a very picturesque area and away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life but at the same time close to the city centre. Comfortable room, amazing facilities as well as very helpful staff! Buffet breakfast was delicious!
The room was always clean and the staff was very helpful. The view from the balcony was excellent and the pools are marvellous. Even the food was delicious.
I would have added only a rug in the bathroom. Everything else was great
Pools, relaxation, quietness
Breakfast is slightly disorganized, balconies are not private
Generally it lived up to the Kempinski name. It was a lovely experience, a peaceful setting and staff that took care of whatever you needed. I would go back again and again.
The food in the bar restaurant was less than inspiring, and not cheap as it is a Kempinski. I would recommend eating out in San Lawrenz or Gharb instead. The bed was not the most comfortable - too hard and pillows were not luxurious as in other Kempinskis. It would have been nice to have a sauna in addition to the steamroom and indoor pool.
Hotel staff were very helpful. Great customer service. Lots of families with kids and staff would seat families together as much as they could at breakfast so the kid noise was contained a bit. They tried but adults need to know that kids are a focus here.
The number of people with children made the beautiful spa area and restaurants difficult to relax in as an adult. Also, the breakfast was okay but none of the beautiful fruit that we found available all over Gozo and Malta was available on the buffet. The restaurant food was not very good. We paid 45 Euro's a piece for a seafood buffet on the night of arrival and it was not great. Great food in the small village restaurants surrounding the hotel, however, which is where we ate all of our dinners after our seafood buffet experience.
Excellent staff...nothing was too much but without being imposing.
Facilities were outstanding and the staff pleasant and efficient. And, on this occasion at least, all at a very reasonable price.
Staff engage with clients
Poor beds, heating off so very cold
The hotel facilities and grounds are both roomy and impressive. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, most with nice balconies. The problem is that the hotel is located in beautiful Gozo (think Ocean view), so all guests can see from those balconies are outdoor pools and inland Gozo.
Usually five-star hotels have wonderful locations with panoramic views. Such is not the case with this hotel, which faces inland and is very isolated. While the breakfast buffets were wonderful, the hotel's upscale restaurant is both very expensive and quite frankly not worth the money. The wait staff are too attentive, making it difficult to enjoy the food and the people you are with.
