Pros: - Adults only
- Exceptional service
- Shuttle service within Wailea
- Boutique'ness of the hotel
Cons: - Breakfast not included
Pros: There wasn't anything not to like... The staff was friendly and engaging. The rooms were perfect - provided the necessary privacy, clean, and provided just the right amount of space for the two of us. We had to motivate each other to leave the suite! The amenities were excellent. The cabanas around the pool were a perfect space to lounge, and the drinks were as good as it gets... The best Mai tai we had on the island!
Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a slower pace.
Cons: Maui in general is an expensive destination... Felt like the price was on par with the rest of the island.
Pros: The suites were fantasic, the pool was to die for with the cabanas if you could find one. Prices were high but it what you expect with a higher end hotel. Staff were great and accommodating. There were a lot of renovations going on but saw a lot of potential with the right foresight
Cons: It had a lot of renovations going on. Needed change rooms near the pool with showers. There was a big space below the restaurant that was not being utilized to it full potential
Pros: It was the perfect escape from the mega-resorts that line the beaches, while still being extremely convenient. The staff was amazing, our room was newly renovated and well decorated, and the bar made delicious cocktails. Oh, and free yoga most mornings! Just what we were looking for.
Cons: The gym hasn't been renovated yet, but then again, you probably shouldn't spend much time inside working out with so much to explore.

Pros: If you have the money, go to Four Seasons!
Impeccable service, beautiful room, and adult only pool made a very good impression for me and my wife!
Pros: Serenity pool

Marble bathrooms include soaking tubs, separate showers, and designer bath products. Flat-panel televisions come with DVD players. Rooms also include iHome clock radios and wired and wireless Internet access. Housekeeping is provided twice each day. All accommodations are non-smoking.
Pros: This place is beautiful... almost heaven-like. The pools are separated into mini pools so you can hang out by yourself or with your own group that gives you the feeling of you own the entire pool. The garden is just beautiful. Staff are friendly and attentive.
Cons: Housekeeping is not very thorough sometimes, but still gets an A-. Not too thrilled about having to pay $30/night for valet parking. And feeling obligated to tip them every time we need to get our car or have it parked. The resort fee of $40/night should include valet parking.
At Montage Kapalua Bay, you'll have access to onsite snorkeling, surfing/boogie boarding, and kayaking. The outdoor pool provides a splash of fun, while guests in the mood for pampering can visit the spa to indulge in sports massages, body wraps, and body scrubs. Offering ocean views, Sunset Patio serves American cuisine and is open for lunch. There are 2 poolside bars and 3 bars/lounges at this luxurious property, along with in-room conveniences like kitchens and washers/dryers.
Pros: Tip top service. Great hospitality- would come back to Andaz.
Pros: Having just returned from the Andaz Maui and couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff especially is just lovely.
Pros: Staff was extremely professional. Very clean. Comfortable. Great location . Awesome beaches. Great food
Pros: Staff was friendly, non- elitist. Hotel was clean, modern, on trend. Cocktails were the best we had on maui.
Cons: Pretty much nothing. We will definitely be back

Sitting along the Wailea Beach Walk and just minutes to the Shops at Wailea, Andaz Maui offers 300 guestrooms, suites and luxury villas, 5 ocean-facing pools, plus world-class dining in Ka'ana Kitchen or Morimoto Maui, and the award-winning Awili Spa & Salon.
Pros: Amazing honeymoon location! Very beautiful grounds and beach location. Would definitely stay here again, and look forward to it!
Cons: Just a couple negatives: First, every restaurant is extremely pricey. We ended up going into to Wailea and Kihei to find some local restaurants that were even better food for a more affordable price. Second, and this was just our room which was Garden View, they held weddings and events directly below us in their event space and we could hear every word/song. The front desk told us the wedding would be over by 11pm but it went until after 12. We didn't have kids so it was fine, but would have been really annoying if we were trying to sleep!
Pros: great rooms.
Cons: felt corporate and rushed. has great potential but was difficult to "relax" when outside the room. green space is completed covered with lawn chairs, making it feel cramped.
Pros: Beautiful property, great beach and pool. Huge suites with everything you need.
Cons: Musty smell in room but hotel changed filters right away to ameliorate the problem. On site restaurants are expensive.
Pros: Beautiful property with great service. Vacationed there with a 1 and 11 year old. Suite room worked out great and we enjoyed our large lanai. Highly recommend!
Pros: Have stayed here multiple times and enjoyed each visit. You can't beat the rooms (all suites). The suites are always clean and spacious. Upgrade to partial or full ocean view and you won't be disappointed.
Pros: Separate living room, huge luxury bath with amazing water pressure, fabulous bed, & lovely balcony. Some ocean views better than others. Several great restaurants on site, great daily breakfast buffet, three swimming pools( one is for over 18) , many areas to sunbath, ocean front with lounge chairs, beautiful, dramatic lobby, concierge service, valet.
Cons: Cost. In house laundry lost our clothes several times, attendant on beach was rude about loung chairs-several times, front desk did not send up bellman when asked. Toilet ran for days, but after the first two repair calls didn't work, they upgraded us to a better room.
Pros: Service was personalized and discreet. They took time to call me by name. Ambiance was family friendly yet upscale. Grounds are well kept
Cons: Food and drink are very pricey. Property seems a little dated, could use an update.
Pros: I've stayed at many 4 and 5 star hotels. This was my first time at the Fairmont Kealani. I thought the rooms were nice and spacious. I liked that the pool side was relaxed and accommodating, opened 24 hours. I would definitely come back again.
Cons: At the time there was only one hot tub...would have been nice if there were more. Also pool side gets busy early so reserve your spot by 8am.
Pros: Everything about this place. It is just a wonderful place to stay regardless of the purpose of your stay.
Pros: view, location on beach, staff, overall service.
Cons: daily resort fee charging for many things you may not use, we were given a discounted upgrade to a room with a view, but it was right over the meeting facilities and two days of our stay major events were just below our window and were noisy and disruptive and when we exited the elevator they were right there in our way., the cell phone coverage was bad, the room service kitchen did not know what a margherita pizza was supposed to have on it.
Pros: Restaurants are excellent as well as pool side food and drink service. Pool side menu was more expensive than expected.
Cons: An outdoor convention of Trial Lawyers Assoc. was held in the open grass area outside our lanai, both morning and night for two days. Loud speakers, music and announcements heard inside our room even with the sliders closed.
The luxury Fairmont Kea Lani resort is ideally located on Maui's Wailea coast and is Hawaii's only all-suite and villa oceanfront resort. Featuring the award-winning Willow Stream Spa, three swimming pools including an adults only pool, 140 foot waterslide, inspiring fitness and wellness classes, authentic Hawaiian cultural activities, and four unique restaurants including award-winning Ko.
Pros: We went on our honeymoon and had a great time. Nice and private
Pros: Amazing service
Pros: The space, the unnoticeable but well prepared luxury and services. Cleanness, location, choice of programs, overall hospitality.
Pros: Clean and uodated facilities and room. Excellent customer service and attention to detail. The grounds and gardens are beautiful. The on site seaside cliff is spectacular.
Cons: Beach area was nice and secluded but small.
Pros: There is simply no better location in Maui
Cons: Activity concierge was not really ahead of its game
Pros: Stephen the valet set the tone from the moment he opened my wife's car door, escorted us to check-in, and down to our pool terrace room. His courtesy and hospitable attitude was echoed by the front desk, concierge, restaurant and housekeeping staff. Comfortable King bed room included a chaise lounge, desk, bench at foot of bed, huge LED TV and spa bath. In room coffee/tea and fridge for our own snacks/drinks. Clean clean clean. Excellence and luxury throughout. Amazing shore, pool areas, walking trails... Peaceful location above the fray of the more populated costal areas -- but only about a 15-minute ride to Lahaina with its lively stores, restaurants, and harbor activities, We know where we will be staying on Maui. Bravo!
Pros: Large well-appointed rooms...gorgeous beach.
Concierge team was excellent, especially Shelly.
Pros: Friendliness of staff, club floor with lounge access, quality of food, comfort of room, ultr cleanliness of room, luxury of hotel
Pros: Food was excellent.
Pros: Amazing service! Perfect for our honeymoon with exceptional service, great location, beautiful ocean front grounds.

Cons: I booked the hotel room, paid for it, and when I showed up they told me I wasn't in the system and I couldn't stay there. What?!! Terrible front desk person who wouldn't let me stay at the hotel even though I showed her my receipt of payment for the room. Never again. I would not recommend this place unless you're sure they will give you your room.
Pros: Elegant service, warm staff, Hawaiian cultural programs, horticultural tour
Cons: Restaurant staff seemed hastled

the owner/operator and super nice and friendly. Her local knowledge really helped us make the most of our time. The doors have a key code entry, which is nice because we checked in really late and just got the code from her. Also makes it convenient because you're not worried about the keys all the time.
Pros: Can't beat the price and value. Room was well appointed, very clean, with modern upgrades. Wifi was fast too.
Cons: There is no commercial kitchen on the premises, so they cannot prepare breakfast for you. So only a continental breakfast is available. But it's still a nice spread. Best part, IMHO is the panini maker.
This Maui, Hawaii bed and breakfast is less than a kilometer from Kamaole Beach Park III and has views of the West Maui Mountains. Free Wi-Fi access is available. Rooms at Maui What a Wonderful World Bed & Breakfast feature a seating area and a private bathroom. They are equipped with a flat-screen TV and a refrigerator. A continental breakfast is served every morning on the open-air lanai at Maui What a Wonderful World Bed & Breakfast. The inn’s hosts have lots of local knowledge to help you plan your stay. The Shops at Wailea are 2 miles from Maui What a Wonderful World Bed & Breakfast. Wailea Blue Golf Course is 2.8 miles away.
Pros: The scene was picture perfect and the staff was amazing.
Pros: My wife and I loved the resort. It was a beautiful location very well maintained. The staff made our stay extra special. I had ordered flowers for our room. When we arrived, we also had a bottle of champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries. I wanted the stay to be special for my wife, they definitely made it so.
The resort was being remodeled, that did take away at all, Now we have a the goal of returning afterwards to see how much nicer they make it.
Pros: The infinity pool and waterfront location are nice, although the beach is not right in front of the property.
Cons: The construction and service were horrible!!!we could not even open our curtains because the construction guys were right there! You also get Nickle and dined for everything, including renting cabanas and snorkel gear.
Cons: Much of hotel was closed under renovation
We were not told it was under renovation
Poor signage while under renovation
Pros: The pool, beach, and our lower level rooms were not affected by construction. It was not very intrusive and I hardly noticed. The updated room was very nice. Service was very friendly and I didn't get any uncaring vibes from any of the staff I encountered.
Cons: Unfortunately the kids pool area was under construction, but we made due with the main family pool. We stayed away from the adult only pool so I can't comment on that. For young kids, any pool is great. But this one was too deep in most parts for really young kids like ours. But they still had fun of course.
Pros: Location on the beach. Pools, view, and staff were great!
Cons: The pullout bed for our kids was a bummer. Room was a bit dated.
Pros: Had a conference next door at Grand Wailea and did not have young kids or family with me so did not want the extra expense of staying there. This was so convenient with walking path to the Grand Wailea along the ocean and more affordable. Liked that the shops of Wailea were right next door also. Walking path to near by beaches was great. Attended the luau at the Marriott which was very fun I would stay here again
Cons: There was no beach in front of the hotel but not much of an issue. Look forward to the renovations being done.
Pros: Rooms were clean, big. Great location, near the Wailea mall/shops/restaurants and a short drive to Kihei. Good walking/running path connecting the hotel to other properties and beaches. Infinity Pool was nice when it wasn't over-crowded.
Cons: Too many people at the pool, reserving space and not using chairs. Staff was worthless at times. Had a terrible room location at the beginning of our stay, but moved after one night. Will be a lot better when the second pool is finished. Resort fee doesn't include parking, so you're paying an extra $50ish/night in fees and parking.
Pros: Location is great.
Resort was quiet and comfortable.
Very nice pool with good service.
Cons: Staff was not very attentive - poor directions to the room.
Restaurants were disappointing.
Parking fees are high ($25 per day adds up...)
Pros: nice location, right in wailea and near the (overpriced) shops at wailea. if you are going to spend multiple days shopping there this is a good hotel as you can just walk there. as with all resorts in wailea (except the makena prince) they charge resort and parking fees. service and staff were nice and professional. you can get a no view "resort room" for a decent price, but price starts escalating quickly as you get water views; standard.
Cons: the adults only / infinity pool was nice, but crowded due to the main pool being closed for renovation. the only hot tub was also being renovated so that didn't exist. very large and spread out and depending on where located could be a walk to get anywhere.
Pros: Friendly staff have us a nice room After we complained After the First night.
Adults only Pool was great with good service but pricy (200 USD for a cabana for a day).
Nice snorkeling at the closeby beach.
Cons: Restaurant too expensive,
30 USD resort fee per day just to get Internet and 2 Mai Tai
Self Parking 25 $ per day.

Pros: The hotel had a very old-world charm to it without being run down. Rooms were spacious. The pool was very clean and private even though it was a two minute walk to front street in Lahaina. Nicely situated. Wish were could have stayed longer.
At The Plantation Inn, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Kaanapali Beach. After having fun at the outdoor pool, you can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. Rooms at this Victorian hotel feature bonuses like washers/dryers and refrigerators, along with balconies and DVD players.
Pros: The amenities and location can't be beat. The apartments come with fully equipped kitchens, there's a Safeway just a 10 min drive away and a mall next door with restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Free laundry option.
Right by the beach, nice sand. Super friendly staff.
This exclusive luxury condominium boasts an incredibly convenient location on Maui's most famous beach at Kaanapali. It's directly across two championship golf courses and adjacent to Whaler's Village Shopping Center. The landscaped garden courtyard features a waterfall and koi pond, and every unit offers a full kitchen and a spectacular view.
Pros: Great location. Nicely appointed room. Great lobby. Food was very good.
Cons: Stayed Feb. 2016 4 nights. We were on ground level and discovered a cockroach in our bed after our first night. Management was quick to respond as we requested the room be sprayed. Next day we came back to the room to discover a small lizard hanging on the inside drapes (we had never opened the balcony doors). We requested a change of room thinking we wanted off of ground level and they moved us up to the sixth floor. Cockroaches were even a worse problem. Again discovered a cockroach in our bed and when you turned the light on in the bathroom they ran off the counter. Front desk clerk suggested that this was possible in a tropical climate. This was our third stay on the islands and the first time we ever encountered cockroaches. Management needs to be more proactive with a pest control program. Made for an uncomfortable stay and would not return. Not good value for the money!
Pros: The pool side restaurant was fair priced for food and drinks. Both of which were prepared very well. Breakfast at the main restaurant at the front of the hotel was also very nice. The one bedroom suite was spacious and nicely appointed. It was very clean as were the hallways and common areas. Front desk employees very pleasant. I am sure we will return.
Cons: We are not big pool people; but, the pool area and the chair seating area is not large. The hotel is on the opposite side of the ocean which might disappoint some, we knew where it was located and we were fine with that.
Cons: bar was for young only
Pros: Very well-run hotel that has given a lot of thought to amenities.
Cons: Bathrooms were a bit small.
Cons: some irritant in the room caused cough- air conditioner, carpets. Needs updating
Pros: The hotel was wonderful, very beautiful facility. The staff was wonderfully friendly. Very nice facility and grounds.
Pros: I stayed at this hotel for the first time 2 years ago and had a good experience.
I had a 1-bedroom suite and it is perfect for an extended stay. The rooms are very roomy and comfortable here.
Cons: Some of the front desk staff were not very friendly or attentive. I found the porters and the housekeepers to be the most friendly and would greet me with a smile and say hello. The front desk staff looked bored and every time that I walked up to the front desk, they were looking at their monitors and it took them some time to finally look up to greet me (without a smile). Not sure why they have to be looking at their monitors when no guest is at the front desk. They should be trained to be aware of who is walking up to the front desk and raise their head and make eye contact with the guest that is approaching the desk. This happened each time I approached the desk and there was no guest at the front desk and the staff were not on the phone. Not sure what was so interesting on their monitor. Leads me to believe that they are surfing the internet or something......
Pros: Loved that it was just a short walk to the beach. And the staff were super friendly which was great.
Cons: There's an additional $20/day resort fee.
Pros: The room is fantastic and the bed was super comfortable! And amenities! Oh the amenities....
Cons: The pool could have been more appealing especially since you HAVE to pay the resort fee.
Cons: Black mold in bathroom!!!!
Pros: I was pleasantly surprised with how affordable and accessible this hotel is. You're a short 5-minute walk from one of the best beaches on the island (there are many).
There entire hotel was very clean and the hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
I will absolutely be booking with Maui Coast Hotel the next time I head to back. I am a resident of Honolulu, on the island of Oahu, and am familiar with many hotels - this hotel has a charm and simple beauty that couples with price and easy access to the beach for an excellent choice.
Cons: There's a standard daily fee of $20 a day(typical) for access to things like the wireless internet network and the pool, but the reason I state this as a negative is that they are not very clear about this charge initially and there's no way to decline the facilities for removal of the charge. Again, not a big deal but I felt I should mention it.
Centrally located in Kihei, this Maui hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants, near Kamaole Beach Park, three miles from Wailea Resort, and seven miles from the Maui Ocean Center.
Guests enjoy the large outdoor pool, children's wading pool, and spa tubs. A swimming beach is located across the street. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available at Kama'ole Poolside Cafe. A complimentary area shuttle is provided to Kihei and Wailea (upon request and subject to availability), and parking is free during stay. Computers with Internet access are available in the lobby, and the hotel also features a conference room. Tennis courts and fitness equipment are on site.
Accommodations at the Maui Coast Hotel are furnished with island décor and provide lanais, compact refrigerators, microwaves, and coffeemakers. The air-conditioned rooms also feature in-room safes, MP3 docking stations, and wired and wireless Internet access (complimentary).
Cons: I ended up with what I think we're bed bug bites. I had them on my wrists, ankles and feet. The place was very nice and comfortable. The cleaning lady even did the dishes. I've never had bed bug bites before. I was there three days. I had no problems until the third day. I moved here and am still on Maui all cleared up after I checked out.
Cons: Didn't realize it was a GLTG friendly condo until we got there. I guess I didn't read the small print but it was not a big deal for my husband and I. It was a nice location and the statt were very pleasant.
Pros: The staff were really helpful. Our room was okay, but rather than an armchair and desk, maybe a small couch would have been better for comfort.
Pros: cozy and warm
Cons: Amenities like bathroom sinks and toilets are old and needs renovating.
Pros: The front desk staff were very informative about all the best restaurants and activities. They were very helpful. Also, the gardens there are beautiful.
Pros: The staff and the hotel are amazing! I did not want to leave. For the price and location this Hotel cannot be beat! I want to go back right now!
Cons: Nothing ..... other than they could not make time stand still!
Pros: The hotel was relatively quiet, price, location, friendly staff
Cons: Ceiling fan broke everytime we tried to turn it on, kitchen faucet almost falling apart but was replaced mid stay. Bathrooms and Kitchen could use some good bleach.

Pros: Loved the 2 pull out couches in the living room and fully stocked kitchen and the option to check out late at an extra cost allowed us to make the most of our last day.
Pros: We stayed a whole week. They have everything you need in the condo. It was super clean and comfortable . The whole property was very well taken care of . Very beautiful ! We highly recommend staying here . We will definitely stay here again
Pros: Property is in great location near Napili Bay and Kapalua.
Pros: The extra twin pullout couch, the staff was friendly,
Cons: Need another hot tub and a little convenient store with toiletries snacks and liquor and maybe some little groceries that we might have forgotten to bring. I didn't like the shower it was hard to rinse off.

All guest rooms provide kitchens with microwaves and refrigerators. Guestrooms are accessible via exterior corridors. Please note: air conditioning is not available.
Pros: Location. The view. The beautiful park like gardens. The bathroom was very nice.
Cons: The hotel messed up our booking. The famous water elevator didn't work. Cleaning happened very late and one day only after asking. The doors so are thin that everyone walking by sounds like they're inside the room. Too few pool chairs. 7 waterslides - 5 of them are a joke. The coffee shop has a pathetic supply of goods. The gym is average.
Pros: Landscaping and Christmas decorations were done well; bell hop, valet, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were very pleasant.
Cons: The environment was very busy (family groups and children were the major customers, resulting in lots of little ones running about the resort). It's not a very relaxing atmosphere for folks looking for a quiet getaway from the busy aspects of everyday life. Attention to cleanliness was subpar to expectations (missing tissue box; (not requested) playpen was present in box on floor in main room; balcony rails had dirt residue throughout; light switches were dirty for misaligned--due for replacement). We asked valet to retrieve our vehicle, but valet staff did not alert us of our car's arrival resulting in a 15-min wait until we finally asked what had taken so long. Greeting staff in lobby failed to provide lei to my fellow traveller upon her arrival despite it being a customary practice for all guests.
Pros: Staff was all very friendly and helpful.
Our room was beautiful and very comfortable.
I love the lotions, linens and towels.
Pools and beach are marvelous.
Breakfast buffet is delicious.
I enjoyed the visiting jewelers and artists
Pros: It was so beautiful. They put flowers on the bed and the room was beautiful. We ordered room service in the morning and the food was amazing! I can't wait to go back to this beautiful resort.
Daily Resort Charge will be added to the room rate and includes: Guest internet access; beach umbrellas; admission twice daily scuba clinics; 45-minute photography session; beach cruiser bikes; yoga classes; scheduled cultural, garden, and art tours; local/toll-free calls Overlooking the southern shores of Maui, the Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel is a 40-acre property provides open spaces for the active vacationer, beauty for romantic getaways and fun for the whole family. Set on 40 meticulously landscaped acres fronting Wailea Beach, the Grand Wailea celebrates the aloha spirit. The enchantment begins upon arrival with a lei greeting and continues as you soak up sunshine to the whispers of palm trees. Explore the beach and pools by day, then dine by torchlight after viewing a spectacular sunset. Sparkling fountains, koi ponds, and a priceless collection of art delight and captivate at every turn.
Pros: The hotel staff was very friendly, accommodating, and generous. We loved the warm, family friendly atmosphere of the hotel. The Easter activities were particularly fun for our children.
Cons: No custom omelette or fresh waffle station at breakfast.
Pros: I almost love everything - the breakfast, the pool, the beach, the classy atmosphere, the birds, etc. I want to mention, in particular, the staff at the breakfast. They treated us so well, especially Ludi.
Pros: Wish I was still there. I left my camera charger in the room. They shipped it back to me. Loved it and would stay again if I can.
Cons: Lots of hidden fees. Overpriced food and drinks. They would not give me a complete bill when I checked out. Cost to park my vehicle!
Pros: Nice room, cleanly, beach front, nice pool area and not too bad a price for the area...being close to Lahaina was great!
Cons: The hotel room we stayed in was a bit of a ways from the lobby and we had to walk through a row of shops to get to the front, but towards the end it wasnt that bad being away from commotion. The breakfast was expensive for what was being offered. It wasnt bad, just not worth $30/person. Parking was $18/day which hurt after we were there for so many days.
Pros: Top shelf overall.
Cons: The beach. Too much coral and rock.
Pros: The view was stunning, and the amenities top notch.
Cons: That I was unable to stay longer.
Pros: The design of the resort: the pools, the waterfalls, the wildlife lawns, etc. The staff are consistently nice and patient, the shuttle service within Ka'anapoli area, the size of the rooms. Compares to other resorts in the area such as Marriott and Westin, Hyatt's rate is very reasonable about average of $350/night.
Cons: Son'z restaurant food was terrible for 5-star, fine-dinning categorization. The popcorn ceilings in the rooms can be upgraded. It has no beach - we'd have to walk further the Marriott resort for the beach. Hyatt should do a better job enforcing the no-smoking policy on floors designated as non-smoking floors, it's never pleasant to be out on lanai and having to deal with someone next to your unit smoking up a storm.
Pros: It was a nice $200 a night hotel. Unfortunately I paid $600 a night
Cons: The valet took 15 minutes to get our car and I had to ask twice to get the car. Two of the three elevators were broken so we eventually carried out bags down 5 flights of stairs after waiting 10 minutes. The bartender used his hands to put ice in people's glasss.
Pros: room service was awesome...food outstanding. Front desk personnel were very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Went to Japengo for dinner...sat us in the lounge area...even though the lanai was ready for seating and to catch the sunset...were told it wasn't open yet although hours of operation stated 5:30...sat with our backs to the water and couldn't see the sunset through the bar...after 10 minutes about 20 Japanese tourists were seated in the restaurant. felt shunned.
The floor/carpet was dirty in our room (201). Nasty stains (by the nightstands and throughout the floor) we wore slippahs in the room! Coming from Honolulu, expected more. We were on the second floor and couldn't sit on our lanai since the people next door were out there smoking cigarettes and it smelled disgusting. For $400/night felt ripped off!
Also feel parking should be a couple dollars a day...not $16! Then an additional $30 hotel fee???? Hyatt residence club employees were shoving the "timeshare" experience down our throats! Didn't spend that kind of money to try to be persuaded to purchase anything.
Pros: * People/service was great!
* View of ocean from room was wonderful
* always restocked amenities everyday
* very clean bathrooms, room, lobby, etc.
* Food was very good
Cons: Everything was overpriced, but we were in Maui, and Hawaii is expensive ... getting there is only the beginning when it comes to spending $$$$

Pros: Breakfast is nice (tons of fresh fruit), great beach access, well maintained facilities, quiet, family friendly.
Cons: No AC, paper thin walls so you can hear your neighbors snore (or worse), a little light on amenities (no TV, Wifi is slow and flaky), cellphone signal is bad (AT&T) although that isn't their fault. They call themselves boutique, but i'd call them barebones.
Pros: Loved the location! Beach RIGHT there with view of Molokai and of Lani! Really like no AC, no TV.

Pros: Suite was beautiful and comfortable. Full kitchen with dishes and appliances was great to have!
Cons: Service was poor. Pulled up to the hotel and spent over 30 min in the car without ever even being greeted while my husband checked us in. When we commented on our poor service experiences the management responded by saying that "Honua Kai is not a hotel." They also made sure to mention their duty to secure certain room rates for their property owners.
Pros: The rooms had a great layout. The beach location was fantastic. The majority of the staff were very friendly.
Cons: Surprise ~$30 daily charge on bill upon checkout (for wireless, parking, and misc room supplies). We were told we would get an upper level mountain view and ended up with a 2nd floor view of the construction site next door. Lack of pool seats because one pool was being renovated. Late guaranteed check-in time.
Pros: Great location. Excellent conceierge
Cons: Smell of sewage at HH entry
