The room was very clean and the staff was polite. Check in time was later than 2.
The hotel room was clean and comfortable which we were pleased with. We weren't impressed with the casino itself. It was small and over crowded.
Location is fabulous. Java, the little deli downstairs, is a hidden gem. A less than 5 minute walk to Eldorado next door. View was great as well. My room was dirty. A/c wasn't working properly. Bathtub didn't drain. Water from shower all over the floor. Toilet was constantly running due to a leaky flapper. Not good for $182!
Lots to do in a compact area The gym & pool closed early and opened late. Plus, it cost $8 to use the gym if you did not purchase spa services!!
The room was only $70 per night The room was dirty. There were used tissues from the previous guest still in the bathroom of my hotel room. The buffet was over priced and the food was very very bad!!
Great staff Needs to be up dated.
Check in was quick, bell hoops were friendly as was everyone Nothing
Was nothing over the top, was able to get a room for decent rate. Convenient to area destinations and safe surroundings
Nice oversized room. Large soaking tubs. Nice linens on comfy bed. Staff not very accommodating. Maids yelling back and forth in hallways early in the morning made sleeping in impossible.
Enjoyed our stay!! Nice hotel
This was our first time to stay at this hotel. My wife and I really enjoyed the rooms. They were spacious and very comfortable. The staff was the nicest I've seen. The only down fall to the room was the air conditioning. The air seemed to never come on fully in room 1818.
The rooms were nice, spacious, and very clean. The toliet has it's on room within the bathroom. There were very few channels to enjoy out of basic and sports channels. The rooms offered room service and the higher floors boasts wonderful views of nearby attractions and shops. Despite by online reservation, I was quickly hit with an extra hundred for incendital. The hotel though connected to casino can not access a shared database to give new comers info on gambling. When someone new signs up for a players card at casino they get no initial credits but must pay a game to get points that can only be redeemed after the customer goes broke gambling. Also the food is very high compared to restaurants in a stone's throw.
Clean riverview room! Super comfy beds. Short walk to Blind Tiger restaurant (must go!) Casino was generous! (Results may vary. LoL) Staff was nice and helpful. Overall GREAT! No pharmacy nearby. Would have bought hypoallergenic soap and other toiletries from gift shop if they had it. My fault for having sensitive skin.
Overall nice place, room was laid out nice, with plenty of room. Bed was comfortable.
Large room with luxury linens. Beautiful view of the riverfront from the 21st floor. Resort fee when we only spent the night for one night and didn't enjoy the amenities.
Rooms and bathroom were large! Free parking. Comfy beds. Smelled a little smoky. Must have been a smoking room at some point.
Nice room. There was a TV in the bathroom mirror and a walk in shower. They charged an extra $17 "resort fee" when we got there.
When I asked for a disabled veterans discount for my second night the clerk told me 'They don't care about veterans, they care about reward club members'. My room was also downgraded the new night I stayed.
could not contact the front desk ever.. kept getting told to leave a message on a machine.. that made it difficult to get online or get questions answered about checking out
Large comfortable room not many tv channels to watch free wifi is as slow as paint drying. It is 2016
The restaurant's The check in and out lady was rude, seemed bothered answering simple Questions. Didn't like once you paid for room threw site, once you check in they charge you another 100 for deposit. Also when you check out you only get like 82 back (*took about 4 days to go back in my account) because of Resort fees?? Pretty much for using their WiFi. They Charge the 17. and some change everyday you stay.
Room was great, loved the shower, spacious room Some staff not as friendly as they could have been but overall ok, eating options limited late on weeknights, slots pretty stingy...
The hotel, staff and the location was very great. N/A
Clean The price Horseshoe added to the bill at check in. Then two hours later phone dinged! Another $50.00 charge! They said was refundable in 3-5 business days!
Location Staff, rooms loud, pillows too soft, woke up itching every morning, toilet paper super cheap, tub was dirty, forced to eat at expensive eateries in hotel, no other cheap eateries in the area due to casinos smothering the area. I would not recommend this place on the future unless you have a lot of money to waste and like to gamble till 3:00 am and stay drunk.
Close to Boardwalk. Very clean and comfy beds. Breakfast was not included.
Friendly and welcoming staff The charge for parking. The noise coming from the pipes in the hotel. At 4am every morning the toilet would make this loud sqealing sound that scared me out of my sleep. I had to get out of bed just to flush it and make it stop
The location was perfect for quick access to the interstate and the parkway in Shreveport. We needed a room for the weekend because of business events. We had stayed at this property several times before, but not within the last 3 years. The 4th floor hall was filthy with trash and dirt. In the room, the TV remote would not work until my husband fixed it. There was no hot water even after asking for maintenance to address the issue; water could best be described as almost lukewarm before maintenance call and lukewarm after maintenance addressed it. The door to the room was crooked on its frame and would not close unless shoved with a shoulder; the door (Room 416) had marks on it where a crowbar or hammer claw had been used on it. Doors on dressers stood open; when pushed closed, they would slide back out. The lamp was broken with live electrical wires exposed at the base which was a critical safety issue. We explained all this and more to the manager before we checked out after the first night and went to another Hilton property across the river in Bossier City.
i didnt like that when the house keeping cleaned the room they folded the old towels and put them back and didnt give us new towels, and when the beds were done they didnt change the sheets out with new sheets and one bed got made but the other one didnt due to items being on the bed which coulda been moved and put back. there was also a note explaining y the bed wasnt made.
The hotel itself was really nice. The beds were comfy and shower was clean. The front desk apparently had some issues with late checkouts from the previous night. My kayak check in stated my room would be ready at 3:00 even though the hotel had stated their check-in time was 4:00. We got to the hotel at 3:10 and found out that none of our rooms were ready and that all they could guarantee would be a room before MIDNIGHT and if they could get us a room at that time, they would refund our money. They had no kind of "waiting list" ready or procedure on how to take care of us in an oderly fashion. I was actually told to "just go to the bar area and ill come find you". I later found out that people were putting their names down with some of the other customer service representatives so I got back in line and was now 5th in line. They actually did get us into our rooms around 4:45 or 5 but they could use a refresher course on customer service!
It was clean, quiet, and well-located. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The room itself was nice and pretty clean. Could have got that at La Quinta for cheaper though. Hallways smelled bad, front desk staff unfriendly, $7 for parking, $11 for breakfast, bad coffee
Check-in was very simple and fast! The valet cew was wonderful-very polite, friendly, and helpful! The entire 'vibe' from the hotel was wonderful! I will definitely stay again and recommend the hotel to anyone that I know! I checked-out on Sunday Aug.22,2010 (today is Aug.25)...I was charged an additional $100 (total) in deposits and have only received half of that back...I'm being patient!
I enjoyed the alternative staff and the shuttle to the boardwalk and casinos. Did not care for the congestion of the cars for loading and unloading guests, and having to cross major street to get to cars in the parking garage. A crosswalk would be great!
Walking distance to Boardwalk shops and IHOP. Seems like slot machine rotation happens often. Lots of fun machines to play. Cocktail waitresses took drink orders and they later admitted that they chose not to bring the drinks we ordered because they thought we'd just leave. We tipped the waitresses that would bring us drinks well, yet they were still rude and rolled their eyes. There isn't at least one place GOOD to eat inside resort. Buffet has terrible food. We'd rather drive to the Horseshoe. The Horseshoe has great restaurants, terrific buffet, and a bar for dancing and drinking. Always seems to be under construction. The gift shop is lacking. Horseshoe has tons of shops inside and a place to pick up snacks, drinks, and souvenirs. Margaritaville is newer, yet it's lacking a lot of amenities.
Room was overall nice, big enough without bumping into the furniture. Nice place to stay if you need a room with some entertainment.
We valet parked are Prius and they forgot to push the button and turn the car off so it ran the entire time while it was valet parked and ran the gas out of our car.
There was not anything I didn't like
Very clean, the staff was helpful, it's my new favorite place to stay in Bossier City, I will be back.
We had an amazing time. The hotel was perfect in every way. The pool was outstanding. All staff were wonderful. Can’t wait to come back.
The shower curtain rod kept falling when I was in the shower and hit me several times on the head. The faucets need some tlc in regards to cleaning.
The entire staff was very friendly however housekeeping was above and beyond. They went out of their way on more than several occasions to accommodate us. Would stay here again totally based on this fact only! Nice clean hotel, a bit off the beaten path from downtown Shreveport but a perfect fit for this business trip. Don't think they like the fact that I Booked this hotel using kayak.
Late checkout, mostly clean room Literally 25 feet from train tracks. Pool and spa closed, whole hotel smelled like chlorine and was humid. Staff were not friendly. Not the cleanest. Thin walls. Old and hard to control heat/air. Very firm mattress. Refrigerator made weird noises. Not worth the price we paid
There were bugs in the room. Neither phone in the room worked so I didn't get my wake up call that I asked for at the desk. The shower head wasn't properly installed so water sprayed all over the bathroom.
Friendliness, ease of getting to the hotel We found a gross large stain on the comforter that was dried. There was a dead spider in the bathroom behind the door and in a pile if dust. We found both of these in the morning just before Leaving. We did inform the front desk person and she stated she would have the general manager and he would call but as yet he has not responded.
The breakfast was the only thing even remotely acceptable about this hotel. Dirty bathroom, dirty linens, they were out of blankets, out of towels and then of course there was the police standoff two doors down from us on the 5th floor. Old, dirty and not maintained. A hotel with no linens?
Nothing The staff at night was rude, the building had an unpleasant odor. The hotel was hot, elevator and halls to our room. Our air conditioner in our room didn't work well, I had to go buy a fan to be able to sleep. No hot water so had to take a cold shower.
Location. Size of room Sink water pressure Old elevator in the back Fridge needs cleaning Desk agent wasnt friendly
Quiet. Fridge was frozen over and would not close, cigarette butts in the hallways for days.
A/C in the room was great. No internet in the annex part that I stayed in. So I cut my stay short and stayed with a family member.
Great deal for the price and location. There was no safe in our room.
Location The rooms seems like people live in them
nothing sink was not draining drip under sink room needed updating We booked the room days in advance & reserved a room in the inn, when we arrived we were told that they no longer had the room & we would get room in next building breakfast was awful-unsani
A below average hotel. Elevators not working, no visible staffers to clean public bathrooms. Never saw room service carts in halls. Drug dealers arrested. Making drugs on 5th floor. Over priced for a below par hotel.
I liked that the furniture and overall look of the place isn't the typical Holiday-Inn look that I see all over the place. I also appreciated the noon checkout time. I didn't like how we were put in the second building because those outer doors don't lock. Anyone could just walk in there. It also gave the stay a motel feel. It's also difficult to get to the hotel with all the one-ways there.
The first night the lady that took care of our reservation was excellent so we decided to book another night! The lady told us we could have the same room! The reservation had not come in yet so she said to come down in the morning to pay!She was very nice The next morning when I went down to pay and a different woman at the desk said we would have to change rooms so we decided not to stay! I explained to her that was the whole reason we had chosen to book another night and she did not accommodate us!
Comfort and service I was told after I purchased room online that I could have had a better rate because I am registered with the rewards program. Breakfast was closed before we could take advantage of free breakfast. I would suggest allowing cold items be available at least an hour later for those who check in late and are not early risers.
Great lobby for gathering. Little difficult getting in to park. Better signage.
The staff was extremely friendly & helpful (esp. so w/ myself & toddler when I locked keys in car), from the receptionist to housekeeping to the bellman. I was further impressed w/the modern, sleek design of the lobby and suite!
We have stayed here twice this year on family visits. It is a great place to refresh ourselves after a long day. The rooms are comfortable. The beds are very nice. The staff is uniformly helpful. The included breakfast is varied every day. We didn't know it since we weren't usually around, but snacks are served in the late afternoon. I even had to use the laundry room while we were there and it was clean and well-maintained. Overall a very good place for us to stay.
Very clean, very quiet area. Staff isn't the friendliest, but they do their job well.
Staff is nice and attentive, Clean rroms and hotel. Perfect for someone who needs a nice hotel to come and go
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The hotel was very nice and very clean. Staff was very courteous. Overall stay was good. The room we were given was directly over the lobby. The room vibrated as well as the sound of the lobby doors opening and closing all night. Impossible to sleep through. That room should be closed off and used for storage purposes only!
My husband and I loved everything about our stay. We will be back soon. Wouldn't mind if check on was 130
Service, location and price. Room had a foul smell, carpet was very stained. I would not walk around in bare feet. A/c unit did not work great.
The best things about this hotel are the modern look of the rooms and the cleanliness. The free breakfast was pretty good, too. No, I liked everything about it.
The location was excellent. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly.
Advertised sofa & it was not in room.
It was near the facilities I would be attending functions at. The room was not totally cleaned. I opened a night stand drawer to find a bag of chips in it. I checked each day I was there, they were not removed. Also, fixtures had dust on them, lots of dust like they never clean the lights/lamps.
Centrally located for my traveling needs... Bad parking and hard to get to
The Friendly staff and appearance There should be a fridge in the room
Our first room had all the drawers & microwave open and seat cushion sitting up at 45 degree angle in chair when we walked in. Front desk game us a different room. Unfortunately, it was all the way on the end next to train tracks. Heard loud metal squeaking sound and had to put sound machine app from iphone on to drown it out. Parking lot is not great either - hard to turn around and lot is small. Would choose somewhere else next time
Elevators didn't work. Sketchy parking "garage". Dirty hallways and carpet. Overall sketchy room and experience. Front desk screwed up our keys as well.
The staff were friendly and accommodations were adequate. The parking was horrible!!! And the room was noisy! You could here everything going on outside over the a/c (granted our room was on the second floor). I would suggest staying on an upper floor to help combat this issue or request a room that doesn't face the road. There were several spots on the wall where the Sheetrock was damaged by furniture that made the otherwise nicely equipped room feel cheap.
I really enjoyed my stay the staff was courteous and very friendly.. I loved my experience.. I will stay there again and recommend a friend!
The ac was amazing. I know that sounds silly to mention but when you stay in the south you can barely kero the place really cool without freezing your unit. It's in a weird business strip.
Everything. Great Hotel. We will be coming back guarantee I have no negative words for this Hotel.
Hotel was a great bargain for the money. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff friendly. I was there on business but if you are in Shreveport for the gambling, know that you are at least 20 minutes by highway from downtown.
The hotel was clean. The staff were friendly. It's a stylish and well kept place. The complimentary waters and sweet tea in the lobby 24 hrs a day was a very nice touch. The bathroom door didn't lock. The mattress was firm, and the adjustable pressure dial on it didn't work. The prices of the sundries in the pavilion pantry were overly steep, and were not listed on or in front of the goods.
The mattresses need replacing. They provide poor support. The bathroom doesn't have an exhaust fan to remove or reduce effects of hot showers.
TOSSED AND TURNED ALL NIGHT AND THOSE PILLOWS WHAT THE HELL KINDA PILLOWS ARE THOSE. THOSE PILLOWS SUCKED!!!
By the write up we read in the hotel we were under the assumption that breakfast was included not extra. It was a nice hotel with a very friendly staff. We will definitely stay again.
Staff was extremely friendly from front desk to groundskeeper. We have found that most service personnel in Shreveport are unfriendly, but this was not the case at this property.
Staff was extremely friendly. Room was clean and so comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
I liked everything about it. The location, staff, and overall cleanliness
We made reservations in advance but when we got to the hotel at 10:30 at night the room was not ready. We were told the reason was because they were booked the night before.(a Thursday) At 1130 we got a call that our room was finally cleaned.
Location was right were we needed to be. Central to all our needs Staff very friendly No stationary pads or pencils Shampoo and conditioner seemed to be left over from previous guest
The room was very clean. Staff was very nice and greeted you with a smile. When we first arrived it was late and our tv didn't work. The next morning On our we out we told them about the tv and told them we would be out most of the day. Well when we returned early from our day the tv was fixed.
Price was good but a poor experience, beds were nice and it was a good location. Would not go back. Staff was unhelpful, the hotel looked half done even though they said they were updating it was poorly done. Our room had scrapes on the walls and it was an updated room. Asked staff for paper towels in the main bathroom and they never refilled it after 4 hours. No one was in any type of uniform or professional clothing it felt like no one cared about the place. The elevators were scary, doors didn't close all the way , one was not even working , some of the doors to the outside were broken and you had to close them by hand.
The staff was wonderful and courteous The bed very comfortable The room smelled dank and musky. The carpet and furniture needed replaced or cleaned. The tv was terrible
Excellent location. Comfortable bed. Cleanliness
Friendly staff Slight musty smell upon entry to room....but it dissipated after awhile.
The room was great, bed very comfortable! Bathroom and the room were very clean. Very nice. All of the staff that I encountered were above and beyond courteous and friendly. The hallways had a musty smell all the time and the very slow elevator stunk of something that wasn't familiar. I used the stairs most of the time. Priced a bit high per night, but not beyond reason. The breakfast in the lobby was just simple stuff, wish it had been more.
