Disgusting and horrible
After receiving a phone call on our way to the property, we were asked if we wanted a soup and sandwich lunch on our arrival. We agreed but to my own fault I didn't ask a price. When we arrived a tasty soup was given, but with old stale value bread and some horrible ham sandwiches. We were shown to our room, which was dated to say the least and told we had to share the communal bathroom. It was freezing. She turned the heating on for a couple of hours, but it was turned off before morning. At about 1am the fire alarm went off for about 5 mins waking us up. In the morning we were given a 'full English' which consisted of very greasy cheap and nasty food with the other half of the value roll fried up and some sliced boiled potatoes with cheese on top. It was horrible. After breakfast I asked what I owed and she said £38...... for soup and an awful breakfast! DO NOT EAT THE FOOD!!! On our way out my husband was witness to the elderly couple screaming at each other using every profanity under the sun, we quickly made our escape £38 lighter.
Plenty of parking owner friendly helpful, Clean and tidy Location ideal for me several take away near Pubs and restaurants
room dated but clean television small and old
Jean was lovely and very welcoming and great location
Mattress tilted down on side and springs creaked from age, bedding has blood spot on it that hadn’t washed out, tea, milk, coffee in room tasted ancient and looked like it had been picked up from cafes, the kettle in the room smelled faintly of burning, the smoke detector in room was taken down, the room smelled of dog, there was one bath towel and one hand towel between two, one towel smelled of damp, we got charged for two breakfasts we said we didn’t want, I thought it was funny when the owner said “oh I made you a continental breakfast but you didn’t come down...I’ll put your cereal back”. I said we told her we didn’t want it and I thought I bet she tries to charge me for that, which is exactly what she did. An extra £32 came out of my bank for four breakfasts, none of which my daughter and I had or asked for. I am still waiting for the refund to land. Wouldn’t ever stay there again if I wasn’t forced to.
