The room layout
The price, the gym, the AC/Heating unit was terrible. No matter what the thermostat was set to, the unit would constantly kick on and off. There was no way turn it off for good. Even if the T-stat was off, the damn unit ran when it wanted to. Junk.
The room was very nice - laid out in an inviting manor. Comfortable and relaxing.
It is across from the back of a walmart and faces the freeway on the other side. This is the only drawback for an excellent hotel.
They say they will clean the room once a week. They don't do it that often or that well. We stayed 18 days and had made a deal on the room rate with the sales manager. She didn't stick by our agreement and charged full price. For the price you are paying it's much better to stay in a room that gets cleaned daily.
I was supposed to stay here for several weeks, and I had a reservation. The first thing I noticed was that when I told the desk clerk I had a reservation she didn't even ask my name, as if they didn't have any reservations at all. \n \nAs I was inspecting the room, as I always do when I stay in a hotel, I noticed that an outlet behind the refridgerator was hanging out of the wall with the wires exposed, which, in my mind, was a fire hazard, but didn't really worry about it until the next incident. \n \nWhat happened next made me leave immediately. As I was watching TV, about 9:30 pm, I heard banging on my door. Of course I didn't answer it, but it scared the wits out of me since I am female and traveling alone. I then made reservations at another hotel. \n \nI went to the front desk to inform them I was not staying there any longer because of the exposed wire and my own safety. The clerk didn't know what to do, and she called someone on the phone, speaking in a language I didn't understand. The manager then walked in the room, asking me what the problem was. I explained why I had no intention of staying there and asked for my money back. He refused to do that. Since it was only $*, I didn't worry about it. I never did get my money back. \n \nI wouldn't recommend anyone stay there.
