Very clean, helpful staff, good location. enjoyed breakfast & breakfast staff very professional. No elevator & no smoking on premises PERIOD
It was very clean and modern. The location was great. The sign on the street is only facing one direction. When coming in from the other way we did not see it until it was almost too late to turn...
Beautiful rooms, super-friendly staff, proximity to the National Park, and a great value for the money!
No smoking allowed anywhere on the property. Advised to walk out to public sidewalk or $250 fine would be assessed.
Great place and Great Location. Hotel is very clean and looks new. Will be back and already recommended to friends traveling that way. They could add a little more to their breakfast but it was still good.
Rooms were updated and very clean. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in this hotel segment.
The rooms were clean and modern. The view of Zion's was spectacular. Staff was friendly.
Lets face it. We went there to see the amazing scenery and this was fine. Walls a bit thin. Hot cold water plumbed backwards. Clean with fridge and microwave. Comfortable bed but nothing special. Small balcony nice to sit on. Quirky decorations. Strange animals caged in big chain link fence area out back. Would be nice if hot tub was on.
We loved that the rooms were large and clean. We also loved the breakfast which was a voucher for the Wild Willies Restaurant on site. The location was perfect, amidst all the artsy shops and inns in the cute little town of Springdale. The towering monoliths that surrounded the area were also a big plus. The property was a little dated, not fancy. We wish the hot tub were open in the off season.
This was about the last room in Springdale and wouldn't have been our first choice however, it was better than expected. The balcony was nice and the sheets were clean. The hallway smelled bad and there was hair in the shower.
Clean, perfect location, awesome view, and free breakfast at the restaurant next door. Wifi didn't work well, but we weren't there to spend our time online.
Very friendly, accomodating staff. Beautiful views. Great breakfast!
Close to park. Very good value. Nice TV. Breakfast from the restaurant included. Great staff in the lobby! Uncomfortable beds. Rooms are older - haven't been updated in quite some time.
The Bumbleberry Inn is in a great location to visit Zion National Park. We only stayed one night. The stay could have easily been 2-3 nights to get to all the sites we would have liked to see at Zion. There was a bonus breakfast included in the stay which was great at the restaurant at the front of their property (Wildcat Willies). Really enjoyed our stay. Nothing really to talk about here.
Close to the park entrance. The hotel stinks. No 24 hour staff.
I loved the view from the balcony! Other rooms had a great view from a small front patio. There shuttle stop to Zion was very conveniently located right in front of the hotel. Also easy to walk to lots of good restaurants for dinner. The hotel's free breakfast was great and perfect before a long day of hiking!
The desk clerks were very friendly. They had two miniature horses in the back of the hotel that my kids loved. They also had a charcoal grill that we used to have an outdoor picnic. Loved this place!
Neat and clean
Had a refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable and it had a large bathroom. Hotel was close to the park. The room was large. The room was dated and the second day we didn't get coffee cups or coffee replenished, but we got them from the front desk.
Great location to acess Zion National Park. Beautiful setting, well kept grounds. Helpful front desk staff. Noise heating/air system in room.
Great room, great view, very calm ...just perfect !
Nice staff, quiet location not far from visitor center. Breakfast in adjoining restaurant.
location of the hotel closed to the Zion park, comfort of the large room, pleasant furniture bad isolation from cold, blankets too thin for cold nights
Immaculately clean rooms, fine furnishings and linens, fantastic view from the private deck, staff eager to provide information about the area, local shuttle stopped in front of the hotel Not one thing....oh...they did not have a computer onsite that we could print our boarding pass but used the one down the street in the internet cafe. Not really a problem
Bed and view were amazing! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Was nice to be able to come back to a hot tub and comfortable bed after a long day of hiking in the park.
We expected a typical 3 star hotel, but this was a step above with beautiful rooms and both a tub and walk in shower, and a stunning porch view. It was on the edge of town, easy walking to shops and galleries. Beds and sheets could have been softer and there were hotels closer to the action. Breakfast was off site, but wasn't a problem for us as we were out before 530 am each day.
Very convenient. Comfortable accommodations. Attentive staff. Good breakfast. No complaints!
Loved the location...could walk to the park and had river access Paths were confusing and some plants could be trimmed to make paths more accessible
Loved the room and location, quick and easy walk to Zion National Park. Room was updated, clean and well appointed. Breakfast was very good. Bed was a little uncomfortable. Lobby hours are kind of difficult in the off season as the lobby closes at 8 pm.
The grounds were nice and we experienced a deer and her 2 fawns roaming the grounds which was nice. The room (47) was NOT nice at all. It was dated, unclean and WAY overpriced. Mentioned to staff and while they were extremely nice they were anything but proactive. Their excuse was I booked through 3rd party and claimed I was overcharged by the 3rd party and they never charge those rates on their own website. This is obviously not true as that is not how 3rd party booking sites work. On a side note, we ran into some friends a couple of days later who have stayed in this room and knew exactly the room we were talking about. This is the disappointing part as Cliff Rose KNOWS this room is horrible yet they still allow it to be booked an inflated price ($360/night). Additional issues were old, damaged furniture and nasty dusty fans. I recommend you book at the Desert Pearl as much better option and priced very well (they were booked hence staying at Cliff Rose for first time).
The room was clean and large with great decorating. It is close to Zion so it is convenient although not right in town. It would have been nice if breakfast was included. The restaurant did not open until noon during the week in the winter.
The room had a nice country lodge feel and there was a nice view from the back balcony. I chose this place because the pool and jacuzzi area looked like it would be a good place to relax after a day of hiking in Zion. Unfortunately it was a chilly evening and the hot tub was luke warm at best. Tried to have the front desk adjust the tempature but they didn't have the keys to access the controller.
Interior decor and view from balcony Poor sound proof. Could hear neighboring room's guests and plumbing.
Bad Customer Srevice
Clean and loved the patio! Nothing.
Perfect location next to Zion, great room with a rustic feel. Two pillows did not have cases on them and looked dirty. Everything else was fine.
In a good area, easy to walk to restaurants nearby. Close to Zion entrance. Not cleaned well. Hair in shower, stains on decorative pillows.
Pioneer had everything we needed: clean rooms, reasonably comfortable beds, excellent location, enough space in the room, friendly staff. Free coffee in the lobby. View from the hotel was beautiful. Price was excellent for what we got. I'd stay here again! No breakfast, but it's probably not worth increasing the price for it.
The room was clean and spacious, the staff was great and you cannot beat the location. The bed and pillows were OK, but not overly comfortable.
The place is older, for sure, and not as "boutique" as some of the inns and B&B's. It's not modern like some of there chains, either. But I loved it. It was relatively inexpensive compared to any other place available (and months before our trip to Zion hotel rooms were hard to come by) -- staying near Zion isn't going to be cheap. The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom were super clean and the view when we walked out the door was gorgeous. The restaurant was apparently closed down when we arrived - we were looking forward to having dinner in our hotel but it never opened and we had no idea why.
The bathroom was cold and the handle for the shower was not very User friendly. The bed was super comfortable. We were disappointed to find out that there was no restaurant operating. They told us that it had not been in operation for the last two months. . At least they had a nice coffee machine and juice machine in the reception area. But that didn't open till 8 o'clock in the morning, and we had planned to leave a little earlier than that. It's a very good location for those wanting to travel into Zion.
Location was very convenient to Zion National Park and the price was lower than other nearby hotels The room could have been cleaner - we did find a good number of hairs on the sheets and pillows.
Air conditioning and telephone did not work. The very basic expectations! Informed the front desk and she laughed it off saying she could mechanically turn it on but it would have to remain on all night and couldn't be adjusted. Also staff was never at the desk in the lobby. We had t wait on multiple occasions for staff to show up. Cement stairs leading to second floor was unsafe and breaking apart to the bottom floor! Actual chunks of cement were missing!
The room was a good size and well set up. Bed comfortable. The parking lot was very crowded and getting a car in and out was a bit of a challenge. I think they made the parking spaces smaller to accommodate all the rooms.
Good Location. Overall Friendly Our room was poorly maintained. The toilet and shower did not work well. Had water damage in bathroom. The carpet was dirty. It was the most expensive motel on my trip
Good value for the location Parking lot really small and tight
Comfortable, clean room with good beds. Pool and hot tub are great for kids. Just a short distance from the park. Restaurant was closed on Sunday.
The staff called us and accused us of stealing a comforter And charged us $75 for it. It took us 4 separate pleading phone calls and two additional stops back to the hotel to not only convince them that this must be a mistake and to look into it further. This was a large hindrance on our family vacation. Turns out some maids put extra comforters in the closet while others dont. So then we were accused and charged of taking a comforter that wasn't there? It wasn't worth the hassle. We will not be staying at this hotel when we visit again. There are many beautiful hotels in the area and I bet they treat their costumers with dignity and respect.
Very close to Zion. Shuttle stop right across the street. Great complimentary continental breakfast. Staff at the front desk was very friendly and had helpful information.
Situated in center of main street through Springdale and very convenient for visiting Zion NP - park entrance is 1 mile away, and shuttle stop is in front of hotel. Lovely pool to relax after long day of hiking with a striking view of the surrounding scenery. New building always a plus. Complimentary breakfast, wifi, and parking made it a great value. They also allowed late check out to 12pm free and until 2 pm for $20 additional ($10/hr after noon) - we were able to squeeze in a morning hike, a splash in the pool and a quick shower before packing up and checking out.
This place is clean, comfortable, and friendly. They have a pool, gym, hot tub, free wifi, free parking, and free breakfast. The staff are helpful and friendly. It's a great, clean, reasonably priced place to stay for a trip to southern Utah!
This hotel is in a beautiful setting at the entrance to Zion National Park. You can see the towering cliffs of Zion Canyon from nearly everywhere on the property. The rooms were clean & comfortable and the grounds are very inviting although we were there in February and the pool was closed. Nice breakfast buffet included.
The location, room, service
Place was nice Since I booked through Kayak, did not get Hilton points or any of the benefits of HHONORS. Was not told that till check in.
Loved staying in this historic lodge in the heart of Zion National Park. We stayed in one of the original cabins. It had plenty of space, generous bathroom space and facilities, a nice little porch, and a really comfy bed. We also enjoyed the lodge restaurant for dinner and breakfast which was great food with really friendly service. Servers know both the food and the park, and were generous with their time answering our new-tourist questions! The cabins and rooms are located in a fairly dense, small area at the Lodge. We tend to go to bed early, and it was fairly loud right outside our window as groups of people walked by laughing and talking, sometimes stopping just outside our window to wrap up for the night for a while. It's hard to be upset about happy people, but next time I'd specifically ask for a room that faces away from the central corridor between sets of rooms/ buildings. We had just come from the Bryce Canyon lodge which was similar in spirit but a little more spread out and quiet; also the workmanship in the cabin was a little higher quality.
Off season-had the canyon to ourself. I-max Theatre closing in Jan 2017
Proximity to canyon
Located on Zion Park Blvd. just outside of the entrance to Zion Nayional Park. On the main road of the small town with shops and restaurants. Room smelled of mold, unfinished PVC piping was used as a quick fix in the shower, parts of the ceiling were peeling and falling off, towels were white (a long, long time ago), the pool was dried up, staff was curt, pillows were lumpy, carpet was dirty
It had a nice view outside the window. It had a small refrigerator. On the inside, the TV had terrible reception. We were supposed to get free WiFi, but we could barely connect & when we did it was so slow you could basically just check mail. There was no hair dryer (really who doesn't include a hair dryer in the room these days). The shower was old & didn't look very clean & the water pressure was terrible. The towels were old & small. On the outside, the pool was closed and the little water feature was shut down. It is in need of paint & new doors. I would give this place only 1 star and would not stay there again. The only reason we stayed here was because we could not get another room at such a quick notice.
Staff was very kind. We checked in very late and he woke up to allow this. Rooms were clean and location was great.i There was a very bright light in walkway outside our window that stays on all night. There were no blackout curtains so we had to cover our window with our comforter. The bed was "firm". No microwave. Was a but expensive for such a basic room but I guess it is due to the area they r in.
Location Inexpensive Clean beds, firm mattress Small refrigerator Free Wifi - broken Free ice - broken Juice with breakfast - broken Free breakfast - very, very basic No hair dryer Towels - small & grey tinged Bathroom - minor repairs needed to floor tile, bathtub, sink Old fashion motel type with window view of your car.
Was a little nervous based on previous reviews, but since it was cheap, right outside of Zion and I needed a place last minute, I took a chance. It was clean and everything I would expect from a budget motel. Don't expect a five start experience, but I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, convenient and cost efficient place to stay.
great location in town near shuttle to zion property is old. room in poor shape. AC barely worked.
Location and price; three full-size beds in the room. Heating in the room didn't work. Probably, old/bad circuit breaker - when it's reset, the heater works for two min., then goes off again. No one was available at the hotel to fix it. The hotel promises a breakfast, but there is nothing to eat there, except for only one kind of cereal. Towels and linen looked very old (grey, not white).
