We found the rooms clean, modern and comfortable and the best surprise was the hip and delicious Bistro that was associated with it.
We loved the modern decor and efficient layout. Easy access and bright and cheery. We also loved the sister bistro! Staff and food A+!!
Lovely modern rooms directly behind a great little bistro/bar/bakery/cafe. A short walk to the Teatro Greco and archaeological park. Convenient pay-to-park lot located just around the side of building. Management/owners are right there on site operating the bistro and are very responsive to any requests. For example, the a/c controls in our room were malfunctioning and they sent the building engineer to our room within two minutes. Promptly resolved the problem. Lovely interior with exposed stone wall, great walk-in shower, and comfy bed. Very effective blackout rolling shutters on the windows for anyone who needs total darkness to sleep. Did not notice any street noise. Wonderful continental breakfast available in the morning. Very friendly waitstaff. Strong WiFi. Electronic key cards. TV in bedroom.
Nothing really. Great find near the Teatro Greco. This part of Syracuse is not an architectural wonderland, but feels safe and Ortigia is just a short bus or cab ride away. Check-in is at the Olivia Bistro and staff will escort you around back through a private but shared lobby in a commercial building directly behind the bistro— it looks like this was perhaps an older office building that has been adapted to house these four guest rooms that are tucked away in the back corner of the ground floor. Seemed very private and secure. The shared lobby of the commercial building is not quite as clean or updated as the rooms themselves, but this is common in Europe.
Breakfasts were excellent. Parking nearby convenient.
Accommodations in rooms behind restaurant. Lock on doors to access require acquiring key from restaurant then rooms are also in automated locked corridor for security , then rooms have locked access. WiFi did not work. Staff from restaurant attempted to help reboot etc, but when we left, still not working. We spent most of our time sightseeing which was a blessing.
It was a beautiful room and very clean. First day we had room service. Olivia was really nice and gave us advice on where to go.
With a stay at Olivia Rooms Teocrito in Syracuse, you'll be a 3-minute walk from Museo Archeologico Regionale Paolo Orsi and 7 minutes by foot from Archaeological Park of Neapolis.
