7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good, varied choices, the location is beautiful, and we had a lovely room overlooking the sea. however, I thought the price of €550.00 was expensive for what was offered.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: The hotel itself, room, ambience etc. I expected it to be “old fashioned” but not cheap. For the price it charges around €280 + per night! It creates high expectations. The furniture in the room felt like cast offs. Food at the bar was terrible! Rubbery pizza, average fish and chips, average spring rolls. Nothing notable, nothing tasty. Price to quality ratio was very poor. The pool has a great view due to the hotel location but it was the shallowest pool we have ever experienced and it was COLD. Colder than the other hotels we’ve stayed in recently for example: Fota Island resort hotel, Cork, the Merrion in Dublin. The hotel clearly capitalizes from the “legacy” reputation built up over the years from “olden” times and its unbeatable location. Needless to say, I would not stay there again.

Pros: I cannot say enough good about this stay! The home was gorgeous, quiet and immaculate. Our host was extremely warm and welcoming and personally made breakfast for us each day; even catering to my picky daughter's needs by making homemade crepes that rocked! Great conversation as well. Nice touches like local coffee table books in the common living room. We felt so welcome and will ONLY stay there when in Sneem, Ireland!
Cons: Not a thing.

Cons: We were there for 4 nights. I would have liked the bin to be emptied and maybe the towels changed once.
