Hans made us very comfortable. Finding the property is a little difficult, but look for signs with Postman8 on them and follow them.
Great place to stay if you want to discover the valley of Zermatt or Saas Fee. Very kind host, clean rooms & bathroom, kitchen to cook your own stuff and a nice village to stroll around. Price/quality just perfect! Will definitely come back if I am in this area again.
The host is a very nice person, he is very welcoming and provides any information about the neighbourhood since he lives there for a long time. You can have an interesting talk with him. The breakfast is large and handsome. You can attempt several 1-2 hour walks in the local area, of a moderate difficulty. Most probably, there are more challenging routes but we stayed just for a day and did not have a chance to learn about them. The houses around postman8 are like from a fairy tale, but better: they are old and sincere. The scenery is enchanting: mountains, a rumbling river, tunnels gulping trains, cable railway leading into clouds.
Beware: from 6 o'clock the close church starts to wake you up.
The owner, Heinz, was terrific, house was spotlessly clean, situation delightful, all in all just a really excellent B &B.
Heinz could not have been more helpful or willing to share his knowledge and local experiences. He is very proud of the properties and collections he has built around his home, and very informative. We would definitely stay again.
We knew to expect this, however a private bathroom rather than a shared bathroom is always nicer. That said, the price I am sure reflected this, and travelling as a group of climbers the facilities were just what we needed in being back in the valley.
