9.5 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast, great location and clean rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was beautiful; the hostess lovely. We truly enjoyed our visit, sitting outside with a glass of wine in the evening. The amenities (soap, towels, bath oil) were worthy of a spa. Very nice property.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding hostess and wonderful waitress...big smile, very cheerful and friendly. Charming breakfast room with multicourse breakfasts fresh local pastries, fruit and eggs, pancakes. Few blocks from several restaurants and downtown. Owner was very helpful with suggestions. Room very nice and comfy.
Cons: Charming bath tub with feet but if you prefer showers there was no shower curtain and hose for shower too short so impossible unless you knelt or sat in tub. Cute room but would have preferred less knick knacks and candles so I could have more room to spread out my stuff.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: All was excellent
Cons: No comment
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place just up the hill from the center of Sutton. Beautifully decorated and well-hosted in both French and English! We had a spacious room with a large bathroom. On the landing, for all guests, there was tea, coffee, water, and apple pie.
Cons: Breakfasts were on the sweet side - would prefer more savory offerings.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Superb Victorian house at walking distance of Sutton restaurants and boutiques. Very well appointed room with cozy furniture.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were beautiful The massage was mins blowing Loves the steam shower &sauna
Cons: The breakfast wasn't very good and from the pictures I was under the impression it was more isolated
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Maryse was great and very accommodating. In the first room (Josephine) there was no standing shower, and with my injured back it would have been difficult to shower sitting in a tub, so for a little extra we were able to upgrade a room with a separate standing shower, and that room was great! - my review is based on experience in that room. Unfortunately, it turned out that I am allergic to her cats, so we had to leave a lot sooner than planned, which was a shame because everything was great! Maryse was very understanding about it and even kind enough to look for an alternative accommodation for us. On a separate note, the breakfast was also great! Highly recommend.
Cons: That we had to leave.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was spectacular - a different mix of gourmet items on each of the four mornings we stayed.
Gîte Au Chant de l'Onde - Sutton - Building

9.6 Excellent (52 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful interior Very cosy and comfortable and clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room had a view of the lovely stream. The grounds were inviting and accessible. Much attention was paid to ecological matters; e.g. an organic breakfast,, efforts to conserve water and energy, local hair and body products that were organic and used Native American herbs.. I would hope that other proprietors follow their example. The owners were hospitable and engaged; they offered advice on an itinerary for our short visit.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: All home made breakfast. Friendly hosts. Nice living room to use.
Cons: Beds could have been bigger. A regular double bed is no longer acceptable for two people. All beds should be at least queen.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Christine and Pierre went out of their way to accommodate for food intolerances. Despite being located right in the village, we felt very cosy and secluded. It was really fun chatting about the area and all the events, activities that take place
Cons: We came in a bit late after a function and at 12:30 am we found the floors really creaky, we were quite concerned about waking other guests! The other thing we didn't like is that we did have to come back home, we would have preferred staying in Frelighsburg!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful B & B in a gorgeous setting. Pierre and Christine went well beyond the call of duty to make our stay pleasant, even sharing supper with our son while we had to return our defective rental car to Montreal. Breakfasts were unbelievable. We can't give any but the highest rating to Le Gite.
Cons: Place was perfect for us. Folks expecting a wild night life won't find it in Frelighsburg. If you're into beautiful back roads, pretty villages, Ice Cider and Ice wine, this is the place for you.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Pierre welcomed us warmly on our arrival and made us feel at home Breakfast was an absolute treat. Lovingly prepared by Christine and a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach.

Pros: staff, restaurant, beers, and salads were excellent. location was near everything
Cons: pillows were over stuffed. restaurant and most of the hotel closed on Tuesdays.

Pros: Breakfast was at a nearby cafe, which offered a nice breakfast. Guests from the property receive 15% off at the breakfast place. Location of the auberge was excellent - right in town and short drive from skiing/hiking/snowshoeing.
Cons: There wasn't much space for 'hanging out' at the property (ie not that much space in the room itself for just hanging out and no common spaces in the inn other than at the bar).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: As a big craft beer and microbrewery fan, I loved having a room right above the Brewery/Restaurant. I also enjoyed the king size bed and the 2nd king bed in the loft for the kids. The town of Sutton is very quaint and beautiful, great skiing at Sutton as well. Would love to see it in the summer some time. The people in that town and area are great. Would definitely go back.
Cons: Didn’t like the smell of the soap and shampoo they provide. Bring your own.

Pros: Perfect location to tour Sutton and surrounding areas. The room was quiet and the bed so comfortable. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
Cons: Nothing!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness, the tastefulness of decorations in the room and colors. Also the hotel is in an old house which gives it character. The shampoo in the bathroom was so good that I decided to buy one for myself!
Cons: The only thing that could be improved is the door room that transfer the sound from outside. But I guess they've chosen to not change them to preserve the integrity of this historic house.

Pros: Accommodations, breakfast and our charming host Bertin made it a great Mimi get away.
Cons: It was all fine.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the breakfast outstanding. Close to everything. Very friendly staff. A pleasant experience.
Cons: I like a softer mattress, but my husband Jeff was happy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a wonderful small hotel and restaurant in an up and coming resort style area in Sutton, Quebec. The owner greeted us on check-in, showed us to our room, and was there to serve us breakfast the next morning. Our room was smaller, but very European in nature, and we lacked for nothing. The food was exquisite, the ambience serene, and the proximity to town perfect. I would love to spend a month here.
Cons: We were traveling for 10 days and had large suitcases that had to be carried upstairs. That was not fun, but a minor inconvenience.

Pros: This is the perfect country place with a nice path for walks and beautiful trees. Very peaceful and pleasant. The breakfasts are super good and all home made. Pina, the hostess, is very kind and a great artist. It is only 6km from the pretty town of Sutton (nice little cafés, restaurants and all.) I definitely recommend it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pina's house is very special. When you arrive you are greeted by the smell of pine trees and silence of the countryside. The house has so much to discover. It was great for my little one because you can hang a swing inside the large open living space. Pina has a wonderful nook with a mattress and toys to play with. Outside is a hammock and a small sand box and of course the pool. We loved that place. The Eastern Townships are just wonderful. Great hospitality and we'll definitely return.

7.6 Good
Pros: We were greeted by the owner (French speaking but spoke English) and she was very pleasant and welcoming, although extremely busy with dinner service at that point. She offered to help us with hiking/walking options when she wasn't so busy. Our room was small with a private bath, rustic and cozy. We chose not to have breakfast at the Auberge although it is offered for a fee.
Cons: Pillows not to our liking. The toilet had a plunger issue and constantly ran loudly every time it was used because the cycle didn't end. We had to take off the back and manually adjust the plunger each time --quite a hassle. It was so late and we were so tired that we didn't have the Auberge address it that night. However, in the morning when we checked out (1 night), we mentioned the toilet and the woman (not the owner) responded like she already knew it was a problem and didn't even offer an apology for not notifying us or for the hassle. That was very disappointing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Sophie at the front desk was very helpful and a complete sweetheart. The restaurant is also delicious!
7.5 Good
Cons: There as no coffee available in the room and not downstairs until we asked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had dinner at the Inn restaurant and were delighted. The breakfast was also very good. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The Inn Keeper took extra time to inform us about the area and provided several discount cards for the places she recommended. A great little get away in a beautiful area. We will return.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfy bed
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We highly recommend this place for the location right very close to Sutton Mountain Skiing Resort, for the wonderful comfy home ambiance and most of all for the staff and owner that are welcoming and making sure to give you whatever you need during your stay. My husband and I are vegan and the Chef Christian made sure to give us wonderful and delicious options for our meals! The cuisine is worthy of very high standards, if you stay at this place don't go wanting to have dinner or breakfast elsewhere as you would absolutely miss the opportunity to discover their remarkable menu! Thank you Patricia and Christian!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great food, exceptional breakfasts, the dinners there are special. Wonderful location and the folks who work there and run the auberge are all brilliant!
Cons: No complaints!

Pros: The location was perfect for the ski. Very quiet! The bed was very comfortable. Nice owners Wifi
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Cute and cozy room with loft bed for kids
Cons: Breakfast and room sound proofing could be better.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This place is a 5 minute drive past the town of Sutton, easy to get to. The room was small but cute and everything in the room was clean and nicely set up. We had room 1 so our daughter had a cute and comfy loft bed up a ladder. The breakfast room down the hall is a shared area, and Alex the host laid out various breakfast supplies each morning. cereal, bread, yogurt, juice, coffee. very handy! There was room in the fridge for us to store some extra snacks we had brought too. Unexpected bonus was several extra shared bathrooms across from the breakfast room, so we never had bathroom contention for toilet or showers despite sharing our room with a teenager :)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The price was right. We had access to a full fridge, microwave, and cute little lounge. It is not for everyone, as the bathrooms were shared, and the windows leak, but the bed was comfy, and the place was clean. Breakfast was self serve, which I also like. The young man who checked us in was very pleasant, and very helpful with restaurant suggestions.
Cons: It was not very soundproof, which was fine for us, as there were very few people staying there, and we were getting up to ski. It is “rustic”, but we would stay again.
7.5 Good
Pros: scenery was beautiful and relaxing host was friendly and informative
Cons: the other guests who were there were in the breakfast room very early and were very loud and as our room was just across from there it was not a.peaceful morning
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice at reception, room was just as pictured, no surprises. it was very clean. Continental breakfast is generous. Feels like an old-school summer camp revamped nicely into a country lodging.
Cons: NOthing really, the only comment is maybe modernize the bathroom, much older than the room itself
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Easy check in. Good wifi
6.8 Good
Cons: Breakfast was poor, coffee - bad.
6.3 Good
Pros: Not expensive, okay for one night
Cons: No milk for breakfast, electricity went out, small bed
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very Homey kind of B&B. We loved the quiet surroundings. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean.
Cons: The signing could be improved and perhaps fresh cut grass at the entrance would enhance the look of the place. Improve air flow with a fan or air conditioning.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous location and nice grounds, nice clean room.
Cons: The breakfast was pretty mediocre. It was a cold buffet of cereal, bagels, croissants and fresh fruit. It stayed the same both mornings we ate there. And even though it was a buffet, I noticed a 15% service charge on our bill.

Cons: Room a little bit bigger.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, fair price, clean and comfortable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We needed a place to stay for one night before we took possession of a property in the area. We had to arrive late and leave early. The staff accommodated us perfectly by leaving keys in a late arrival box, preparing breakfast in advance and leaving it in the room for us for the next morning, etc. She was very pleasant and accommodating on the phone. The room was very clean, had everything one would need. The bed was very comfortable. We will definitely recommend Le Montagnard in Sutton to friends and family. They have dog friendly rooms which accommodated us and our dogs. Excellent property.
9.5 Excellent

Cons: Only one bathroom for 7 people was a little challenging.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy beds, and the staff were helpful and very friendly. Good location, close to the ski hill and the town of Sutton.
Cons: No real complaints. The apartment we rented was a bit smaller than expected, but it was clean and had everything we needed for a weekend on the slopes.

Pros: The breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely friendly and nice. But the room was extremely small and not very comfortable.
Cons: The room was way too small, the linens and towels were cheap, the bed and pillows not the best.

Cons: breakfast is just coffee and toasts.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, everything was clean and the hotel decor is really nice
Cons: Was travelling with baby, no ramp for stroller, to get to room there were some stairs would need a little improvement with these issues.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: View and location excellent, room was large, modern and very clean.
Cons: It was warm, the room was so warm (I couldn’t leave the small window slides open due to the storms - and the AC was non existent. So had fans blowing all night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: friendly, very easy with kids, ideally located for the slopes! 3 min drive and you're in Sutton car park. nice swimming pool and hot tub for end of day, and nice bar/restaurant area to relax in but not pressured to use. great hot shower. outdoor fire with chairs to watch sunset, easy parking and access to hotel. quick to get to Sutton itself as well - IGA etc
Cons: only minor thing is the bistro - slightly above the post-ski offerings of burgers and pizza - which is probably a good thing, and the staff are friendly, but the service for the type of food is a bit of a mis-match from the kitchen and to the table - things coming in odd order etc. people serving are lovely though and the food itself is great - still rate the whole thing a 10!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast wasn't rich of proteins, I believe variety of options would only be advantageous for the hotel, clientele will be happy. The dinner at the restaurant was amazing, not many restaurant in this area so many offer gluten free options.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the serenity of the chalets. Beautiful setting in the woods. Pool was a bonus for kids apres ski.
Cons: No housekeeping at all at the chalets. Garbage pick up at least every other day would have been nice.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The cabins are perfect! They are off the beaten path, roomy and quiet.
Cons: There is no oven in the cabin (but a dish washer in a place that would be ideal for that).
