When I first arrived, I was very sick from something I caught in Iquitos, a few days earlier. The host, Henry, went out of his way to make sure I was happy and comfortable. I visited Moyobamba for a couple of days. When I returned to "Backpacker Colores Mishki Shunku", I was much better. I chose to come back to "Backpacker Colores Mishki Shunku" because of the warm and friendly atmosphere, and because I felt very safe here, and because Henry was so welcoming and willing to make me comfortable. I was also delighted to interact with his young niece and nephew, once I was feeling better. We played cards together and I bought them some marbles and taught them how to play. The street is quiet, and very safe! There are restaurants available nearby. There is also a kitchen in "Backpacker Colores Mishki Shunku" that guests can use, although I didn't. The bed was comfortable. The linens were clean and fresh. My roommates were quiet and respectful. There was very little about my stay at "Backpacker Colores Mishki Shunku" that I DIDN'T like.
I guess my only complaint was the bathrooms. There are only two. One bathroom has a toilet, a shower, and a sink. The other bathroom only has a toilet. What this means is that sometimes you have to wait for the bathroom, if you want to take a shower. But it could have been worse; when they're at full capacity the demand for the bathrooms must be even greater.
The place is tranquil and comfortable. You can't hear all the noise from the city from there. Also, Henry is a very nice person and always trying to help. We will be staying here the next time in Tarapoto!
Henry is a really nice guy and great host
Henry is very helpful with everything. You can wash clothes and hang them to dry there.
Located far from everything. I had to walk a long way to find food. There is no fan in the room, making it very warm
