Pros: Ocean views, the pool bar where you can also watch surfers, and Kuilima Cove (decent snorkeling in a protected cove, umbrella and lounge chairs at the beach for hotel guests on a first come basis)
Cons: Pool was crowded, there was a bit of a wait for check-in
Pros: EVERYTHING!!! This was our first but definitely our last trip to Turtle Bay. Many thanks to Dennis, Monica and Neric for taking such good care of us. I believe Ian is the food and beverage director. He went out of his way to get my family a table for the 4th of July dinner.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Turtle Bay for a wonderful vacation!
Pros: The hotel, staff, amenities are just added extras, the view and beach are what people think of when wanting to visit Hawaii. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Cons: Overall atmosphere was lacking. Staff was not friendly. Seemsed to be undestaffed
Pros: The accessibility of everything. The good and drinks were great. The fitness center was located in a nice spot. All the staff were friendly.
Cons: Lack of things to do on a rainy day.
Pros: resort was beatiful, nice spot on the point of beach.
Cons: a/c was broke in the room. was able to sleep with sliding door open to be somewhat comfortable.
Pros: The room was very nice and the food at all the restaurants was excellent, sometimes bordering on amazing. The staff was friendly and always helpful. And the location is terrifically beautiful.
Cons: There were lots of little problems with our room that pointed to a lack of preventative maintenance, -'d the seemed to be having trouble with the fire alarm system. We had 2 false alarms during our 5 night stay. All in all, nothing terrible. Just small annoyances. But the manager did right by us and we are happy with the outcome.
Pros: Carol, very clean and lovely rooms
Cons: Fire alarm going off twice in the middle of the night,a charge for everything possible.
Cons: Room and hallway Decor needs an update. Choose color schemes that are classic not trendy. Floors should be hardwood since it's humid.
Pros: Away from Honolulu and nice mix of guests
Cons: Beachside Restaurant (Formerly Ola, going to be Roy's) has been under construction for a long, long, time!
Pros: Rooms were nice. Clean. Great view of the water, even from a partial view room.
Cons: Beds were too soft. Not a good value: they charge a resort fee and all you get is a beach towel and 2 hours rental of snorkel gear. Their website shows kayaking, bikes, etc. it is all extra - and expensive. Very misleading. Only ate at one restaurant and the food was not great so we ate the rest of our meals off the property.
Pros: Beautiful place with a friendly staff
Cons: They screw thou with a 38 dollar resort fee (used to be 25) and do everything in their ability to get you to cash out, and it shows. Pretty disgusted considering the trips are normally amazing with turtle bay. Has gotten considerably worse (price wise).
Pros: The place was relatively secluded and quiet with a family friendly atmosphere and ambiance. Liked the pool which seemed really good for the children. The rooms were like a bungalow which was also a forte and loved the multiple exiting doors. The reception was good but the dining options had too much limitations, the included breakfast was OK though. For family themed visits with plans to spend time at the Polynesian center, this a good choice,
Cons: Looking at the proximity to the beach, thought there would be a private beach, but was really let down when the beach was across the road and the approach through a narrow pass that had to be searched for, the beach was not so good either. The proximity to the Polynesian cultural center would have been the motive for this hotel but we having arrived in the weekend had a hard time finding a dinner on Sunday!! All nearby establishments were closed maybe to the influence of the Mormon presence. So if your like the occasional drinks, this is not the place for you
Pros: The service from all the employee's was outstanding...especially the front desk lady names Briar, she went above and beyond. Everything in the hotel was very and new and modern. The beach being just across the street was fantastic as well. We would for sure stay there again.
Pros: It was lovely, my whole family would have enjoyed it.
Pros: Nice calm location on Oahu, far from maddening Honolulu more pertinent for a vacation, brand new facilities and very clean
Cons: Across a busy road from the beach so even preteen children cannot cross unsupervised. Beach was mediocre. Some of the personnel weren't quite sure what were they doing there anyway
Cons: The webpage neglected to mention the "poolside lounge" didn't serve alcohol. This is a dry community! The hotel was nice, and adjacent to the Polynesian Cultural Center, but far from the nearest bar. Turtle Bay Resort is the closest.
